It has the same address and suite where I had my orthodontic appointments. My orthodontist was Dr. Banack. A photo of him appears in this listing. However, the business is called Davis Orthodontics these days, so I hope Yelp will accept the name and URL changes. Dr Banack worked at two different locations. This one on the southwest corner of Coxwell and Danforth was for most appointments, from attending consultations, to getting your braces installed with regular monthly appointments. I only visited the Cedarbrae Mall location to get moulds and x-rays done on my teeth. I went there with my mom. I just remember the commute being long. If you lived in the Beaches as a kid and you needed your teeth straightened, Dr Banack was the area's orthodontist. He was competent, but he wasn't exactly the most friendly person with kids. I remember my first meeting with Dr Banack. My parents came with me. He looked at my teeth and said that I didn't brush them. I had eaten eggs for breakfast. Back then, my parents taught me to brush my teeth before a meal -- not after. I just remember him telling my parents that I had a lot of plaque on my teeth. It wasn't the best first meeting. I do have straight teeth and my dental hygienist today said that I keep my teeth clean. Maybe Dr Banack would be proud that I don't have a ton of plaque on my teeth as an adult. I would think that he has since retired. I don't see him listed on the Davis Orthodontics site. I wore braces for three years. I had soft foods after each tightening session. I have nice teeth. It's thanks to Dr Banack and his staff. I hope that the other orthodontists at this clinic aren't as harsh on kids as he was. (478)

Dr. Noble strongly advice that I do not pursue orthodontic treatment as it would cause more harm than good given my case. I understand that this is his professional opinion. However, he went on and say that is should just "embrace my culture" since it is in my "genes". By saying this, he effectively saying that: pursuing a better smile and/or a good smile is an aberration in my culture. Along with this remark is his condescending tone and air of superiority.

Dr Noble and his staff were not only helpful, but incredibly friendly and accommodating with my unpredictable schedule. Each member of the team is highly skilled and enthusiastic. And, Dr. Noble personally greets each and every patient (and double checks things, sometimes placing things on himself). I really want to emphasize the friendly atmosphere here as well, because it really does make a difference (especially for kids and teens who might not enjoy getting their teeth assessed or adults who are in a rush or stressed). I've witnessed at least on one occasion a patient leave the office in a better mood than they arrived. The marker of a great healthcare professional is someone that makes patients feel comfortable, while also leading and managing their team effectively -- happy staff means happy patients! :) . Patients from all corners of the city come here, and are treated with respect and kindness. As well, though it isn't advertised, Dr Noble volunteers a big chunk of his time with vulnerable children through organizations like the Children's Aid Society. Very few dentists or orthodontists would do that, especially just out of good will (i.e. not for publicity). It's obvious why the reviews are excellent for Orthodontics at Don Mills, and why the office is always so busy (because this is really the place to go in the GTA). It goes without saying that my teeth look great and I have permanent retainers now to prevent the shift from happening again. The only downside is once your treatment is complete, you can't go back for the great experience at Orthodontics at Don Mills !! :)

I called a…read morefew places and they quoted me for minimum $65 consultation fee and this clinic did not charge consultation. My retainer broke and I was looking for a replacement. I went in the following day with my retainer and ready to get a new retainer and Dr. Carcao offered to fix it for me and recommended that my original retainer will be better for now because I am used to it. Dr Carcao fixed my retainer on the spot and provided very friendly service. I asked him how much it would cost and he said don't worry about it. He is very nice and honest and I would recommend him to my friends and family.

In 2014, I went to Dr. Jeremy Kurtz after a serious childhood accident left my front teeth damaged. I was a very young woman, deeply insecure about my smile, and I placed complete trust in his professional advice. He presented me with two treatment options: crowns or a bridge. At the time, I didn't understand the long-term aesthetic or functional differences between them. I simply wanted a healthy, natural-looking smile and trusted his recommendation. Looking back, I don't feel I was given enough information to make a truly informed decision about a treatment that would permanently change my smile. Because I couldn't afford the treatment immediately, I spent months saving. During that time, my remaining front teeth were extracted and I wore a bulky temporary plastic appliance for approximately six months while waiting for my bridge. I trusted that this was the appropriate course of treatment because I relied entirely on my dentist's judgment. Looking back, I wish I had been informed that I should wait until my bridge placement is ready before agreeing to the extractions. When the bridge was finally placed, I was initially happy because it looked better than what I had before. But over time, I realized my relief had blinded me to the quality of the work. The bridge protruded noticeably, left me with a significant open bite, and lacked harmony and symmetry with my lower teeth. Instead of restoring my confidence, it left me hiding my smile for another decade. My greatest disappointment isn't just the appearance of the bridge. It's that I don't feel I was properly educated about my options, the limitations of the treatment I was choosing, or what the final result would realistically look like. As a young and vulnerable patient, I trusted that my dentist was giving me the best possible solution. I now believe I deserved much better guidance before committing to an irreversible treatment. I am currently undergoing a complete smile restoration elsewhere, and seeing what modern dentistry can achieve has made me realize just how much I settled for because I trusted the wrong person. This review isn't written out of spite. It's written to encourage anyone considering major restorative or cosmetic dental work to seek multiple opinions, ask detailed questions, and fully understand every option before making an irreversible decision. More importantly, it's to discourage anyone from ever seeking this type of treatment from Dr. Kurtz. Unsurprisingly, after completing my treatment, he transitioned to invisalign only.
