Put Las Tres Vírgenes in any one of the culinary meccas of the world - Paris, San Francisco, New York - and it would still outshine many of the finest steakhouses...that's just how good they are. It's a beautiful setting, their attention to detail is readily apparent. Modern and masculine with just enough rustic features to remind you they're cooking meat over flames, you immediately know that you're in for a treat. We had bone marrow served with refried beans (Who knew this was a killer combo?!?), Caesar salad (fresh and traditional), fish tacos (savory and snappy with zest), elote (maybe the highlight of the night, perfectly prepared tender corn oozing with flavor), whole snapper roasted over mesquite, rib eye (perfect medium rare with crispy rendered fat)...oh man...what a treat! Probably my 6th time here over the last decade and they've always been good. They now might be at their peak. It's expensive, likely one of the most costly meals you'll have in La Paz - we ordered wines, drinks, multiple apps, entrees and desserts - and spent around $100 US each for a dinner that would cost twice as much stateside. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful and the staff was very accommodating and attentive. We ordered about 12 things on the menu and everything was delicious. The table side Caesar salad was very well done the whole grilled red snapper was phenomenal and the pork shank was absolutely delicious. It's my second visit!!! I came 7 months ago and I loved it. I booked a second trip to La Paz and of course I had to come again. The service is quick, and if you have any questions about the menu, they are happy to clarify. The ambiance is very welcoming. The inside looks like a traditional Mexican home with a beautiful patio to dine. Tall beautiful mango tree. I came with my whole family, we ordered some delicious appetizers. We got the Elotes a la Leña y las Tostada de atún that were 10/10 My sister and I had a plate of Fettuccine Alfredo to share. Everything was delicious. I recommend this restaurant to anyone. This was literally our favorite meal during our visit to La Paz. It was the best meal we had down there and we ate at QUEMADERO and Nemi. we took an early reservation because we are catching an early flight the next day and just kind of wanted to chill. Quite a few tables actually did arrive at 6 PM on Sunday evening. We were escorted to the back patio area near the grill and pizza oven, we opted for tuna tostada, yellowtail tacos, elote, table-side Caesar salad, and the house cheeseburger. We were served warm bread at the beginning of the meal, which was outstanding. The Caesar salad was also incredible although a little overdressed. Next time we probably would ask for a little less oil. It was delicious. The real star of the show however has to be the cheeseburger. It was one of the best cheeseburgers I've had around the world. It was a giant juicy patty cooked perfection on a seeded brioche bun. It was served with the best french fries I've ever had. we ordered a lot of food and looked a little ridiculous and we did not finish everything. I think it might've been around $70 US. We wish we would've gone there sooner so we could've had another meal there. We were able to park out front on the street. Very cool ambience it is an open air garden setting. Bad experience with server - We made a reservation online and mentioned that it was our 33rd wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were seated in an area in front of the kitchen, not in the nicer area in the back. The candle on the table was not lit until we asked. The anniversary was never mentioned. The sever spoke English and Spanish and even though one person in our party is fluent in Spanish the server still expressed no personality and did not make us feel welcome. He ignored our table and further service after the main dishes were served. We sat there feeling ignored. The food was excellent and better than the way it was described on the menu. We paid the bill by credit card and during the charge we were told the tip would need to be cash. We did not have cash. We got up and left while the sever asked if we would run another transaction on the card. Never seen anything like it, especially at a high end restaurant. We headed to the Malecón and found a nice cafe bar that was very accommodating while giving us two tequilas on the house for our celebration. read more

I call in on a Friday to ask if we could get a table for six. The reservation desk said to you in within the next 30 minutes and I would be seated. When I arrived the head waiter said there was no such accommodation for six with attitude and we would have to wait a minimum of 40 minutes to get seated which we did. Sat at the front dining room (wish I sat at the back to view the garden)! The food was delicious!!! Started with Bone marrow, oysters and soft shell crab- perfectly cooked and the chimichurri tasted super fresh. The bread wa wood fired and had a beautiful crust and soft middle. As the main course, the whole fish with thyme. Fish was tender with a nice crispy skin, definitely meant to share portions, but that's just not me! The cocktails- made with fresh juice of course... Came here on our last night in La Paz. We were tired of seafood and tacos and wanted something a little different and more upscale for dinner. It was excellent! It was really enjoyable to watch the table-side Caesar being made and tasted great. My husband had the pizza and son the burger lboth were huge and really good. In addition to the salad I had the soup and though I was expecting it to be creamy (it was not) I was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful it was. The courtyard setting was really nice. A nice restaurant and dining experience in La Paz. A block behind the main waterfront strip. The service was excellent. No reservation but walked in and pleasantly surprised how big the courtyard and dining area was and it was fun sitting outside with the tree in courtyard as a main centerpiece. They make home made bread in the wood fired oven and it was hot and wonderful with the olive oil. Decent wine list of most Baja California wines which is appropriate. The corn and soft shell crab were excellent. The Caesar was made table side and very good. We have been having seafood for the past several days and decided to get some steaks. For the rib eye and the flank steak. Both were OK. I wish I would have gotten the pizza as an appetizer and just 1 steak. The pizza coming out of the oven looked amazing while the steak were again just OK. The sides of broccoli and mashed potatoes were cold and probably influenced the appeal of the steak. Desert of Mexican flan. Overall this is a nice alternative to all the casual dining places and nice to have cloth napkins and nice service. The staff were great and the prices reasonable. If not for the just warm to cold sides with the steaks would have given it a higher score. read more

We stopped here on a self guided food tour of La Paz and the food was so good that we skipped next two restaurants and planned a whole meal here The back patio is very relaxing and we enjoyed a perfect chill afternoon by the plants. The cocktails were delicious - tamarind margarita is a much have. From the menu we ordered the oven grilled fish, the octopus and a few other sides. Everything on the menu was delicious and perfectly made and presented. If you like seafood, the dish won't disappoint and something you'll always crave once you have had it. Overall one of the best dining experiences in Mexico. If in La Paz do check it out. If in Cabo, give La Paz a couple of days and it won't disappoint.
