Lisburn Road is a wash with coffee shops, I would easily say there six in a one mile stretch. Espresso Elements is right at the top end of the Lisburn Road and only a stones throw from Starbucks, so why would you go here and not Starbucks, where you know what you're getting? Well here's why; Espresso Elements is warm friendly and really well presented. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable. I was asked by the lovely waitress to grab a seat and before I even had a chance to get my laptop out another cheerful waiter came over to tell me the Wifi code ('coffeeismagic' by the way). The Wifi was rapid too! I got a filter Coffee for £1.95 - it was strong but not too over bearing. Espresso Elements is very popular with the ladies of Lisburn Road but this makes for a lovely atmosphere, very relaxed and laid back. It's not just coffee they sell, they have a fruit basket as you walk in the door and they also have pastries and sandwiches on offer. I noticed that they also offer outside catering - could be a good place to contact for an outside event. I really enjoyed my morning at Espresso Element - makes a nice change from a chain store.

The entrance is small, and across from some sort of loading bay or something. But worth stopping in. Once inside, the space opens up and is very welcoming. I ordered the green eggs on toast, and it was delicious (the sausages are an add-on, and in hindsight was unnecessary). The poach was perfect, and that green sauce is divine! But... I hope you brought some dental floss or a toothpick, because you will surely have embarrassing green bits stuck in your teeth otherwise. Top quality brekkie! The OJ tasted fresh with bits of pulp in it (although they do pour it from a jug in their fridge) and the latte is of a good quality. Not busy on a Monday morning. Staff friendly, and chatty with some of the delivery people, who I assume they see on a regular basis. If in Belfast for an extended period of time, would not hesitate to dine here again.

There was a great selection of savory and sweet. I had poached eggs on sourdough. My friend had the French Toast, and it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. There was fuzzy stuff on the French toast that looked like asbestos or fiberglass. It was not, it was soft and sweet, but it sure looked odd. The poached eggs on sourdough with pesto was amazing. I also got a side of bacon. It was perfection. There is a cool little shop too. If I am back in Belfast, I'll be sure to stop back.
