I wanted to make sure he understood the job so we had a talk over the phone. Everything went well and time was set up at 8:30am-9am. Of course, it was too good to be true. Unresponsive and irresponsible: Surely 9am came and gone no signs of technician. I waited, texted, and Cesar finally picked up the phone. He said it's raining and made up an excuse that they thought the rain will be on next day. I told him that it's weird because the forecast all along predicted rain on today. Even they couldn't come, they should let me know. Instead, they had me waited. Dishonest pricing: A technician came 30mins after the rescheduled time. He came and said he only does estimation and he can't do the job until later. Of course the price will be $1800+ (see attachment). A thousand dollars more than before. Both my wife and I had to take the time off to accommodate the appointments that they didn't come. Technician came unprepared. They raised their price at the door knowing we needed it to be done in a timely manner. Then they blamed that the information I gave wasn't accurate.

Anyway, he was nice, but spent three hours setting up the system, only for the keypad to start beeping randomly at 2 a.m. for no reason. The app is supposed to let you control everything, but it's like navigating a maze with pop-up ads. One button arms the system, another disarms it, and a third just... opens the help menu? I'm still not sure. The cameras are decent, I guess, but I keep getting notifications about "motion detected" when it's just my neighbor's dog or, once, a plastic bag blowing by. I called support about it, and they were super polite, but the fix they suggested--rebooting the router--did nothing except make my Wi-Fi drop. Also, the billing is a mystery. My first month was $49.99, then it jumped to $62.17 with no explanation. I asked for a breakdown, and they sent me a 12-page PDF that might as well be in ancient hieroglyphs. It's not all bad--the door sensors work, mostly. But do I feel safer? Hard to say when I'm up at night decoding error codes like I'm in a spy movie. I'd recommend SecureSafe if you're okay with a side of confusion with your home protection.
