Convenience charge on top of tip
    L O.

The experience is always great, but what is the "Convenience Charge" of .50 for? I was at the location near the lake. Is it for credit card usage? If so, I know that it's legal, but I think you should call it exactly what it is for transparency reasons. Additionally, you can only pass on up to 4% of the total amount (federal law). My total smoothie amount was $8, which means .50 is 6.25% of that amount. That's patently illegal. Just letting you know. Here's the law: "Businesses in Wisconsin can apply surcharges as long as they comply with disclosure requirements and any applicable rules from credit card companies. " Also: "While federal law permits surcharges up to 4%, MSPs cannot automatically pass the full processing fee to clients. " Lastly: "Surcharge fees are strictly limited to credit card transactions only. Even if a client wishes to run a signature debit transaction, where a debit card is processed as a credit transaction, you are still not allowed to implement a surcharge. Surcharges are also not applicable to prepaid cards." Thank you.

Standard coffee place within walking distance of several hotels in the area. The space inside is quite spacious and also has a really nice second floor seating area. It was a great day so quite a few people were also sitting outside. I ordered a medium matcha latte and a blueberry muffin, which came out to around $8. The matcha was quite creamy and heavy on the milk, not too sweet. The blueberry muffin was quite solid and filling. If you need a drink this place is solid!

Enjoying a delicious Cold Brew sitting outside on a comfy armchair.

The energy scone was delicious as was the cold brew coffee. I wanted something for lunch after a hike but found this place. There did not seem too much for lunch but the scone worked as a good lunch substitute . They have off street parking and outdoor seating. Comfortable and relaxing. Server was very pleasant.

amazing vibes, very friendly staff! i got an iced chai and it was very good! tastes more like original chai tea and very smooth. my friend got a cold brew with vanilla and cream. cold brew is definitely strong like most cold brews but has a very nice flavor balance

Coffee snob here. I really like Coffee Mill. Coffee is well-brewed (not overly brewed like you'd get at Starbucks) - rich flavor, good texture and body, great aroma. It's also great to see that all of their products are local (I think the furthest anything travels to get here is Milwaukee). It would be easy for a coffee shop to try too hard to impress the summer crowd, but the Mill is low-key and mellow. The staff are all well-informed and friendly, and it's a comfortable place to sit and actually enjoy a cup of coffee instead of rushing out the door. Highly recommended!

Very cute coffee shop that is not part of a large corporation. It's cute inside and out, they made me a competent espresso and parking is easy out front. Friendly attentive staff, this is what I want in a cafe. I was recommended to this place by locals, and it does seem to be an area favorite.

Great coffee and decent breakfast sandwich. I would come back for more. Too bad they don't have a very wide selection for breakfast.

The honey bee latte is awesome and they have some not-so-common flavors to put in your coffee like lavender.

My husband and I were staying at a nearby hotel and needed a gluten free lighter option before a spa day. I'm so glad we found Green Grocer. It was packed. Not an empty seat in the place around 12:00 on a Saturday. We did have to circle around for parking as well, but only had to walk a short distance from across the street. I got a drip coffee with blueberry waffle flavor and cream. The coffee was very good. I believe they use Collectivo. The gluten free raspberry financier was even better. It was similar to a Madeline cookie, but larger and raspberry in the center. I would drive back just for the pastry. We also got sandwiches from the deli and two fountain drinks from bar. I loved my build your own turkey and Swiss with sprouts, lettuce, tomato's pickle, onion, mayo, mustard, and sub sauce on gluten free bread. The bar service was great too. I definitely recommend Green Grocer for sandwiches and coffee, especially if you want to avoid the craziness of downtown Lake Geneva. Seems like the locals know this place is fantastic as it was non stop busy.

At some point, they expanded the restaurant so it can easily handle over 150 people and I'm guessing anywhere is up to 180 people. Was very clean inside and appears that it had been painted not too long ago. Our waitress was Alaina. Hope I spelled, her name right. Very good waitress and made sure she took care of us. I had a few questions about the food on the menu and she had all the answers. I got what I think was called the sweet potato brisket skillet. My girlfriend had just eggs, toast, hashbrowns with bacon. She said the coffee was OK. She's a little fussy with the coffee so we've had a few places where it's been great. She says it's drinkable and she liked it. Good enough! They give you generous portions of food. The bacon was cooked crispy the way she likes it and the eggs were done perfectly. Hashbrowns taste fresh and good and never cooked perfectly. They under utilize salt, but there's probably a good reason for it and that's why you have salt at the table. The skillet I had, however, was real good! Generous portions of brisket and the sweet potatoes were cut strips and grilled and tender. It had chunks of green peppers which were grilled and you could tell they were fresh. Fresh grilled onions and chunks of tomatoes inside. It was loaded with cheese too. My eggs were done to perfection and I had the sourdough toast. Their sourdough toast is Home made style bread. I don't believe it's baked in the restaurant, but it was very good. Once again, very generous portions. The place is huge inside with plenty of elbow room. As for the price, their prices were average and in line with other places we've eaten breakfast in the area. The whole staff that is there greeted you at one point or the other. Very friendly staff. They are also open for lunch and dinner. The place is busy for breakfast so I'm guessing that they're Friday night fish fries probably pretty packed. I highly recommend Sammy's on the square.
