Extremely disappointing service at McKinney Dodge. After an oil change and tire rotation on my new Wagoneer (still under warranty), my windshield was left with sticky residue and noticeable scratches directly in front of my heads-up display. These were 100% not there prior to service. When I called, Riley Whitmire was empathetic and told us to bring it back so they could "make it right." We drove 30 minutes back, only for him to completely change his attitude and refuse all accountability. Wasting our time and gas after promising to fix damage they caused is completely unacceptable. Since my google review was somehow censored. Very poor experience working here. As a young man eager to work and make a career for myself, working here was a complete waste of my time. Overall I have nothing but good things to say for the Service department and sales department. Very low pay with no rewards, was started $3 below the hourly starting rate for the maintenance position. No raise within 5 months, had to use my personal truck for work and it has accumulated wear and tear that I will not be compensated for. I was not compensated for an oil change on my truck despite using it as a work truck daily. (I put over 5,000 miles within 5 months and only drove 4 miles total to and from work.) I used personal money to upgrade suspension for towing and work use. The owners won't spend money on anything unless it benefits themselves. Employees are told the company "can't afford" to give raises. Service advisors are overworked and paid low salary so the company doesn't have to pay them overtime. Same with the salesman, they're paid a poor salary and work 12 hour days. Technicians are paid poorly and robbed with flat rate. In the end I was fired for trying to switch to Lube Technician and did not receive my final pay for 42 days after fighting to get it in the first place. I called way ahead of time and talked to the service manager about two vehicles that I needed fixed. he said no problem bring them in I spent $400 to have them towed over to have them tell me they don't look good and I have 24 hours to get them off there lot. I had to spend another $400 to get them sent to another dealer which gladly fixed the two vehicles I needed. this is the second experience I had with them. we went to buy a Durango for my wife and they were so rude and disrespectful and treated us like garbage. we instead went down the road to the Chevy dealer and bought one cash. it sad what this place has become since the dad died. stay far way from this place it's not what it use to be. read more

Common sense. Service manager was way out of line and rude. All of this over changing the spare tire to original car rim. Manager argued that alignment would be out and therefore would not change out. Differently story if I had bought a new tire. They just didn't want to take job changing spare tire and so came up with a cockamamie excuse. Worst customer service and repair service I have ever experienced. We could not get anyone to answer the phone, call us back or even text us back while our truck was there to be repaired. We are on the 3rd time having to take the vehicle back due to it not being put back together properly. While there, they performed unauthorized recall work that we expressly told them NOT to do. When I tried to discuss this with the lane manager I was dismissed and spoken to rudely as well as lied to about the recall work being mandatory. When asked to speak with service manager was told he would try to get him but he rarely speaks to customers!! Once the service manager got involved the lane manager changed his tune completely and was trying to be respectful in front of his boss. If I could leave zero stars I would! They had a used truck that I called about last night. I asked for a salesperson and was assured the woman on the phone whose name was Victoria could help me. I asked if the truck was still available and told her I'd be coming from an hour and a half away with a Cashier's check to purchase the vehicle if it checked all the boxes. She asked what time I'd be there the next day and I said 11 AM. We rolled up with check in hand at 10:30 this morning to be told the truck had just sold. When I asked why no one called me before I drove an hour and a half no one knew because Victoria is just the lady who answers the phone and gets potential customers to a salesperson. Jeep Emissions Recall "service" I did not receive this service. It was a complete hassle the whole process start to finish.For a month I was always told to call next week by Cowboy and Max. The third week I called and someone different outside of those mechanics informed me that my parts wasn't on order because " I did not have an appointment ". I explained my situation and I was told to make an appointment . I made the appointment and the parts were on order. It took 2 days for the parts to come in after my appointment was made. I came in on Monday morning April 24th 2023 and I will be able to pick it up on Tuesday and have Wednesday blocked off just in case . I called twice on Tuesday the 25th no response and no updates. I called today the 25th which is the latest. They haven't even started. I picked up my car and that wasn't a great experience. My problem isn't that it's taking this long . My problem is the lack of communication. Though this process. If I was going to take longer tell your customers don't have them play the waiting game . Pros : Nice customer service on the phone . The lady that takes payment was extremely nice and was the only one that gave me updates . Cons : The maintenance team isn't accountable. Was in process of Buying a used jeep from a young sales lady by the name of Summer Hill who was very helpful and friendly. This process was over two days. An offer was made to me which I accepted over the phone. Once I arrived to complete the deal, the sales manager, Wes, came out and told us that there was a mistake on there end and he could not honor the price and it would be about $2500 higher than expected. To start, if you are a person who is high risk for COVID. Please note while we were waiting for an oil change at this location there was not a single employee that was wearing a mask. My family and I felt very uncomfortable and not safe. They also double charged my sister just because they assumed her name was Maria and confused her with someone else. Jarvis H first reached out to me online to find out exactly what car/trim level I wanted and he was able to track one down. I was then followed up by John Reeves who got me the car I wanted at a great price. We have purchased 3 vehicles over the past year, we have been bringing a total of 4 of our family cars here for service. We have had a number of great experiences with Brent from the sales department. We enjoy the approachable manner of Mr. McKinney himself in all of our visits to the dealership. However something has gone extremely wrong in the Service department and this is unfortunate. Billy Page is a awesome service manager, we had the pleasure of meeting him during an unfortunate tire dilemma- but he worked to make it right and he did so in a really quick fashion. Im not sure if Billy is still at the dealership? As i write this review I am perplexed because I am more saddened than I am frustrated. Now to the current dilemma-trying to get appointments for Service that align with my normal work schedule is challenging at best. Today my husband took my jeep for a scheduled oil change. When he arrived the visual chaos was concerning but he convinced himself it was busyness and checked the car in successfully after dealing with 2 Service reps. From there he stepped outside to take some calls for work, but all the while watching the "chaos". 45 minutes later he was hailed to come in to discuss the jeep. A Service Tech (later identified as Rodney) went over the Service and shared that when completing the 23 pt inspection they discovered I needed to replace a seal on the right rear of the vehicle. Ok... then my husband asked if I had any remaining oil changes on the package I had purchased earlier. Rodney said "no". So my husband proceeds to accept that as there is no option to purchase another package and he makes his way to the cashier to pay $38+/- for the oil change. When my husband was leaving the dealership he made a call to let me know the results of his trip. I was first taken back by the dissatisfaction in his voice over the service experience . Then Add insult to injury when I am told about no more oil changes and that no package was offered. And then throw salt on the wound by telling me I need a part that may be close to $400, with no regard for the lifetime extended warranty that we purchased. I let my husband finish his venting session before we completed our call. I then took the time to get answers for myself so I called and ask for the Service department. A young lady whose first name ended with sound of "Anna" answered and I proceeded to share how my husband had brought my jeep in and I wanted clarification about the part that was needed. She said let me look up your record and I proceeded to have to spell my name 4 times while listening to her voice go from rushed to rude. She then shared that Rodney was the person to talk to but she was gonna have to take my name and number to have him call me back. As I started to give my phone number, Rodney became available and jumped on the call. While at the time that seemed like a relief...that went bad as well. I repeated the scenario all over to Rodney and he quickly and confidently shared the Service overview. I asked if oil change packages were no longer available, he said that they were. I replied "well I'd rather have paid $75 for 4 than to pay $38 for 1 (duh?!). He quickly said oh well they are up to 4 for $100 (as if that was supposed to make it all better?). Then he realized the numbers and said that yes we could get the package on our next visit because it would be more cost effective. So then we switch over to talking about the seal for rear axle. I questioned if this part/Service was something covered under the extended warranty that we had. He replied that I would need to call the warranty company myself to inquire. Further explaining how there are so many different companies and each has different coverage. Ok I will accept that but I was baffled-I waited until I got home to confirm that the paperwork was still in my glove box, and there in black and white was the the contract and all its intricacies of detail. Set up a appointment to have my bumper sensors checked. Set the appointment up 2 week prior so that I could wait with the vehicle. Arrived on time and the service advisor said I would have to leave it 2 or 3 days for them to check it. I told him I have a appointment to have it looked now. I was sold an extended warranty that I felt was vastly overpriced and decided after the purchase that I'd like to cancel the coverage, as well all the other extra coverages, and be refunded. He left me a voicemail that he looked into the situation and he saw where they was an error made by someone at Mckinney Dodge and I was sold "commercial" warranty coverage. He agreed that they owed me some money back and wanted to keep the warranty in place. I've tried multiple times since that message was left(8 months ago) and have yet to get a call back to be refunded. I have left multiple messages, talked to multiple people that told me I would get a call back. I've heard nothing. I have finally given up and would like to let everyone know to be very, very careful because there is virtually no support from this dealerships finance department after they "accidently" charge someone "commercial" priced warranty coverage, when the buyer is an individual using the truck only for personal use. I was told I would be there an hour to an hour and a half. I was there 3 hours. Then I was told that al of my lugnuts were blown. How can every logout be blown. It costed 120 dollars. I didn't understand because mckinney services my tires theu are thr only one who touches them so they blew out the lugnuts!:I have talked to several mechanics including my husband. They said no way that every lugnut was blown out. I believe I was taken advantage of because I was a woman! Tires and power train for life isn't worth being ripped off. WORST PLACE TO DO BUSINESS WITH! READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE WASTING YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!! While I sat in McKinney's lot, after a 6.5 hour drive from Virginia, I had to wait 5 hours to test drive a 2012 Ram 3500 that was supposed to be ready for me by 10:00 that morning. When I arrived, they immediately took my trade in for a test drive and I was told I had to wait until they finished the test drive in my trade in, so I sat in the truck I was there to purchase and within 5 minutes, I found these issues with it: 1. It's been owned by a smoker and I was not informed of it. 2. The back tail light was out. 3. It was way past due for an oil change. 4. The 1 remote they had for the truck didn't work. 5. The 2 inside tires are worn out (has 4 rear tires since it's a dually). Then the "salesman", Angel Reyes gets an attitude with me for pointing all this out BEFORE I EVEN DRIVE THE TRUCK. He then gets in the truck and takes it to the service department (where it should have gone LONG before it was put up for sale)... Comes back and says, "ok let's sign all the paperwork so when it's out, it'll all be done"... I'm NOT signing paperwork on a truck that has all these issues before I even drive it when I found all this out long before I even put it in gear!!! So he then tells me "I can go to lunch or whatever, it'll be done getting all this fixed around 1:30". I had to hire a babysitter & left my house at 4:15am. I arrived at 10:30am. By 2:00pm I still hadn't got to test drive this truck. The "salesman" had a TERRIBLE attitude, not one manager was professional by any means and had not done anything about the situation, even after I complained to 3 of them multiple times. I have a 16 month old baby that was at home with a baby sitter. After FINALLY getting to drive the truck for the first time at 3:00, it did fine for the test drive & the drive home. The next day, the truck wouldn't start. The batteries were DEAD! A diesel takes 2 batteries which are $200 PER BATTERY! Then after looking at the truck better, to kill the smoke smell, Angel had them SOAK the headliner with stuff to kill the scent of smoke (which did NOT work) and it left a horrible stain on the headliner! The next day I took it to get inspected after I had to pay $400 for new batteries, then come to find out....The reverse lights don't work and the 3rd break light was out. Have called three times. Consistently put on hold and no follow up. Third time held for over 15 minutes. Receptionist just picks up and puts me back on hold. Asked for any manager. Out in hold again. Service receptionist finally picks up. She's "too busy training someone to pick up the phone". Finally spoke with someone who was actually in the service department and they said they only have a skeleton crew and no senior technicians on the weekend and no ability to be able to shuttle people back if their car is going to be in the shop for more than a couple of hours. I was on the phone for over 45 minutes just to try to speak to someone and they didn't care. Before Thanksgiving 2020 I bought a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sport Unlimited from them and had a positive sales experiance. I noticed that the Jeep LED headlights were flickering the 1st night we had it and when the lights were on high beam there was a dark space of about 30 feet where the low beam light normally would light up. Reported it to the service department at McKinney Dodge and they advised they would look at it when they installed the running boards in a week. Well they installed the running boards and accidently put a dent in the passenger side of the Jeep so they send it to Greg Porter's for two weeks to get the dent repaired. When it comes back from Greg Porter's Body Shop they tell me the headlights not working right is a Body Control Module problem and they can't get the Body Control Module part in until after Jan 6th, of 2021. So I had the new jeep a week and its been in the dealership repair shop almost two months now. The loaner vehicle they gave me has cracked windshield that I keep reporting is getting worse every cold day we have. read more

My wife and I recently visited McKinney's service dept with our 2020 Dodge Ram pickup after it went into limp mode for about 1/2 a mile while traveling home one evening. We were greeted by Jonathan immediately even though he was in the middle of his lunch. After explaining our problem Jonathan went out and looked at the dash and told us our fuel filters needed to be replaced. We asked how soon he could replace them and were told he could do it that day. What a surprise that was for us since we are new to the area and would wait weeks back home for an appt for anything needed done. We left our truck and received a call a few hours later that the service was completed and an appt was scheduled for our recalls and parts are ordered. Jonathan was very professional, courteous and accommodating and we were pleased to find that McKinney actually has diesel mechanics at the facility to service our truck. Disappointed with this Service Department! Like other reviews have stated, they never answer the phone. This is so frustrating!!! I took my Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk in for service religiously since I relocated from Florida back in 2018. My service advisor (no longer working there) was awesome!!! They have had their share of turnover. In December 2019, I took it in for an oil change and inspection of a loud noise every time I hit a bump or SC pothole. Service advisor called within an hour stating that the car was ready to be picked up. Wow, I asked her what about the loud noise? She replied that they did not find anything wrong. I was trusting them but doubted that they even took it for a road test. Next oil change, I mentioned the noise. Again, nothing. In June, I took it in again because now the tires were"singing" loudly AND the noise was still there on every bump. Several hours later, the advisor calls me to say I need a new rear differential-$2,600. Ouch! Putting my trust in them, told them to go ahead. My vehicle was there for 7 days. It took several days for them to get the part. Then, the advisor informed me that they were short-handed on mechanics. Finally, though after a week it was ready. I went to pick up my vehicle drove half a mile down the road and the tires were still "singing" loudly. Come to learn that the tires were cupping. Turned around and drove back. The service manager Kevin came out and said that "the advisor should have told you that you need 4 new tires." What? I just spent $2600. Now, I'm starting to think that I really did not need a rear differential. A week later I agreed to purchase new tires because I could not deal with the noise. Service Manager agreed to discount 2 tires free due to advisor's failure to communicate. Another $400 for tires. Okay, but what about the loud noise every time I hit a bump in the road? I took to YOUTUBE and watched some videos about wheel ball joints. I asked the service manager to have the mechanic check that. Well what do you know, the ball joint was "slightly" loose. I REALLY FEEL THAT THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN CAUGHT IN DECEMBER WHEN I ORIGINALLY MADE THEM AWARE OF MY CONCERN. Maybe/Probably, I would not have needed new tires. THEY NEVER EVEN OFFERED ME A LOANER CAR. AND to this day, I STILL DON'T BELIEVE THAT I NEEDED A NEW REAR DIFFERENTIAL - I firmly believe that they ripped me off to meet a quota. After yet another issue with the battery (a bad cell) only a month later, another $200 to McKinney I was so angry that I traded my Jeep in for a Mazda CX-5 from Bradshaw Mazda. Big shoutout to the service department today. I was traveling from FL to NC and check engine light came on near GA-SC border. I called ahead, John said "Come on, we'll take a look" and within 5 minutes of pulling into the shop Derek (sp?) was running the diagnostic test and had me out the door in no time with codes reset and peace of mind restored. Let me start this by stating that the dealings I had with the sales rep, Chris C., were just fine. Nice guy knowledgeable, easy to talk with. And since all cars are in such short supply, we all know that price drops are out of the question. At least McKinney didn't have ADM. I had saved enough, plus the trade in, to allow me to buy the car outright, without the need of a loan. The sales rep and the "sales manager" both told me that McKinney policy was that I had to take a loan on the car as a condition of the sale. Strange business policy, isn't it? After that it was all downhill, and as usual, it was all with the finance department. This is the fifth time in a row that the finance department of a dealership has cast a pall over the "experience". In the past 8 years, we have encountered a rude finance person (Mazda), a rude/lazy/petulant finance person (BMW), a dishonest finance person (Mazda) and finally an extremely officious finance person (McKinney Mazda). I'll spare the details, but the initial dealings with the finance person were within earshot of the "sales manager", who immediately put his head down and pretended not to notice. He obviously had no intention of asserting any authority. He later found the time to disappear until I left the dealership. The problem I had with the finance person could have been rectified by me, without her interference. And remember that my dealing with the finance person should have been confined to me saying "no" to all the costly marvelous add-ons and "insurances" that are peddled in that office, then saying goodbye. In any case, this time was the only time that McKinney Mazda would ever see me, unless it is for warranty service. I can hardly wait. read more

I got my 2015 Hyundai Sonata from here and I loved it in the beginning. I JUST got this car last December (2017) and it's now may (2018) and I've had to refill all my fluids. The oil change was behind when I got it. Not to mention new ties all around because they were worn out. And as if it couldn't get any better, when it hits hot summer with my black interior, the AC goes completely out and they just tell me to go deal with Hyundai. Hyundai wants to charge me $110 diagnostics fee. Great customer service McKinney. I was coming back with my husband for a truck, but now I'm thinking twice. read more

Do not go to McKinney Dodge. They don't care about their customer. You can not do business online with them. You have to be in person. I have someone their looked at a car. They worked the figures up on the car. He had to leave and go get something to eat because he is a diabetic. The car us sold. When he tried to call back. He was told I have someone in front of me. We are from Michigan and the engine blew on our car on the way down to seeing friends in SC. We needed a car quickly to get home. We visited many dealerships in the area. No one treated us as well as Riley Whitmire did. He listened attentively, gave us great information, let us bring our pup in so she wouldn't have to stay in the hot rental car (even gave her water) and help make the right decision. Of the dealers we visited, no one made us quite as welcome. We love the car we bought and you will too. This is the Dealership to visit in Easley where there are so many to choose from. Bought a 2017 jeep renegade and at 4000 miles the oil was empty went in for oil consumption tests and when that was finished I was told that is was normal for that engine to burn a half qt. of oil every 500 miles. filed for a buy back or a trade but was denied by Chrysler and dealership. I have had many new cars and not one has burned oil when new. would not have bought the jeep if I would have known that. I have never heard of such a thing.Will never buy a car from this dealership or from Chrysler again and will make sure I pass this on to everyone. read more

This dealership was the absolute worst to deal with. Their service department is pathetic. Brian in particular was rude and condescending. I will drive completely out of my way to have my dodge serviced. What a disgrace to Easley! Came in under warranty with issues, drove down the road with the same issues after it being "fixed".
