The teacher was about 13 people away to the side - I couldn't see what she was doing as the other painters blocked my view (and I blocked the view of the painters sitting downstream from me) . They need to have the teacher in front or at least have them on a pedestal- maybe have tvs around the room where you can follow what they are doing. They went too fast and it was a panicked blur at times. It was loud - not as enjoyable as I had hoped. I have been to other parties priced the same with the teacher in front of you and about 1/4 as many student painters. Much chiller and a more relaxing vibe. Not sure if I will go here again.

Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The new location within the Bell Works Chicagoland campus is a thing of beauty. The design aesthetic is what you would expect from a high end brand like GNO and the best part is that they make it feel inviting and like home. Just like at home, we kicked off the evening in the kitchen area greeting friends and ordering drinks. I really liked that we had the option to cater food through a GNO catering partner or coordinate a pot luck amongst our friends. The hosts were amazing and it was an honor to have the man, the myth, the legend Alex live and in person with us! I am not the type to break out a board game for fun, but my friends and I agreed that GNO is on a different level and has a game to meet the knowledge, interest and physical ability of every player. 2 hours of fun, games and laughs flew by and each of our friends who attended for the first time were raving about their evening and how they were planning to tell their friends, family, and employers about GNO. It is obvious that the owners (Brandon & Aaron) have dedicated their time and talent to curating a unique experience that brings families and friends together. If you are interested in a game night but don't want to go through the hassle of hosting, GNO to the rescue!

He explained how he was lost reading my post because the actual owners (him & his wife) were not at the Tree house during this situation and did explain that they went back and viewed the cameras and realized it was one of their staff members who is no longer with them. I explained for someone to call and have these "hard conversations" truly shows the integrity who they are as a person and what they stand for. So, with that being said, they listened and they care. We had the 2 kiddos in tow for a Wednesday and learned that arcade games at Bowlero are 1/2 priced…read moreon Wednesdays.  Yaay for the lucky kiddos!  Anyway, I also found that the various Bowlero's in our vicinity have different hours on Wednesday, I guess due to local business demand.  This Bowlero opens 1pm-11pm on Wednesday, whereas the Bowlero Mount Prospect opens 2pm-11pm and the Bowlero Niles opens 4:30pm-11pm.  So we trekked up here as the earlier the better it was for us on this hot summer day.   Brian and Chris were the fine and helpful pair of staffers on duty and Brian explained the arcade workings for us as we've never been in a Bowlero (though the kiddos have) - checking the kiddo's card balances, the value of the games, showing us the remaining balance display, unjamming a machine when needed, etc. We had the arcade area to ourselves and the kiddos had an energetic blast for about an hour.  We loaded on $10 for each of them and they also each had about $8 on their existing cards.   So it seemed they spent about $36 in an hour and that seemed a bit expensive to me, especially for a 1/2 price Wednesday.  They did earn some trinklets with their ticket winnings though and these are dispensed from a self-service Prize Hub machine.  For what it's worth I remember getting an hour's worth of arcade entertainment for the 2 at Chuck 'N Cheese for $20, and we now have a basis for comparison anyway.  One of the kiddos said the arcade here is bigger than the one at Niles, and we also heard separately that the Buffalo Grove arcade is quite large also. As far as bowling here goes, they have 40 nice and shiny lanes. Weekday games are $6 and weekend games are $10.  Shoe rental is $6.  I don't see us bowling at a Bowlero but it could fit your family's interest or needs.  I'll go with 3 stars as Bowlero seemed about an average value from this experience, but the kiddos had a grand time in any event.

I called and they said come in and we will take care of it. When we got there and asked about it the cashier just said "no" and couldn't care less when I said I had called ahead. Then when trying to use the kiosk to buy arcade credits I couldn't get the machine to work, despite a worker walking by several times seeing me trying to use the machine, when I finally flagged him down he was like "oh yeah it's not working come to the desk." Ok maybe put a sign on the machine or when you see me trying to use it let me know!? Really poor customer service!

I liked many things about this spot like the parking wasn't too difficult, the attendant was very nice and helpful, and the overall quality of the room I thought was good. There was a considerably amount of red herrings here that prevented the room from being solved too quickly - definitely promoting better communication and teamwork, and great attention to detail in order to successfully solve the rooms. I liked the wide variety of different puzzles available and the vastly different feel to each room. Overall, fun experience and although not cheap -- I feel the effort put into designing the room justifies the cost. I would do more experiences here again in the future with more friends.

This evening was my fiancé and I's first dance lesson with Cinnamon. We decided to take some dance…read morelessons for our upcoming wedding as both of us have two left feet. I was nervous going into the first lesson because neither of us have any experience, but Cinnamon made both of us SO comfortable. Not only did we learn some good moves (and easily learned them too due to Cinnamon's amazing teaching style), but Cinnamon also helped us choose our first dance song (something that I have actively been trying to choose for the last 2 years (not exaggerating here)). He asked us a couple questions, read our energy, and played a song...right then and there, I knew it was the one we had to go with! But most importantly, Cinnamon made it FUN. My fiancé and I left our first lesson feeling more connected than ever and so excited for our wedding. I can't wait for our next lesson!
