She not only did her job to the fullest, but she also took the time to truly listen to me--a daughter living out of town, feeling helpless and desperate to get her father closer to family as his health was declining. Her compassion, patience, and dedication meant more to me than words can express. My overall experience with this facility was phenomenal. From the doctors, to the social workers, to the chaplain, and later Mike with hospice--every single person we encountered showed genuine care, professionalism, and heart. The entire team and staff are absolutely PHENOMENAL. Thank you for giving my father the dignity, attention, and care he deserved until his very last day. I will forever be grateful for the consistent communication, kindness, and support you provided during one of the most difficult times of my life. I could never thank you enough. Whenever a loved one is in need of nursing home care, it is a stressful event not only for the person but for the family members who have heard all sorts of horror stories about such situations. This is especially true when family, such as us, are at a great distance, and when bouts of confusion arise in the person under care that make it difficult for us to truly determine whether their care is of the highest quality. We are writing this review to share our boundless joy at the experience Bianca had when she travelled to NYC to visit her cousin at St. Vincent De Paul Home. What an amazing, caring, loving, clean, happy, and professional environment she found!!! The staff truly follows Christian values in patience, care, and abundant love for the residents. Nurses, Aides, Social Workers, Recreation Staff, Food Service, Housekeeping, and Administrators truly have a team spirit, joined together to focus on the quality of life of residents who are in their care. Whether you live close to New York, or far away as we do, you can be sure that your loved one will be cared for with the dignity and grace and medical attention that you would want for yourself. God Bless those who provide such a loving environment at St. Vincent De Paul Nursing Home!
