I booked this excursion through Shore Excursion Group. The reviews were mixed but I took a chance and I'm so glad that I did! Check in was quick. There were only 4 of us on this tour. I honestly don't know why. We had to pay $1USD at the marina gate. The boat is small but looks newer. The glass bottom were 2 rectangular shaped window to the bottom at the middle of the boat. You don't see much as the boat moves. Our guide, Carlos did a great job of safety briefing. He also did a great job of explaining everything. The title of the your is Pelican Rock Snorkeling but we did plenty of sightseeing around the rock. The snorkeling though was the highlight! I'm not a swimmer. I'm terrified of drowning. Carlo was close to me throughout. He brought a life ring along which I held onto for dear life plus I had a life vest on! We saw so many fishes, stingrays, eels and barracuda. He brought food to feed the fish. It was the most amazing thing! Plus, he brought a go pro with him and took pictures of us. He didn't charge us to download it onto our phones! After the snorkeling we went around and visited the Arch. He also gave us sandwiches, chips and drinks. The price we paid for all this was reasonable. The clear boat was a great experience, but make sure you get the clear one and not glass bottom if thats what you want. They won't honor the online prices later. That experience was good, but the city tour wasn't a tour. They just dropped us off at a store they wanted to spend money at or they got credit for. They didn't stay with us and help us navigate the town. We had to ask around to other people to see where we should go eat. I'm thankful my friend spoke Spanish. I feel like a city tour should have a guide. They won't stay with you. They also took us to the beach, but again, they dropped us off. It was the busiest beach and the only time we weren't being hassled by people selling things to us was when we were in the water. We couldn't sit on the beach without being bothered. The car seats they had for us were also dirty and not working properly. Overall, I wish I went with a different company. The guides on the clear boat were very good and thats why I gave 2 stars, for them and the clear boat experience. The city tour and beach time was not great. read more

Our tour guide and driver was Jesus and he was friendly, knowledgeable and funny. He took us all over town and was even flexible to take us back early when the group was pooped and collectively voted to skip the shopping stop which was scheduled for the end. TLDR: Cost for 2 adults Los Cabos Encounters - $208 (food included) Worth it! Todos Santos City Tour - $162 (food not included) Food is an additional $25. Kind of bland. -- Los Cabos Encounters: Best tour hands down with the amazing tour guide Charlie. He arrived at our hotel 10 mins early and was very friendly. Gave us a lot of historical information on the ride to pick up the other hotel guests. First stop was La Playita which is a beach area where you can take some pictures. We spent about 10 mins there while Charlie took our orders for the food. Next stop was the main plaza where we got a little history on pearls and did a raffle to win one at the Velvet Box. My fiancée won one. You have the option to turn it into a piece of wearable jewelry starting at $200. Then we went to the town square where we got to walk around for about 20-30 minutes. There are a lot of boutiques, ice cream, and a lot of other touristy things to do. The Blown glass factory was the highlight for me because of the affordable glass pieces. I bought a cute pink pipe for $25 and with the craftsmanship it would have cost probably double back in NY. We also got a fun little demonstration! The Glass bottom boat tour was cool. My advice is to sit on the captions side because you'll get better views. There were a lot of other tours and boats which made the water look crowded. The sea lions were out and about and the arch is beautiful. Tequila tasting was next! I didn't partake in this because I'm not a big drinker and I was slightly hungover, so my fiancée had my shots. He said they were good. I was shopping in the store since that's where the tasting is located. We ate lunch at the Stoplight and they had the chicken tacos. Probably one of the best meals I had my entire 6 nights here. I'm a very picky eater but the food was cooked and seasoned to perfection. It's worth taking a taxi if you're craving some tacos. Finally we went shopping at Cabo Bargins and with the tour we got 20% off. I bought a lot of stuff because the prices were good. A stone domino set can cost anywhere between $100 - $200. I was able to get it for $44 and it's beautifully made and pink. I was able to find a lot of stuff. Hotel drop off went smoothly and overall it was a good tour and because of that I went online the same day and booked the Todos Santos City Tour. Todos Santos City Tour: Our driver was late and we had to do a transfer. Also a lot of the things stated on the website we did not do. Our guide was Rene who was nice but on the first stop accidentally closed the van door on an elderly lady and her grandson. Not sure if this was supposed to be a joke but my fiancée opened the van door to let them out. Mexican blanket weavery was the first stop. The shop was vibrant and the blankets are made by hand. The items to buy start at $25. You can get these blankets cheaper in the town but I don't think those are hand made. The website states the following activities but we did not do them: Agricole Cooperative & the Regional Sweets Store. Next we went to Todos Los Santos which is a beautiful town where Hotel California is located in. Lots of shops and boutiques as well. They are very over priced so you can try to haggle. I was able to get some stickers for myself. We got a quick history of the mission. Another pearl demonstration (again at the Velvet box) with a raffle (we didn't win this time) and then lunch at the hotel California restaurant La Coronela. We didn't book this tour with a guide from the hotel. I did it online so we couldn't pick a food option. La Coronela had really good guac and flautas but our main dishes lacked flavor. The mole was okay but my enchilada were bland. I say skip it if you can or just get appetizers. The food was not worth the $78 we paid. Finally the end of the tour was at Cabo Bargins where I bought some more stuff. I enjoyed myself since it was the cheapest tour and I ended up buying a lot of stuff. I just wish the transportation time was better and the food had more flavor. If you have to only do one go with the cabo encounters and try to book the earliest appointment to avoid any potential delays with traffic. read more

Booked this tour with our hotel and it did not disappoint. The driver Jose Lopez also know as JLo was fun and very informative. We started with early morning pick up 7:40am and got to the boat by 9am. On the way he explained land marks and different areas of San Lucas. Once on the boat we got to see the Arch and Lovers beach. We came during whale season and got to catch one in the distance. The boat wasn't actually all glass like the brochure promoted but had two little windows at the bottom that let us see some. Still a beautiful tour. We got back and Jose took us to the blow glass factory and we got to see their awesome work. After that we drove a bit in the city and to the tequila tasting. The tequila museum is tiny but the store big and overpriced. we didn't like the tequila or the prices so we left to find some food until our pick up at 3pm. read more

So we had booked this as part of a larger excursion with our resort. We were to take a glass bottom boat to the Arch, do some snorkeling near Pelican Rock, then continue with tequila tasting & shopping. While I am a good swimmer & have snorkeled before, a storm had just come through & we were so concerned our trip would be cancelled. We get to the boat to discover we are the only ones on board since a cruise ship diverted due to the storm. Capt Lupe was very safety conscious & Daniel was great but the star of the show was Shaggy. This guy is a true expert. The water was choppy but his knowledge, corny jokes & attention to detail plus the 1:1 service made my snorkeling adventure perfect. He was patient, aware the rough water was a bit unnerving, took every precaution & went at my pace. I felt 100% safe, informed of each step & I guess pampered is a good word. While the water was not super clear, he found the fish & took a ton of pictures, which he sent to me as part of his fee. Completely uncoordinated and lacking communication. We found the place at 1:20 for our tour at 1:45. We continuously checked in with them and were told that they were waiting for a few more people. They then told us we weren't allowed on the first group because they filled up too much. So we had to wait for another group to get the right number, almost 40 minutes past our reservation. We were also asked for our reservation confirmation almost 10 times, even having it taken from us, but still being asked. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the Party Cruise. We were picked up from our hotel, the transportation was included. Snacks were served (meats, cheese, crackers & fruit). There was an open bar & the bartenders were fast and efficient. The service and attentiveness of the staff was great. If they saw your drink getting low, they would ask to get you a refill. We were able to hang out and enjoy the amazing views, without having to worry about going back & forth to the bar. The music was jazz renditions of popular songs & old school R&B, the vibe was very chill. The sunset and the view of the arch & the shoreline were incredible. We booked our excursion via Viator and I was a satisfied customer. Our tour included The Arch of Cabo San Lucas, snorkel in Chileno Beach w/a box lunch, blown glass demonstration, and a tequila tasting. Our guides Giovanni and Shaggy were awesome and very friendly. They did a great job sharing the history of the area. We also had enough time to visit a few shops to buy souvenirs and food. My group separated from the tour so we could do the beach portion. They had chairs and an umbrella set up for us. It was so relaxing that we just enjoyed the beach and decided not to snorkel. Shaggy was very understanding and available if we changed our mind before our time was up. The box lunch was simple-turkey sandwich and other snacks that are commonly found in Mexico. I would have enjoyed a more authentic Mexican meal but I'm sure it's easier to keep it simple like they did. The tequila tasting was fun and tasty. The glass blown demonstration was amazing! Cabo is known for their water sports like snorkeling, fishing, and scuba diving. Without a tour, you can easily walk the town in a few hours. On one side is their local shops from ceramic goods to t-shirts to pharmaceutical items. If you walk 1/2 mile to the right, you can go where the locals go, and even find a Starbucks and Walmart. We were on the Ruby Princess and chose to go Whale Watching, and booked this with Costco / Shore Excursions. From the dock, we made our way to Esperanza Tour window. We waited for the rest of our group and made our way to our boat. The last time we went whale watching, we were in Alaska. The Alaskan boat was also a big boat, easily a 50-100 passenger boat. This time, we had only 7 in our group, so imagine our surprise when we saw our boat in Cabo! Our tour guide was Cesar, and along with our driver Jesus, and after we put on our life vests, they sailed for about 15 minutes out into the ocean in search for whales. We caught up with a handful of other tour companies, and spotted our first whale. It wasn't much of a sighting, so we took off to other parts of the ocean, only to circle back. About an hour later, we spotted 2 whales chasing a sea lion. Our patience paid off, and our whale watching quest was a success. Heading back to the dock, the driver drove us up close to the Arch. We also pulled up close to Sea Lions sunbathing on rocks. Our tour ended around 11:00 am, so we were out at sea for about 2 hours. Aside from a little boat, they did an excellent job. Cesar was chatty but not too invasive in his conversation. We had a great group, which made it even better. read more

Our family booked a private day trip that includes a Tequila tour, blow glass, pearl tour, and most importantly, the glass bottom boat tour. All of these tours are part of their upsell trying to get you to purchase from the vendor's products at an extreme cost, not to include that we had to pay for the tour itself. The kids were really excited to go on the glass boat tour to see the fishes. Unfortunately, we were not able to go because the water was too rough. I wished Esperanza's Tour would contact me ahead of time to let me know of the possible closure of the docks since it was also closed the day before due to rough water and see if I want to reschedule. Due to the situation, the tour person was nice and offered to take us around. Our kids are young and was not interested in sitting in the shuttle van all day due to the boat tour being cancelled. We cut the trip short and was dropped back at our resort after half of the day (we booked full day). Upon returning to the resort, I had tried to email and contract Esperanza's tour to see if we can even get a partial refund, at least for the glass bottom boat part of the tour. They did not respond to my emails or call me back and it's been 4 weeks since I've been back. I would not recommend this service. They will gladly take your money and not communicate to you. No sense of customer service. Take your money elsewhere if you can. We plan to be back in Cabo but definitely won't be booking Esperanza's Tour. $600 (with tips) tour went down the drain just for them to drive you around to their vendors upselling overpriced products and make you feel awkward for not making a purchase. read more

Did the whale watching tour 12-17-22.Got picked up at our resort and started our adventure. Our guide, Alfaro, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the areas. He took us to the marina and was with us the entire time. Jumped on the boat and headed out. Saw quite a few whales and many small pods of dolphins. After the boat tour, he was waiting for our group right at the dock. We jumped back into the van and headed to the glassblowing factory for a very exciting demonstration. We even purchased a few pieces while there. They are very beautiful. We left there and headed back to town for a tequila tasting. Yet again, another great stop. Tried about 6 different types of tequila, all quite good. We were then given time to ourselves for free time to shop, eat or whatever we wanted to do. Alfaro came back to the J&J Tequila Store for our pick-up and we headed back to out resort. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this tour to anyone. We also did the San Jose tour on 12-18-22. Got picked up at our resort and started our adventure. Our guide, Abelardo, was fantastic. He also was very knowledgeable about these areas. We stopped at the Pearl Boutique and they explained how pearls are made within the clams and how the different colors are formed. They even played a game for someone to win a pearl. It was really cool since I won the pearl. They valued it at about $140. We then walked across the street to the Chocolate Factory and enjoyed sample tasting and purchased chocolate covered espresso beans, very yummy. Our next stop was to the Ivan Guaderrama Art Galley. It is a must stop to see and experience. Also stopped at another gallery with fantastic photo pieces. Had free time after that for shopping. Our guide was with us the entire time until our free time for shopping. Got pick up and headed back to our resort. Yet again, had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this tour to anyone. read more

We did a snorkeling tour with Jorge and Ramon yesterday. After getting scammed by another "tour" company, we were referred here. Though our tour was booked last minute, they were able to accommodate us within a few hours. Pickup was easy and prompt. The drivers from drop off to pick up were personable and friendly. Lunch was provided and the tour came with warm and friendly conversation from both operators (Jorge and Ramon). Ramon was VERY patient with me as a first time snorkeler and weak swimmer giving me personalized instruction and ensuring my safety at all times. We really appreciate our guides and Esperanza's for giving us a memorable experience after the upsetting experience of the timeshare scam. read more

Usually I prefer to scuba dive but since the water was a bit cooler this trip, I took the recommendations of my diving friends and chose to snorkel this time. I am an experienced diver but snorkeling, not so much. I've logged nearly 200 scuba dives but probably less than 30 snorkel trips. However, my family was involved in fishing charters so I have some knowledge of what should be expected. Our captain, Jonathan, was very safety conscious. After making sure everyone had a PFD, he helped make sure they were being worn correctly. During our tour, he took us to the Pacific side, while our other guide, Shaggy, gave us some history of the area and showed us the various rock formations. Having been to Cabo a few dozen times, I was surprised that I actually learned a few things. Snorkeling was great. Visibility was great, although the water was cooler than I'd ever felt it. I swear sometimes the shallows of water in SE Alaska were not much colder! Before we got in the water we saw a lot of fish and learned their names. Once we got past the initial shock of the water temperature we all had a great time. One person in our group was a newbie but their partner had some experience. Regardless both Jonathan and Shaggy remained focused on safety throughout our entire trip. I would never hesitate to us this company again. read more

We booked this tour twice while in Los Cabos and both times it was an excellent choice. The driver tour guide was fantastic. The guide is small about eight to ten people max. Perfect. He picks you up from the hotel and supplies water if needed. There are many tours to chose from. We took the Whale Tour and Todos Santos on two different days. Both were phenomenal trips. We saw many many whales along with various other wildlife and every aspect of the trip both on land and water were explained in great detail. The trip to Todos Santos was about an hour with stops and explanations about the variety of landscapes and culture. We did our own thing in Todos which was great and then returned to the resort at the end of the day exhausted. So if this is your thing, to learn about the culture, it being your first trip to the area and you having little time, this is the way to go. Fantastic period. read more

The boat/snorkeling part was fun. Would have been more fun for me personally if my motion sickness wasn't a problem. But my two friends had an amazing time. We booked for an excursion for a dinner cruise to the Cabo Arch through Esperanza's tour at the Secret Resort and everything was almost perfect until we got off the cruise and looked for the driver to take us back to the hotel (45 mins drive) and he (Jorge) was no where to be found. We spoke to the Secret Resort) concierge tour the next day who booked our excursion and he said that he cannot do anything and that the guy claim he was there looking for us which seem unreal because there was no van left and we waited until everyone has left the pier. We then went to the Secret Resort main concierge lady and she didn't even take responsibility of their mis-half and stated that the hotel is not responsible for the action of who they allow on the property to sale tours which seem to be very odd. We do not want this to happen to anyone else. read more

Esperanza tours Cabo San Lucas City tour was a fun day trip. Unfortunately, it was misleading as it was long commute with too many stops along the way. The biggest disappointment was that the glass bottom boat did not stop at Lovers beach and allow us some beach. The conditions were favorable as we witnessed four boats reach the beach just fine while our boat rushed back to the marina so we could go to a tequila tasting that was very disorganized at Hacienda Tequila. The Glass blowing factory was a nice stop and the shopping time in the marina also made up for a lot the these mishaps. Miguel was our guide and did a good job managing the group and Emilio was our boat driver who was hilarious. read more

We took the whale watching tour and were pleased with every moment of the experience. After a close look at the arches, we headed out and spotted fourteen humpback whales in an hour. We enjoyed the search for and speeding to the spouts and seeing the tails as they breached. Our pilot was always ahead of the other boats in spotting so we even had one breach alongside. read more

The tour was great. We spent enough time at each site. The only drawback for me was we were staying at the Breathless Resort and it is located near everything on this tour. If your resort is near the downtown area... just catch a taxi to the marina entrance. I think it will be much cheaper and you will not have to wait to move as a group. The shopping part of the tour is in the downtown area also. My hubby and I had shopped at the very store a couple of days prior to the tour. So nothing about the store excited me since I already been there. I guess the best part of that was the free tequila tasting. But there are lots of stores/businesses in the area offering free tequila tastings. The driver was very friendly but he started picking up random people along the way. It completely threw me off. He was dropping people off along the way and adding people. It was a lil confusing for a couple of riders but I guess it's the norm for this company. Anyway... I kind of felt cheated out of my money for the fact of how close my resort was to all of the locations on this tour. If we were further out... perhaps I would feel differently. Overall the tour was great and it did provide us a chance to get to Lovers Beach and Divorce Beach. We were afforded 15 min on the Lovers beach side to get off the boat and take pics. read more

We booked the "Fantastic Land and Sea" tour, which is supposed to include a tour around town showing historical sites, the glass blowing factory, and tequila tasting, and then a 2-story boat out on the water which goes past the arch, then stops for an hour of snorkeling, and then includes dinner and drinks. For a total of 8 hours. $110 per person. The morning of the tour we were supposed to be picked up at 10:30 at our hotel, so we got ready and then waited. The tour bus arrived and the driver collected our receipt. He looked at the name of the tour we had booked and then proceeded to pull out the company's brochure, reading what was included. This was our first warning sign - shouldn't he know already what is in this tour? Then he says "Ok, I'm your tour guide. We only have an hour until the boat leaves, so pick 2 things you want to do". We're paying all this money and don't even get to do the whole tour? We picked the glass blowing factory and the tequila tasting. The tequila tasting was great, we learned about the different kinds from the shop owner and got to try a bunch of different samples. The glass blowing factory was also really cool. Another tour came along while we were watching and their tour guide was much more informative. It made me wish we had booked with them. Our tour guide didn't provide information beyond making casual conversation. It was obvious he was just a driver and not a guide. On the way to the marina, we were told that snorkeling was cancelled because of the weather. So we rescheduled for the following day. The next day we get ready again and waste time until the pickup. On the way to the marina the driver gets a call and once again, snorkeling is cancelled. At this point we are really annoyed as we have wasted two mornings and we are leaving in two days. We ended up discussing with our hotel representative options to switch tours and did a tour with another company. The same day that snorkeling was cancelled, we went onto the beach, found a boat guy, and paid $10 each to take a glass bottom boat out to view the sites and then go snorkeling. We took a glass bottom boat tour with a tour of the city. Our boat tour guide was very nice but was definitely just going through the daily motion of the tour. The glass bottom is a small glass rectangle. They take you to one protected area where you can see tuna and a yellow fin fish through the bottom. You get to see the arch but don't get to go to the beach at all. We got to see a few sea lions. We drove through the marina and then went off to the city. Again, the guide was very nice and knowledgeable but you're stuck in a cramped van. We stopped at a church and by the beach on a time limit. Overall the customer service was great but VERY commercial tour. Great option if that is what you like but I didn't feel like I got to absorb any of the cities culture or history on this tour. read more

Totally recommend Esperanza's Tour the guides were amazing especially Carlos, Agustin and a Jose. We had 2 excursions with them. First one was La Paz and Carlos made sure we had an excellent time from begging to end. 11 hours tours went by super fast and well worth it. La Balandra beach is a must! You can swim across and the water is not more than 5 feet deep. Water so clear sand so soft fish all around you. If you book with them make sure you request Carlos. Don't forget to also go to Caborey that was our second excursion and enjoyed it very much. read more

We have booked the "LAND'S END TOUR" tour. From the moment, the driver-tour guide came to us for the last minute trip it was a pleasure. Uvaldo was very nice; he informed us where the cold water is for us. A whole trip told us about the area and history. He answered every question. He makes sure everyone is happy. Miguel and Daniel are the best hosts you could ask for. They drove us through San Jose and Los Cabos. We visited the square in San Jose, a pearl shop, the town square, and Los Cabos. They accommodated all of us and made sure we were happy and had a wonderful time. read more

Amazing!! We booked our excursion with Amstar and couldn't of been happier! The guides Mario and Aurelio were informative and funny! We had an awesome time snorkeling and Mario even helped the kids climb a rock to jump off! They loved it! We have tons of great pictures and memories! If your going this is a place to visit!! Terrible! We thought we were getting a tour of cabo but it was more of just a drive to a crowed parking lot where we were rushed to a boat then proceeded to see lands end (which was beautiful and we got great photos) but the water was really crowded and caused a very rough sea. Then went to glass blowing demo (we thought we were going to actually do it... no, you sit behind glass and watch for about 15 minutes then you're encouraged to buy. Then tequila tasting is in a huge gift shop, again, tourist trap that anyone can walk in and do. Then you have 2 hours to shop and walk around while being asked at every turn if we wanted cocaine or weed. Then you get a long van ride back while dropping off everyone else at multiple resorts. Other than the photos of lands end, i would never consider this again. read more

Booked a tour to Todos Santos. The tour guide, Charlie, was the best part of the tour. He was very knowledgable, giving history and stories the entire trip, but he also kept things light and humorous. We happened to be his first customers after the COVID shutdown and he took his responsibilities to keep us safe very seriously, wearing his face shield or mask at all time, and offering us hand sanitizer and wipes after every stop. I highly recommend Esperanza's. And get Charlie, if you can. read more

I would not recommend this tour. We were scheduled for the "Fantastic Land and Sea Tour" but it was far from fantastic. The shuttle picked us up, on time, in the morning and we headed down to the glass blowing factory. We were in there for about 20 minutes until we hit the road again. After 15 minutes of driving, we got dropped off at the boat where we were SUPPOSED to snorkel and see The Arch. Once we get on the boat, they make us pay $8 for who knows what. We finally sit down and have some drinks while waiting for everyone to get on board. After 20 minutes of waiting, some employee announces that we cannot go snorkeling because of the weather conditions. Shortly after talking with this employee ourselves, we figure out that we can see The Arch if we want to stay on this boat for 3 hours sailing on choppy waters. When we heard this, we said forget it and got off the boat and got our $8 back. At this time it was 10:30 am and the Esperanza Tour Shuttle wasn't going to come back until 1:30 pm. In this case, we took a taxi back to our hotel and demanded a refund. Thankfully, we got our money back. Its unfortunate because my family and I were so excited for this fun-filled day, like it was advertised. However, it is safe to say we will never book with this company again to reschedule because of our horrific experience. read more

Hubby and I took the first snorkelling tour of the morning and we had the boat and guide all to ourselves!! Pilot was Jonathan, guide was the AMAZING Orullio (sp?). They took us on the usual tour around the point to the Arch and past Lover's Beach and Lover's Cave ("where two go in and three come out! - HAHAHA!!). Got our snorkel and fins on and over we went. Water was so clear and Orullio had bags of food so we had a school of fish follow us everywhere we went - we even got to hand feed a bunch of them. He caught a puffer fish and let us pet it before letting it to go puff up and then catch a picture of us with it. Orullio also blew bubbles which we swam through and had more great pictures and video taken. He was very personal and very knowledgeable, pointing out all the different types of fish - even octopus and eels!! After our snorkelling we were landed at Lovers Beach to eat lunch and soak up the sun before heading back. I would absolutely recommend this company; be sure to ask for Orullio!! read more

Extremely bad ! Poor service!! We were promised towels, great pictures& service, but then we ended up with a Terrible experience! Very poor service! They made sure to cater to locals and ignore tourists. Showed up an hour late to our hotel for pickup, did not take credit cards, bag lunches were warm tuna sandwiches (who doesn't want diarrhea on vacation?), boat driver teased person in our party relentlessly for not being comfortable in the water ("oh let's drive off without him"), also incredibly inappropriate (talked about strip clubs nonstop), brochure said experience was 5 hours, hardly took 3. I would not suggest giving this company your money. Pathetic for the price we paid ! read more
