Typical stealership - like a slimey f boy at the bar, they tell you everything you want to hear until you've given them what they want and then you're dead to them. I went in after making several other stops that morning and stayed on their lot for 5 hours test driving different vehicles and going back and forth with financing options. Perfect credit, btw: 820+. One of the first things the salesperson was told is that I needed a light duty truck with more towing capacity than a Maverick - looking in the 7,000lbs range. In the excitement of finding what seemed like the perfect truck, that main concern was forgotten about. Not their fault any more than mine - I'd researched Colorados and knew that they could do what I wanted so long as they were equipped with a $985 tow package. The real issue is the runaround that spiraled afterward. After signing the deal and realizing it wasn't equipped with a hitch the next day, I messaged the salesperson on his preferred medium of Facebook Messenger. I asked for an email address to keep things formal and documented. He gave me one but then told me he doesn't check it often so to let him know when I sent something. I did. Then he said he's too young and doesn't know how to use email. I told him to figure it out, to which he finally said that it's a company-wide issue where nobody is able to get into their email. I had already made clear that I didn't want to talk on the phone and email was preferred to keep things written, and he insisted on asking for my phone number for someone to call. I gave it to him 8 days ago and I have yet to hear anything. In fact, every time I call, I'm told to check the window sticker (truck sat on the lot so long the sticker was faded and nonexistent), or to call Truck Toyz to have an aftermarket tow package installed, or that they'll call me back, and and and. They don't know what the tow rating is. They can't tell me the differences in a truck that has it vs one that doesn't. Several people at the dealership continue to tell me it's nothing more than a piece of metal and a wiring harness but if that were true, why would anybody pay extra for a tow package when they could get the hitch off Amazon for $140? Why would Chevy list the tow rating as being more than double simply because of a hitch receiver? For tens of thousands of dollars, you'd think someone could tell me that a button labeled "tow/haul mode" is more than aesthetic. They ask what I'm trying to tow and fail to realize I don't want a verbal "okay" on towing what I want to tow - I want the peace of mind that what I purchased has the versatility to tow up to 7,700lbs. "Well just come back and get a bigger truck." I'm not wasting another entire day just to get into something else I can't afford and still doesn't have follow up that matters. They've literally told me that my warranty covers the transmission so just to "send it" and if it blows up, they'll cover it. Like that's a headache I want to deal with, not to mention all the fine print in those warranties that you know they'll use to find a loophole and screw me over if/when that does ever finally happen. In fact, it's likely my agreement is already null and void considering I can't get a clear answer from them who my financing company is with and therefore have nothing to tell insurance so that they can cover the vehicle. Again, I've been told to look on my agreement papers as well as some other made up thing that neither google, chatGPT, or my insurance company recognizes. The new and freshly-detailed truck came with a big stain on the floor under where floor mats should have been and it's another runaround to get those (as promised) as well as a spare key (also promised). For $38 on Amazon and a mobile mechanic, the latter could have been done ages ago. If you want to buy a vehicle from them, they have a wide inventory - but do your own research first including an in-depth look at the vehicle's VIN. This was one of the most unprofessional and frustrating dealership experiences we've ever had. We spent hours negotiating a lease in good faith based on the vehicle that the dealership themselves pulled, presented, and continued to negotiate on. During the process, we were handed off between multiple employees, including a different lease manager, yet no one verified the correct vehicle or VIN at any point. Only after extensive negotiation and reaching agreed-upon terms did the dealership suddenly inform us that the deal was done on the wrong truck, a mistake that was entirely internal and entirely avoidable. Even worse, they refused to honor the negotiated price, offered no apology, and took no ownership of their error. At no point were we shown the correct vehicle or given a chance to renegotiate transparently. Instead, the tone shifted to deflection and dismissiveness, as if their mistake was somehow our responsibility. This wasn't a misunderstanding, it was a complete breakdown in process, communication, and accountability. A dealership that can't keep track of which vehicle they're negotiating on, then refuses to stand behind their own numbers, should seriously reevaluate how they do business. We walked away not because we're unreasonable, but because we expect honesty, accuracy, and basic professionalism, none of which were present here. I am very disheartened with my experience at Escude Chevrolet. Today I went in for a standard oil change and tire rotation as we leave to go out of town this weekend. Upon arrival, service advisor was very polite and prompt getting me checked in and my car back for service. At checkout, I was informed that a multipoint inspection was performed on my vehicle and they found not one but both of my left and right engine mounts were "broken". I inquired on both the importance/pricing of resolving the issue and was told it would be $1700 and I would have to leave my car up to 8hrs or more because they would have to drop the entire engine. It is documented that I "voiced concern" upon check-in that the engine was "jumping in drive" which i did not mention, nor did I even notice anything of the sort. I left the dealership with concern as i stated previously we are taking a trip over 4hrs away for a week. I immediately phoned my father who directed me to another place who graciously agreed to look the engine over to confirm that both mounts were broken and to ensure the vehicle was safe to drive. After inspection from this mechanic, ONLY the left mount was broken. The right is intact with no issues. This person thoroughly went through the engine with me and showed me exactly what he was looking at and even had me sit in the car to "feel" what Escude documented that I complained of. When inquiring about price to fix this issue I was told that it would only be $500. It concerns me that I was not only lied to, but that the documents on my vehicles file also have been falsified. To add to this, when I pulled up this morning my tire pressor light was indeed on. I did not mention this to them as I knew that the TPMS sensor battery had gone out and I had planned to fix this with the tire shop in which i bought my tires. THIS was NOT documented on the multipoint inspection that they proclaimed they performed. Nor was I offered to have it fixed at the dealership. I went to the tire shop today to have the TPMS sensor replaced, and found out that when rotating my tires this morning during my service, my sensors were not reset and it was showing that the wrong tire needed sensor replacement. This should be STANDARD with tire rotations to reset sensors. Furthermore, my rear windshield wiper has also been faulty for several months, also not noted on multipoint inspection. It is very concerning to me that things that I know about but did not mention are not documented as being problems and even further, when i asked if any further issues were found with the vehicle upon inspection I was told "no, everything else looks great". Needless to say, i almost feel like i was taken advantage of and that my car did NOT get a thorough inspection.
