Agnes led a group of my friends in an alcohol ink workshop and I can't recommend it enough. I like the idea of doing art but honestly my products are usually laughable. This class was totally different. Agnes showed us some different ways to make the designs but she also encouraged us to just play with the colors and to see where that led. We made a few versions on paper (that can then be turned into greeting cards) and then moved on the coasters. I had so much fun during the whole process. Agnes is great at explaining the process and then stepping back to see what you can create. When I brought my art home, my family was so impressed and so was I. 100% recommend taking a workshop from Agnes and Crave Workshops.

My alcohol ink creations

My friends and I participated in an alcohol ink class led by Agnes and I had a great time. Agnes was knowledgeable and very patient while guiding us through the various techniques that we could use. Though I don't consider myself an "artsy" person, I had fun and enjoyed the entire process. I can tell that Agnes loves what she does and she inspires others to express their creativity. Thank you for this experience, Agnes!

I went to a Crave Workshop at Agnes' studio as well as a Crave Workshops retreat in Ojai and they were both so wonderful and so much fun! Agnes is extremely knowledgeable in all art forms, and so kind, generous and friendly. She is a wonderful teacher and she has a true passion for what she does. The retreat I went to was inspiring, peaceful and restorative. Agnes and Sheryl were not only wonderful instructors, but they were an absolute treat and joy to work with! They are so kind, patient and so passionate about what they do. I could not recommend Crave more! It is for beginners, art lovers, and everyone in between! It's more about giving your mind and busy thoughts a rest and allowing yourself to create with your hands. Not only is it so much fun, but you get to take home a one of a kind piece of art that you created!

I love Crave Workshops! We did the Shibori workshop for my bachelorette party and it was the perfect way to spend a day with friends! The space was super cute, there was plenty of space to relax and chat, and the provided lunch was delicious. Agnes was a lovely teacher and everyone had a great time experimenting with their designs while sipping rosé and nibbling date cake. It's the perfect way to be creative and let your friends get to know each other. Best of all, the beautiful blue shibori textiles make a great backdrop for the inevitable bachelorette selfies! I highly recommend it for a very chill and rejuvenating party experience.

I cannot BELIEVE I didn't leave a review for this gem of a place! So my husband actually found this…read moreplace and suggested it for our daughter's 6th birthday. I contacted the owners, Terri and Sarah, and they were so incredibly gracious! They invited me over to check out the space. I really like the layout of this art studio because it's divided into different sections/rooms. One room would be where the kids do their sketching, and then another room is where the kids would take their sketching to go paint. The third room is where you can put all the food for your party and they have an awesome patio area that's right next to the food room where parents can also hang out while the kids can sketch and paint for the instructor in the other rooms. There were 19 kids total and it was so nice not to have the parents stand behind their kiddos the entire time to watch them paint because there's no where to go!! All of the parents told me they had NO IDEA this place existed. Because it's on Artesia , which is quite a busy street that people take to get from one place to the next it's really not the kind of place that people stroll around on. Sarah and Terri will work with you on what kind of theme/ sketch to guide the kids. It was an amazing party! Everyone loved it! And my daughter said it was the best birthday ever! Yay! Success! If you're planning a birthday for your little one! BOOK THIS PLACE!!! Cheers!!

My son, aged 5 (who I was worried wouldn't be able to sit still), learnt so much about different artistic methods. SBAD focus on a different topic/theme each day so the children have plenty of time to be creative and really think about what they would like to make. My daughter, aged 7 loved going each day and came home with some stunning pieces of art. She also LOVED the teachers who are not only skilled artistically, but are genuinely kind people who make all the children feel welcome and at home. This is the only camp (ever!) that my son and daughter have attended and been very grumpy that I only booked one week! Needless to say, we will be returning for the Thanksgiving camp!

She really looked up to her instructor/mentors and enjoyed seeing them work on their own projects. We would have loved to continue but unfortunately we had to move out of South Bay. We know they have a second studio in Santa Monica so we hope to join that one once we can move back to our home in West LA. The tuition prices were a great deal for what we gained from the classes. Thank you for the inspiration and a great program for my budding artist!

He can be difficult and temperamental but she's been incredibly kind and patient with him. He loves her and her class and the fact that he keeps going back every Saturday for an 1.5 hrs away from his video games is testament to this place. Everyone I've spoken to there has been super nice and helpful, even if we'd had to reschedule a class at the last minute. I must note that my son did not love his first teacher and class, like I said, he can be difficult, but the director was incredibly patient and considerate and after listening to our feedback, switched him to a different class and teacher, which was much better suited for him and he's been loving it ever since. This is just to say, even if the first class doesn't work, you might give it another chance and try a different one. Highly recommend this place!
