The refund CHECK for $9,840 this company sent me BOUNCED - didn't clear. I cancelled escrow due to the many repairs that were needed. Escrow Technologies sent me a refund check for my earnest money deposit of $9840 but it bounced and now no one answers their phone even though they are supposedly open. How do I get back my money that they have held on to? Based on their check bouncing, be wary of this company read more

PAUL FRONDARINA!!!! Had the pleasure of working with him on a purchase for our mutual client and Paul was ON IT! He would make sure to email and call me (appropriately timed) to check on the loan and make sure everything was going smoothly. Kept in contact with all parties involved to make sure everyone was kept up to date and happy with the communication. Escrow ran a little late (no fault to anyone), but we were able to get the file done and Paul made so we had everything we needed on his side. Full disclosure, I was the loan officer working on the loan and he was a pleasure to work with. Cannot say enough about Paul. Absolute hell to work with. Looking at previous reviews, no wonder escrow closings are late. Anticipate for emails marked as urgent to be IGNORED and to be HUNG UP on multiple times. Terrible experience with Terri Eden. AVOID. We closed back in December 2020, during COVID, and not a single COVID procedure was followed in the entire building. No masks, no sanitizers. Neither Terri nor the receptionist ever wore masks, despite needing to personally escort guests up the closed confined of an elevator. No one in the entire office had a mask on. As the other reviewers have also echoed, Terri Eden handled our escrow closing terribly and is very rude. There were multiple mistakes in our final closing that had to be adjusted. I definitely feel like I was taken advantage of in the overall transaction. When a service fee forgot to submit an invoice be included in closing, Terri was very happy to point out that even though it wasn't in the closing, since I signed that I would pay it, I was liable, which I thought was fair enough at first. However, in the same call, when I brought up that the document for $*k repair credit from the seller was not included in closing due to a series of events, she absolutely refused to contact the seller even though the seller signed a document that he would pay for it by closing. I fail the see the difference in these scenarios where both amounts were agreed to be paid in signed agreements and both had missed the closing. I explained this lack of logic to Terri and she just told me that I'm out of luck and refused to contact the seller over nonpayment despite being perfectly happy to contact me in a case of nonpayment. Terri even wanted me to pay Escrow Technologies instead of the fee originator directly, but I completely did not trust her. Terri was very frustrated that I had the nerve to request a copy of the invoice before I paid. I found out from the fee originator that Terri lied to her that I said I was not going to pay at all, which I clarified with was completely false. In my conversation with Terri, I had only said that I was not going to pay before I received a copy of the invoice and that I wanted to pay the fee originator directly, both requests which I thought were reasonable. I would advise everyone to actively avoid this escrow company and save yourself all the fees and go elsewhere. read more

If it was possible to give -10 stars I would. Do not use this escrow company I was forced to use this company they were horrible from start to finish I had to do the recording myself and even messed that up when I showed up to do the recording the man had no idea who I was and didn't have my paperwork they didn't give me any type of file number. They spelled my name wrong on the final title. I don't understand why they get paid to do such a bad job? They didn't tell me I owed money until a few hours before I was supposed to come in to sign paperwork. Your final statement had extra charges on it like $1000 for insurance I had already purchased. They gave me the final HUD late! My broker had to request it. These people are asleep at the wheel and do a horrible job the only person who did a good job was the notary. Their emails look like a 12-year-old wrote them and have pictures and graphics that no one wants to look at. They don't acknowledge these numbers on their sheet are your hard earned life savings. Anyhow, We finally received a letter from the owner of the company stating that their $1,000 cancellation fee was industry standard. Being that I've worked in the industry for over 10 years and have dealt with numerous escrows, this fee is not standard especially for a $430,000 home purchase! There are numerous reputable escrow companies with FAIR fees and Escrow Technologies is not one of them. Shop elsewhere. Their assigned officer was absolutely the most unprofessional, immature and had the worse spelling. I have saved all of her emails for evidence because it looked like they were written by a 10-year old. I'd be happy to share them with anyone. read more

I'd never heard of these guys prior to our experience with them, and I really hope I don't have to deal with them again. FIrst off, our escrow was delayed two weeks delaye from the original closing date. During this time, Escrow Technologies sought to paint the picture that our Lender was extremely difficult to deal with because the loan came with certain pre-requisites. However, word got out eventually that Escrow Technologies were more than incompetent on their end. We found out our lender had never experienced the kind of mishaps that occurred. We were over thirty days into the process, and we were getting word that Escrow Technologies were misspelling our names on applications. Thus, the applications were being returned and delayed. They were also putting the wrong loan numbers on the documents occasionally, causing further delays. To make matters worse, I work at a law firm, so notaries are freely available to me. Yet we were forced to pay ridiculous charges for notary services because they make it so you have to use the service they hire to deliver the documents to you for signature. It's a great service, but at $195 I expect the guy's certification to be up to date. Apparently, this guy had let his notary lapse, and it took time for the renewal. This led to further delays of our documents being sent via fed ex to our Lender because his notary seal wasn't official until his documents were updated. In speaking with our escrow officer Joan after having heard all this, I simply posed the question as to whether she'd expect to pay full price for these kind of services. She used the fact that she had other deadlines to truly avoid finishing that conversation, though she said she'd try to figure something out. Naturally, she did nothing that we are aware of, though their estimate was high and we received a check back for over $700. That was the only reason I give them two stars. High estimates are much better than low ones. However, I feel like I would never recommend this company to a friend as this kind of ineptitude and stress we dealt with while they attempted to push off blame was simply unwarranted and unprofessional. read more

The experience was not great. We did not get answers to many questions we had. The day we were supposed to get posession of the house,they told us that they were not responsible for the keys and it was our problem to deal with the former home owner. AS GOOD AS IT GETS!! I've had several great experiences with this escrow company and have had a chance to get to know the personal over the years and I've always had a very good experience. What I like most about Escrow Tech is they always answer their phones and each escrow officer is very knowledgeable. One thing I can tell you is that they operate under fair guidelines, but if you think they are working for free then think again.. In real estate every time an escrow gets open the officers are working the file. If buyers decide to cancel escrow once the process has been started then they can expect to be charged like any other escrow company or business in general. I have closed dozens of transactions and this was by far the worst escrow company I've ever worked with, for the following reasons: 1. Their escrow fees were the highest I've ever seen. If you're considering using them, I recommend you find out exactly what their fees are before you agree to use them. 2. I found the conduct of both the escrow officer and her manager very unprofessional. I will never use Escrow Technologies again, nor would I recommend them to anyone else. read more

I normally don't leave reviews unless I can't stand or love too much. Don't ever let you agent choose this escrow company! If you are lucky enough to choose one by yourself, make sure compare price and you will know how much higher they charge than the market price. If there was a way to give this place negative stars, I would. My husband and I went through this company with buying our new home. Our escrow officer, Deanna, was like a high school teenager with her drama and mood swings. She did the very least she could do on a constant basis, and I had to get my loan officer involved since she wouldn't answer any questions. It got to the point where Deanna refused to talk to the loan officer because she didn't "like the way she talked to" her. It was the most awful experience I have ever been through.
