My husband I and booked a couples massage off Groupon to try the spot out. 10-10 recommend!!! The space was super cute! I liked the decorations and it felt clean and updated. The massages were both fantastic! It was so relaxing. Usually we book couples massages and I don't like mine or he doesn't like his but this time- we both loved our experience. I've had many massages over the years and one thing that can ruin it is the face rest- and this one- was THE MOST comfortable one I've ever had. EVER! It was soft and pillowy. My experience was just wonderful! I had the pleasure of having Josh as my masseur. He was very professional and listened to my concerns. He targeted areas that were problem areas for me (low back and shoulder blades). He did a combination of things that I was very fond of. Especially with the problem areas. He is highly recommended! If your looking for a place that is priced reasonably at $35.00 for a 50 minute massage you have found the right spot. No coupons or vouchers but a flat rate of $35 which is very appealing to those who are on a budget. I would like to commend Stephen for doing a great job. Typically I would get a female masseuse, however on the day we went all where booked. So glad they where. Stephen exhibited a professional demeanor, asking questions before my treatment , pin pointing certain areas that may need more attention then others, if I wanted the table heater on or off, and if the temperature in the room was comfortable. The massage was firm and he asked periodically if he needed to go softer or harder in touch. He valued my quite time and allowed me to relax without engaging in conversation during my massage , unlike some experiences I have encountered in the past at other places . The faculty was clean and professional. A simply welcoming station with seats and a couch. There where also some essential oils and products for sale in nicely organized showcases. The only thing from giving it a 5 was, I was not offered any oils ( peppermint, lilac, etc) to enhance my experience. Booking the appt was super easy, check in was easy (location the gps brought me to was the imagining center, drive past Publix (opposite side of the planet fitness and you'll see it) filled the paperwork out and was brought back immediately. Today my back was killing me and my normal people for these kinds of problems are 1150 miles away so I went for a massage! I don't normally do that but it was really nice! Jorge talked to me about everything he was doing, asked if it was good pressure levels for a deep tissue and suggested something called cupping. It was a very interesting experience! They are nice. The facility is pretty and clean. They are affordable!!! The lady, Kesha, was really sweet. She's a hard worker and she does OK but she seemed to be a novice to me. I have much experience in receiving all types of massages from all around the United States. I used to get as many as three a week. Now, she had great pressure and I felt relaxed, except for the one time she place an extremely hot rock on my back. If you're not experienced I'm sure you would enjoy this as your first massage but it's not a service I could come back to unless I was in desperate need. read more

First visit today to this spa and I was really impressed! Nice and clean throughout. The back spa is peaceful and nicely decorated. I had my first Microdermabrasion treatment for fine lines and hyperpigmentation. My Esthetician was Nina and she did a great job explaining the procedure to me. The procedure was painless. My finance and were visiting Jacksonville for the weekend and decided we wanted a massage because we have never had one. When I called to make an appointment over the phone the lady seemed extremely rude but I just went ahead and booked. When we were heading to our appointment the gps gave us the wrong address and we ended up 30 minutes late to our appointment. I called the receptionist to see what we could do and she said we can still come but the time would be taken out of the hour we paid for or we could reschedule for an extra $40 per person. This was understandable and we decided to go to our appointment anyways. When we arrived the receptionist was rolling her eyes and cocking an attitude with me. I bought my boyfriend and I facials as a couples type of gift for his Christmas present. He absolutely loved the idea and was so excited. Our appointments were at 10am and we both show up at 9:59am. We fill out our paperwork and have a seat waiting for our therapists to come grab us. He is pulled first which is no big deal. I'm still waiting 14 minutes when the front desk associate tells me I have to wait another 30 minutes because my massage therapist didn't realize the appointment was at 10am. So I booked an appointment for our first couples massage. When I was booking the appointment, I kept telling the person on the phone my name is "Sonyca" even spelling it out for her and she kept saying my name is Monica. When we walked through the door, the lady at the desk didn't even look up to greet us. She was quite rude to me and my significant other. I told them my name was "Sonyca" and she said there was no name or appointment for "Sonyca." So she asked my boyfriends name and when she looked him up, she said there was a appointment with his name and MONICA. MONICA. I specifically said Sonyca over the phone. At that point I was frustrated. She then wanted us to fill out some paper work and while we were filling it out on the countertop she said go sit down and fill it out. While we were filling out the forms, a Caucasian lady walked in and she was automatically greeted. Our two massage therapists asked me what we wanted Aromatherapy or Hot stones. I kept telling them it was our first time for a couples massage and I asked for suggestions. They still didn't answer my question. Until the THIRD TIME one of suggested which is better suited for us. They finished before our 60 minutes were up. The massage was very light. I asked for a deep tissue but it didn't feel like it. I've had better. They only used two hot stones. I thought they would use at least 6. I feel like it's better to get massages at Asian Massage Places. This was not worth my time and money! read more

This place is horrible. The customer service and communication between "managers" and desk staff is appalling. My sister purchased a massage for me as a birthday gift. They were out of gift certificates the day she purchased but they told her that I would be able to come in at any point as they put it in the system as store credit. Long story short, the store credit was not in the system. Getting some one to resolve the situation was ridiculous. The "manager" LISA was extremely rude, nasty, and unprofessional to my sister when she went in resolve the issue. (She brought bank statements, ect) She told her she'd have to get back to us in a week as the owner was out on vacation. We never heard back from anyone SO We ended up having to visit the spa for a 4th time before anything was resolved. One receptionist came to the conclusion that they gave the store credit to a different customer with a similar name. She was the only receptionist that was helpful/kind. She also told us she has been looking for another job because this has been happening way too often. On our 4th trip to the spa we asked to speak to the owner ("she wasn't available") so we asked for the owner name and the receptionist refused to give us her name...? We tried to explain the situation AGAIN for the 4th time to this receptionist-- getting no where. As we were about to walk out guess who walks out to speak with us...THE OWNER. So much unnecessary stress could have been avoided if we could have talked to her initially like we requested. She begged us to give the spa another chance and "didn't want us to leave unhappy" but after everything My sister asked for her money back. I wouldn't spend a dime here. read more

I did a 90 min deep tissue with the scalp massage/aromatherapy yesterday. Stephen is a phenomenal massage therapist. He addressed my recurring headaches, TMJ, poor posturing, working on concrete floors all day etc. He is very experienced and has a professional manner... We discussed ways I can improve my flexibility and relaxation beyond my massage. His energy/aura is so relaxing, authentic, and calming... his passion for his art (massage therapy) and for being totally holistic (soul, body, mind) is real.... he truly practices what he discusses. I have been to Essentials Day Spa twice. The atmosphere is nice and the price are great. I haven't come across a spa with better pricing, and if you book your appointment online you save even more. But a caution about booking online for your first visit ... when you book online you will receive an email for an "online appointment request" it is NOT A CONFIRMATION of your actual appointment. You will receive a follow up email asking you to call in (within a specific time frame) to put a card on file first and then confirm your appointment. One you have a card on file you can book appointments online. The same process will happen, you will get an email for your "online appointment request," but the follow up email will instead be a confirmation instead of a request for you to call in. This is important to know if you're trying to schedule a same day or next day appointment. I lost an appointment once before this way, so I want you know. Both times I've went. I've had the same massage therapist. Next time I will try someone new. I believe his name is David. I think he's worked there for some time. I did deep tissue with him both times. He really knows how to apply the pressure to problem areas. That is good, however, I'd also like a therapist who can verbalize to me and pinpoint root causes and problems that trigger tightness and tension in other areas and versus placing a primary focus on the troubled areas and working on those. So I want to see if I will get a different experience with another therapist. Overall the atmosphere and the ambiance is nice. The front desk staff is polite and cordial. I will continue to frequent, because the prices are unbeatable and will recommend others as well. read more
