Amongst all the quotes, they were in the median price range, but they had the largest portfolio of positive photos and reviews, which is why I selected them for this service. Scheduling was fairly simple, and the service went well as scheduled. However, due to the invasive nature of the tree, it started to sprout back. Upon notifying Arbor Care, they were quick to send someone to come back and address the tree again at no additional charge. There have been no issues since. I appreciate their helpfulness when a re-service was required. I have already referred them to others through word of mouth, but wanted to do so on this platform as well because they deserve the praise for a job well done. Thank you!

Prior to the appointment, Andy the owner answered all my questions by text, email, and phone while arranging my appointment as I was having some trouble with the online booking since I had some out of the ordinary scheduling difficulties on my end and needed to talk things out. Afterwards, Dan did a walk around my property and we discussed what might be done on a return visit and when best to trim what. He knows his stuff and cares about doing right by the trees and wouldn't be one of those choppers and whackers that leaves your trees with mutilated limbs. He has been studying for credentialing through the International Society of Arboriculture so he can learn even more. Good men=good company! We began by ripping out existing plants, pavers, brown gravel, and artificial turf for both a putting green and a general use area. We started by building a pool (a cheap plug for Dolphin Pools who did an amazing job). After the pool was completed, the second half of the project was ready to begin. This is where Colorworks stepped up to the plate. I could not begin this without mentioning one of the owners, "Jon Hammel". Colorworks Landscape Design, Inc. received rave reviews on Google and Yelp, so we reached out and were promptly scheduled for a complimentary estimate. Upon Jon's arrival, I could sense his excitement and creativity as he envisioned transforming our dream backyard into the upgraded space we desired. Although we had a plan in place, Jon skillfully incorporated his unique ideas, resulting in a comprehensive rendering of the project. We were immediately convinced that Colorworks was the ideal choice for our project. What truly set Jon apart was his unwavering honesty and thoughtful approach to refining our existing plan, ensuring that it reached its full potential. I want to clearly state that there are many stages to such a massive project. There are always going to be delays, and we had a few. Additional parts needed to be ordered, and of course, the weather did not always agree (lots of rain). Since our backyard is not the largest, every inch of the project required attention, and Jon fully comprehended that. The project included 3 large retaining walls, 164 Sq ft. of pearlescent travertine, 18 Indian laurel ficus trees with 6 tons of topsoil, 450 sq ft. of Daytona 80 0z turf, 4 stoned columns on a pergola, a wood accent backdrop for pots, and white rocks. This also included taping into existing irrigation drip, electrical lines, and reusing leftover pavers in other areas. Jon (along with our ideas) was the brains of the project, but Cesar Aldama is the contractor who brought it all together. Cesar, along with Ginato, is an excellent team. They showed up on time and worked tirelessly each day, and consistently cleaned up before they left. They always treated our home with respect, and we couldn't help but notice. Cesar is an expert in construction projects and possesses extensive knowledge in the field. My wife, being meticulous and OCD, wanted perfection in the job. Cesar meticulously coordinated with us on every aspect of the project, providing valuable advice on what could and couldn't be done. He is truly an artist, and we couldn't thank him and Ginato enough. The straightforward truth is that Colorworks fulfilled their promise! I can't forget to mention other members of the team that did amazing work: Jeff (owner), Mark, Manny (Turf installer and his awesome crew). Colorworks Landscape Design, Inc. is an exceptional choice, and we wholeheartedly recommend it. It's one of the easiest 5-star reviews I've ever written. Gary and Terra!

Their fee for the service was extremely fair and reasonable. From the very beginning, their team was professional, punctual, and efficient. They took the time to assess the situation, explain their plan of action, and ensure I was comfortable with everything before starting. I was happy with the price we were quoted for all of this work. From the initial contact we made with them to get an estimate to their final clean up, it has been nothing but a positive experience. We had a huge pine tree taken down that had dangerously large limbs hanging over our roof. Their guy that worked from a bucket at the end of a boom was so careful to make sure nothing would do any roof damage as he slowly brought the high limbs down. The ash tree they removed had a lot of exposed roots. Before grinding the two stumps and removing all the exposed roots, they identified where all the sprinkler heads were located and made sure that no repair of sprinkler heads and lines would be necessary. Our third tree (an Indian Laurel) just needed a good trim and it now looks so much better. Here are six words that I will use to describe Essence AZ: Professional, Friendly, Efficient, Knowledgeable, Careful and Fun. We will definitely use them again. read more

Bryan and his team were great! They were punctual, came on time, and finished the job in a quick and efficient manner. I was amazed how easily he and his wife lifted my heavy furnitures. They were careful not to damage the floors or hit the chandelier in the process even without me asking them, so I appreciate how considerate they are. I also hired him to take care of the crazy weeds in our backyard. He cut and sprayed the weeds with chemicals. We had to tree pLm tree trimmed right away. We were leavin in a couple days for vacation and seed pods already erupting. I found these people online a gave a call. Explained the situation and that I'm on a tight budget. So she agreed right away and also said when it would be scheduled. It was the same day we were leaving. She said if we miss each other she'd send pictures. So I received pictures and a choice of payment methods. making this a very pleasant experience. also told neighbor next door and she trimmed trees at same time Needless to say I'm very impressed by the whole process. Bryan and his crew were absolutely amazing! Bryan had the most reasonable priced ( I got 3 quotes) They all were polite, paid attention to detail, and hard workers! I unknowingly had a beehive in a tree so they had to come back the next morning to finish removing the tree, they showed up when they said they would and they got the tree down so quick. Harris & Sons told me the stump did not need to be removed and assured me that poisoning it would kill both the stump and the roots. Trusting their professional expertise, I followed their recommendation. When my landscaping project began, my landscapers immediately told me they could not properly install artificial turf over the stump because as it rotted, the ground would settle and create uneven spots in the new lawn. They also discovered the stump was still alive and that roots had already begun spreading into another area of my yard. I called Harris & Sons, and they returned on June 27 to retreat the stump and roots. They told me to wait one week before continuing with landscaping. When my landscapers resumed work on July 3rd they determined the stump still had to be removed before they could complete the project correctly. I had no choice but to pay an additional $675 to have the stump removed so the project could move forward. When I contacted Harris & Sons about reimbursing me for the additional expense, they refused. Instead of acknowledging my concerns or trying to find a reasonable solution, they sent me a Google article claiming stump removal is not always necessary. That completely missed the point. From the very beginning, I told them my landscaping company wanted the stump removed. They advised me otherwise, and I trusted their professional recommendation. In the end, the stump still had to be removed, and I was left paying two companies for the same job. As a widow and single mom, I rely on professionals to give honest, informed advice. I trusted their recommendation, and it ended up costing me more money. What disappointed me most was not just the extra expense but the complete lack of accountability. Rather than listening to a legitimate customer concern and trying to make things right, they dismissed my experience and refused to take any responsibility. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Harris & Sons. If a customer clearly tells them what is needed, I would expect them to either perform the requested work or clearly explain why they will not, rather than assuring the customer it is unnecessary only to have them pay someone else to do it later.
