We had a great dinner here. Empanadas we're great, pasta, and everything we ordered. Great atmosphere. We had a party of eight and we all enjoyed our meal & our stay. They had a woman there playing the cello during our meal & it was also very nice.

Pulpon perfectly cooked to medium rare and tender

This place is solid. Chef cooking the steaks is a legend, he really knows how to cook the meat juicy with an amazing crust. Beef quality was impressive as well. I tried the Pulpon as you'll find a ribeye anywhere esp if you are from the US. I was very happy with my choice.

For our last night in La Paz we decided to splurge and have a fancy meat-filled dinner. This place was great from start to finish. They had a nice selection of wines to choose from- a few Uruguayan, but most from Baja's wine country, Valle De Guadalupe. My partner and I split a delicious bottle of wine from Valle and the two person grilled meat dinner which came with an appetizer of queso fundido and bread. All the meats were delicious, cooked to order, and their chimichurri sauces were great. Ambience was classy/rustic with indoor and patio seating. Service was wonderful, food came out with good timing. Total cost for two was around 1400 pesos, or 70 dollars, which compared to what you'd spend in the US was a steal, but of course, more than you might normally spend on dinner in Baja. For us the meal was worth it, and we were completely satisfied. Great little restaurant, tucked a bit away from the central bars and pubs but easy walking distance from the city center. Yums!!

Hambugesa Wagyu, (2) Chiccarone Ribeye tacos and Sirloin taco. Mmmmmm. If you're heading down to La Paz soon (or there already), I'd recommend this place over any other that I've tried during my stay. The staff was pleasant, professional, and proficient and they made my last night in La Paz end in a high note.

Our friendly server Roberto wheeled out a giant blackboard with the food menu on one side and drinks on the other. He also answered our questions about the tacos that were unfamiliar to us. To start, we ordered the queso fundido con chorizo. It arrived at our table bubbling hot - check out my video- with a mix of warm corn and flour tortillas. I'm guessing the chorizo was housemade because it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. We also got some elotes-style corn that was so sweet and lightly charred. I also selected the gaonera, suadero, and chicharron ribeye tacos. All had great "over the coals" flavor tucked into fresh, soft tortillas. Make sure to save room for dessert. I got the fondant de chocolate. Our server advised it would be a 20-minute wait, but it was totally worth it - beautiful presentation with a molten chocolate center. Good value and great experience!

The waiter helped our decision by assuring us the food was good when we stopped to contemplate going here instead of Palermo's. We split everything, except my selfish friend wanted his salmon all to himself but also wanted to try the lasagne like me. This forced me into ordering the chicken parm, which was a calorie-costly, but wise decision. The chicken parm was probably in my top 10, despite the sauce being a little watery or perhaps from the pasta being insufficiently drained. In either case, the chicken was perfectly breaded and I'm convinced the pasta was homemade. The lasagna was also delicious, but not on par with the chicken parm. There's only two reasons I'm stuck on 4 stars: 1. Since we split everything, I would have expected new share plates for every course, but we had to ask for them. 2. While everything we had was good, I get the impression this place doesn't know what it wants to be. The menu is too big, ranging from streak to seafood to Italian to sandwiches. My advice would be to commit to the seafood theme and stick with it, or else change the decor and be something else.
