She really looked up to her instructor/mentors and enjoyed seeing them work on their own projects. We would have loved to continue but unfortunately we had to move out of South Bay. We know they have a second studio in Santa Monica so we hope to join that one once we can move back to our home in West LA. The tuition prices were a great deal for what we gained from the classes. Thank you for the inspiration and a great program for my budding artist!

My daughter completed her butterfly artwork within the first 20 minutes, after which she was left with nothing else to do. Unsurprisingly, she became bored and restless. Afterward, I received feedback framing this as a focus issue and inability to remain seated, despite the fact that I had already disclosed her speech delay and autism to staff upon arrival. Rather than offering accommodations, enrichment, or flexibility, the studio treated her boredom as a readiness issue and suggested another trial to "evaluate" her. Expecting a six year old to sit still for 90 minutes after finishing the assigned work with no additional engagement is unrealistic. The program appears rigid and not well suited for younger or neurodivergent children.

Rafael has opened her eyes to the beauty in details around her and created a space where she is free to explore different materials and methods. While she has produced creations from impressive macro photography images to mural-sized abstract paintings (no one believes the one hanging in our home was done by an 8 year old), the process of centering herself and tapping into her creative flow is the true gift of this program. She is a shy girl who has found confidence through art. She looks forward to her weekly class and always leaves peaceful and happy. We are truly thankful for this unique place.

It's different than any other art class she has taken. They give guidance, but don't tell the kids what to create. There are so many different styles of art happening all at once from spray painting to photography. Mindfulness is incorporated right in the beginning of class so that the kids can shift gears and more easily tap into their creativity. Love it and HIGHLY recommend this class for kiddos who love art.

I contacted the owners, Terri and Sarah, and they were so incredibly gracious! They invited me over to check out the space. I really like the layout of this art studio because it's divided into different sections/rooms. One room would be where the kids do their sketching, and then another room is where the kids would take their sketching to go paint. The third room is where you can put all the food for your party and they have an awesome patio area that's right next to the food room where parents can also hang out while the kids can sketch and paint for the instructor in the other rooms. There were 19 kids total and it was so nice not to have the parents stand behind their kiddos the entire time to watch them paint because there's no where to go!! All of the parents told me they had NO IDEA this place existed. Because it's on Artesia , which is quite a busy street that people take to get from one place to the next it's really not the kind of place that people stroll around on. Sarah and Terri will work with you on what kind of theme/ sketch to guide the kids. It was an amazing party! Everyone loved it! And my daughter said it was the best birthday ever! Yay! Success! If you're planning a birthday for your little one! BOOK THIS PLACE!!! Cheers!!

My son, aged 5 (who I was worried wouldn't be able to sit still), learnt so much about different artistic methods. SBAD focus on a different topic/theme each day so the children have plenty of time to be creative and really think about what they would like to make. My daughter, aged 7 loved going each day and came home with some stunning pieces of art. She also LOVED the teachers who are not only skilled artistically, but are genuinely kind people who make all the children feel welcome and at home. This is the only camp (ever!) that my son and daughter have attended and been very grumpy that I only booked one week! Needless to say, we will be returning for the Thanksgiving camp!

I purchased a class via glasshouse.ws on 9/12. I received no class gift certificate and zero communication until 9/26 after emailing Glass House Studio twice. Bryan apologized and said he had been very busy, so everything seemed to work out and I received some options on time frame of when I could schedule class for the next month. After a bit of phone/email tag, we connected and on 10/4 we scheduled class for 10/23. I was asked to call and confirm the week before to make sure that time was still good, as Bryan said he had been very busy. No big deal, happy to do that. I called to confirm class on 10/17, and left a voicemail. I hadn't heard back on 10/18 so called again and sent a text asking to confirm class on 10/23. By the night of 10/19 I hadn't heard anything. Feeling a little uncomfortable with the lack of communication, and not wanting to drive to Hermosa Beach to potentially be turned away, I asked for a refund via email. On 10/20 I called and received no response, but texted to ask for a refund and got a reply. I was told that the situation was "ridiculous" and I would receive a refund minus a $50 scheduling fee. One week later on 10/27 I had not received the refund, so I reached out to ask for an update. I received a refund minus $50. The glasshouse.ws website makes no mention of a fee, and I'm not sure why I'm the one losing $50 considering the difficulty of working with this business. Glasshouse.ws outlines their refund policy in detail, even differentiating products vs classes, with no mention of a $50 fee. Verbatim from glasshouse.ws: "There are no refunds provided for products. The "product" are items for sale on website. The "courses"  are classes offered by Glass House Studio.  Class gift receipts require at least two week prior scheduling to redeem.  Items shipped that arrive broken require return of product to exchange for equal value.  The purchaser is responsible for return delivery.  After sixty days of purchase of classes no refunds are accepted.  Classes can sometimes and without notice be shortened and or rescheduled.  We will make every effort to accommodate the loss of value by offering an additional date. All quotes or bids on products require a deposit to begin working.  This deposit is always non refundable."

We landed on a few great activities that kids from ages 2-7 loved. I had a few adults that wishes they could participate. I loved that the kids get a creation to take home. For our event they customized grocery totes. Execution: Julie arrived early and had a very professional set up. I was hosting the event at home so had some worry about color getting everywhere. But her team was diligent about making sure the kids were cleaned up when they were done. My guests loved the activities, I have a friend that is a teacher and she thought the activities were amazing for kids. I would definitely recommend this business to anyone looking for a creative, fun, and crowd pleasing activity for their event.

I got to observe while she was teaching kids ages 5 and up in a weekly art project class. Her patience and creativity was inspiring! Not sure why it took me so long to visit her art studio in Torrance, and I fell in love at first sight!! I had organized an art painting event at church. So I had to learn how to paint some mountains so I could teach some folks at church. I'm no Picasso or Monet, but Teacher Lin taught me some basic concepts of painting and how to use light and airy brushstrokes to paint tall trees. It's been several years since I've even picked up a paintbrush and painted for fun and I had a blast! If I can learn how to paint for fun and let my inner child come out, so can you!! Definitely give this place a try and you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend to all of my students and their family and friends. Private and group lessons are available and please inquire about their summer camps or after school classes. Thank you Teacher Lin for showing me and igniting a passion in me to create and paint and do crafts and combined with a coachable spirit and attitude we can learn new skills and hobbies no matter what age in life! =)
