My job is to enjoy a well kept, customer friendly, campground. Been coming here for 10 years...Carla, Pam , Kristian and the camp host before them were truly nice people! Helpful, friendly not overpowering and aggressive like the current camp host. They do not need my business...I do need this camp ground! There are plenty others, and less expensive if you dry camp. I tow a 2025 Flagstaff Classic...it works just as well in a full hookup or dry camping. I'll leave you with this review...you can make up your own mind. Normally I never do yelp reviews...but this experience with the New camp host, I want to say what I thought, leave it here, and move on! End of story!

We came in on 5/18/26 for mule days, I have never seen this place in such a disappointing state,…read moreThe night before we came there was a huge wind storm and I completely understand that during our stay that they will be cleaning it up because of all the trees down but this place looks like nothing has ever been cleaned, we even had a guy mowing around our site,dirt flying everywhere , we couldn't even sit outside, we booked a year ago for a full hook up and they stuck us in a no outlet spot. The host is a very rude person and I will never come back EVER!!!!! We have been coming here for 10 years and some years we visited 2 to 3 times during the year. So disappointing to see how much it's gone down. We loved our camp host Pam who helped us out so much she went out of her way to keep the campgrounds clean and safe and bathrooms were clean, christen who worked there also helped out a lot she helped Pam run the campground!!!! Last year Carla who was there running the campground at the time helped us booked a spot for this year . Now there's a Karen(Robin) person who just wouldn't work with us and she's very rude and has no consideration for her camper's

Get a hotel in Mammoth or Bishop and drive to a hot spring. Any bad review is obviously from some city snob expecting room service and an on-site michelin rated dining option. Yes it's cold in the Sierra, even when it's sweltering during the day it's cold at night. Yes it's remote with zero options for walking distance food. Yes there are bugs when you go outside (sometimes even inside). Yes there is no cell service, gasp, you have to bring a book or games or heaven forbid talk to the people you came with. I can't understand how anyone has it in them to come to the middle of nowhere and then complain about being in the middle of nowhere! Or to complain about the temps when we all have a weather app on our phone. Plan people!! Gather up your best survival skills and bring food, water, warm clothes, bug spray, books, games and a desire to bring it back to the days this place was founded. It's not even that drastic folks. There is running water, flushing toilets, food and gas within a couple miles. There is potable water, all the kitchen and bathroom amenities, extra blankets, heated floors, fans and hot spring tubs!! There is even wifi, satellite dishes and TV's if you are a screen junky. What more can you ask for?! Now that that's out of the way. We really enjoyed our stay at the Conway house. Had absolutely everything we needed and some. Very clean and well decorated. We brought games and books expecting to be totally old school for the length of our stay. But were pleasantly surprised when we were able to stream on our laptop in bed one evening. The tub may be too hot when it's hot outside and too cold in the morning if you don't turn up the stream overnight. Plan accordingly. Test it first and adjust the inlet to your liking. It doesn't take long to cool or heat. Don't dive in like a schmuck without testing the water....sound advice for life! Certain times of the year there are more bugs than others. Close the doors behind you and bring bug spray or citronella candles. Don't be a schmuck and complain about bugs outdoors, that's where they live! Do your part in keeping them outside by closing the doors and checking that the window screens don't have tears. Let someone know if you find a compromised screen. We didn't encounter one rude person. Neither staff nor guest. If you are courteous, quiet and respectful you will most likely receive the same treatment. The only complaint is the bed in the Conway house is old, stiff and loud, could use an upgrade. Don't come here looking for some fancy schmancy lively boom town. It's far from that. It's quant, quiet, rich in historical value and a great place for a little quality time with loved ones. Can be extremely romantic too if you aren't a snob. We will definitely be back! Thank you to the family for sharing this wonderfully rich slice of history with us. Absolutely appalled by some of these reviews.

Cozy little campground about a half hour South of Bishop. Great place for car camping while…read morepassing through, especially on a clear and warm Summer night when the Milky Way is visible. Had a raccoon get into my car through my partially open window while I slept, ate some of my food and made a mess. Don't leave any food out overnight. There are two pit toilets that are well maintained, but no running water so only bottle showers. I think there might be a running well on site, but I used my own water I brought with me. It was $14 a night to stay here.
