While the sprinkler installation itself was completed properly, he forgot to turn on the controller afterward, which caused about one-third of my lawn to turn gray. He also significantly misquoted the pavement project, with the revised estimate increasing by approximately 200% to 300%. When I later asked for an updated quote and a timeline for completing the work, he became unresponsive to messages. On the few occasions when he answered my calls, he provided vague ETAs and ultimately never showed up. Update 07/03/2026: Ok, this has become even more ridiculous. Please see the new photos uploaded on July 3. As you can see, I uploaded the receipt from him showing that he received $2,000, but in reality, I have paid him more than $2,230 in total. I'm not sure whether there are any tax-related implications here, but the bigger issue is that after damaging my backyard and failing to install the new pavement, he still sent me a bill today that includes the pavement cost he wants me to pay. This has been extremely unprofessional. I now need to find a new contractor to fix my backyard. Based on my experience, I would recommend avoiding working with him if possible.

Basic weed pulling and weed whacking. This year Yovani suggested I add 1-2 more people to the crew. I went ahead and took his advice and added 1 more person. 5 people, 4 hours, $50.00 per hour, $1,000.00 Total. When Yovani was done I went to inspect the usual work. Only 45% complete. When confronted with why the routine job was not completed as usual especially with 1 extra crew member his response was "it's a lot of work." I was clearly scammed.
