I recently had my French Doors (leading to my 2nd-floor deck) replaced with Sliding Doors. The…read moreinstallation was completed by Finish Carpenter. The job was a challenge because they had to hoist the three-door, assembled frame up to my second-floor deck. They safely prepared all the decking in drop cloths to prevent any damage to the frame or the deck. They expertly removed the old frame and installed the new one with flashing tape and a door pan to avoid any moisture or mold. They filled in the door gaps with insulation foam, trim, and caulking, and painted all the trim nail holes. They are extremely neat, organized, and very efficient. They cleaned up the entire area and vacuumed. They disposed of all the old material, and I couldn't be more satisfied with their expert craftsmanship. I highly recommend Zoabdile, the owner of Finish Carpenter, for any carpentry project, including windows, doors, etc. He is very thorough, knowledgeable, and patient, explaining all the minute details of the project, and has all the latest tools to make the project a professional one. We converted two rooms plus a hallway into a master suite as well as split two large upstairs rooms into three. We had structural concerns and lots of logistics to work out and I wouldn't trust anyone other than Mike to draw up the plans to make sure everything is safe and up to code. Al oversaw the projects and was in constant communication with us and regularly was on site to make sure everything was going smoothly. If anything wasn't 100% correct or what we had discussed, he would make sure it was remedied. Big shout out to Franz who even showed up to work the day after his wife had a baby! The M3 team worked late days and on weekends (with our consent) to meet their deadlines, even when the county held them up with permitting issues they still worked hard to finish within our timeframe. We even made major changes to our plans after construction had begun and they were able to pivot and help us get more square footage for the upstairs bedrooms. There were also numerous curveballs that they handled with ease (ya never know what you'll get with an old house). This was our first time doing any sort of large project and the team at M3 gave us plenty of guidance and support to make sure the finished product exceeded our expectations. The painters were friendly and didn't need any oversight, were friendly, worked quickly, and cleaned up after themselves. We had two hiccups along the way, which both dealt with us adding on painting our front door which I offer as cautionary tales for anyone getting their front door painted: First, the powerwashing of the front door also broke our electronic lock. Patrick was quick to respond and removed the cost of the replacement lock from our invoice. (Very kind, thank you!!) Second, I don't think they told us the right kind of paint to buy because it has always looked too matte and stroke-y, and has lately started to bubble. In the future, I would do more research about what type of paint to buy rather than ask the guy who shows up -- I shouldn't have sprung it on them, even though they were more than happy to do it. Who knew that door paint selection could be such a process? Despite these two notes, I would definitely use Patrick's again in the future. It's hard to find a place that offers great customer service these days, and I am very grateful!
