I can't say enough positive things about Heather and her work. If I could give her 100 stars, I would. She is extremely professional, yet friendly and personable. She worked on me for 5 hours straight, and the time just flew by! I absolutely love the process of how she does things during the consultation, and all the way through leading up to getting the actual tattoo. She is very thorough and clean. I love how patient she is, and how she is client centered; she really strives to make you happy, and do exactly what you want. That is so refreshing because so many tattoo artists try to push their ideas of what they want to do on you- even though it will be on your body forever. She also uses disposable needles, which I think is a great comfort to know that it's a fresh needle that has not been used on someone else before. Heather has her own shop, which is cool because it is nice, quiet, and provides good privacy. She did exactly what I wanted, and I am extremely pleased with her work. Heather works quickly without compromising the quality of her work. I will be returning to get more work done with her. I'm so excited to give her some more of my tattoo ideas. My mom is going to schedule a consultation with her too. I'm seriously going to refer all of my family and friends to her because she is awesome! I walked in for a tattoo on my outer left calf today and I was very happy with the results. I gave her a watercolor picture of a hummingbird and a morning glory flower (which happens to be my birth flower) and she made it look absolutely beautiful. I have tons of tattoos and this by far was the best experience. Quiet little place near Winchester road, Heather the owner was both friendly and immensely talented. Heather is a great tattoo artist! I went here to get a tattoo done a few weeks ago and her space is really cool and unique. It serves as an art gallery in the front and a tattoo shop in the back, which is really awesome. Heather did a wonderful job on my tattoo and paid very close attention to detail when working on my tattoo and doing touch ups at the end. You can tell she's passionate about her work. During the session we got to chat and she's very personable and friendly, not pretentious or egotistical as many other tattoo artists are in the area. Sometimes going to a tattoo shop can be intimidating, but Heather is very welcoming and provided a great experience for me. I'll definitely be going back in the future to get work done and also to check out her artwork. I JUST got home from Heather's after getting my first tattoo and I just had to write a review for her. Even though I don't have that much experience with tattoo shops, Heather will be the one and only artist I will be recommending from now on. She is an absolutely amazing artist with the most beautiful personality and she will make you feel at ease in no time. From the moment I set foot into her gallery, Heather greeted me with a friendly smile and we talked for an hour so that she could make sure that the design I had in my mind was exactly the way it was on her computer so that it was the perfect way I wanted it. She quoted me 3 to 3.5 hours and gave me a super reasonable price. I made an appointment for the following day. When I went in for my tattoo, after doing some paper work I went into the back room where she does the actual tattooing. The room is super clean and had a homey feel that made me instantly comfortable. While Heather was getting ready, she chatted with me, turned on music and just made me feel so at home with her. During the entire time I was getting tattooed she made sure I was feeling ok, chatted with me about everything and truly treated me like a friend rather than the client. I didn't feel the pain or any discomfort at all. Honestly, time flew and before I knew it, my tattoo was finished. It ended up taking only 1hr 45min and she gave me 10% off for it being my first tattoo, plus the yelp deal. Heather is absolutely fantastic! I have 4 tattoos and she has done 3 of them. The first one was by someone else, but since she did my second tattoo, I've been a regular! I have even brought two friends in to get tattoos, and they are still extremely satisfied with their pieces. Heather serves her customers so well because she makes them feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment they walk in the door! She is a wonderful artist and creates lovely work, and she also is willing to get creative with you if you aren't sure what you want. If you know exactly what you want, she'll stick to it for you. She's not out to change what you want on your body (unless you want her to), and I think that's a great quality to find in a tattoo artist! The paperwork you have to fill out is also very specific, which is good for people who are new to tattoos or who already have a few: there are no surprises. Her aftercare directions are extremely specific as well, and I can credit those instructions for not having any post-inked issues (like infections). If anyone is wondering, she uses disposable needles, too! I would recommend her to anyone who would is looking for great local artist! P.S.: Since her shop is a gallery, she also has tons of artwork on the walls for sale. It's often switched to different artwork, so every time you go in, it looks different! Way cool! read more
