    Trio Private Class

Looooved it!! It was my first time today! Booked a trip private class with my Mom and Aunt! Michelle was very patient with us and guided us every step of the way! She paid attention to detail and helped us better our form during stretches. Also the booking process was very easy! Aileen responded promptly to my questions via phone. They're such a great team. Can't wait to come back again! Totally recommend!

1st time doing Aerial pilates. I enjoyed the class.

1st time doing Aerial pilates. I enjoyed the class. May seem easy but you will immediately feel it! Well atleast I did!‍ It was a good soreness. Lol But I want to do it again. Looking forward to it. It makes working out fun. Not intimidating at all. A great whole body work out.

I was very interested in trying Pilates so I searched and found Esteem Pilates. They have a first time package, 3 private classes for $165 so I jumped at it and I'm so glad that I did. Pilates was a huge challenge for me but my instructor was great! She was clear, thorough and patient. She knew what she was doing and I was able to follow her directions because of that. She pushed me well and encouraged me. The facility is very clean! Pretty too, very good aesthetics. I had a short conversation after and the instructors all are very nice and makes you feel welcomed so if you're shy like me, don't worry I think you will love it. I took a look at the class options they have now that I'm done with my package. They have a lot you can choose from, group classes, private 1:1 or private 2 people. I just prefer private classes in general so that was my option. The prices are very fair also in my opinion. Great workout and can't wait for my body to get back into shape!

I am loving it here so far. I felt welcome on my first day and the instructor, Jessica, is so nice. She makes sure that I can push myself and at the same time made me feel good about how I'm doing. She lets you go on your own pace especially if you are a first timer. The place is clean and organize. I am excited on days to come to explore other pilates exercises.

I attended for a few months. Took several classes: Suspense, cardio, reformer 1, reformer 1.5,…read morerestore, control, sculpt. 4 stars if you take at least 2 classes a week, 3 stars for new people joining the club. Taking reformer pilates is like going a private gym, except instead of having several different machines you go to, it's combined into mostly one machine plus extra equipment. I don't usually sweat too much from the majority of classes but it feels great for toning muscles and strength. There's a lot of challenge in doing the workouts where you have to hold yourself up or plank. Weight workouts don't get too intense so there's more focus on core/abs/glutes and sometimes leg for me. -Equipment is a bit worn but in relatively good condition. -I wouldn't take the Restore again unless I had a major injury and needed something very chill, i.e. it's not worth using the credits if you don't have unlimited classes per month. Cardio was the most interesting but it's also a little scary the first time you do it because of how you move up and down the machine. Reformer 1 and 1.5 are bread and butter classes that are pretty solid. Experience can change depending on who is teaching. -Instructors are nice, but a big pain point is that there's so many different exercises that if you're not familiar with pilates it could leave you confused. -For a small class I think there should be more supervision on the students to see if they are doing the workouts properly. Some instructors do, some don't, sometimes they'll check randomly. I understand it can delay class to spend too much time helping someone out, but this seems to be somewhat of an issue for beginners. I've brought several people new to reformer to try out the classes and they are often looking around because they don't know what to do and don't always get enough help. -Marketing can be a little persistent, had to go in-person a few times to clarify things but in-person staff is generally friendly. One thing I never figured out: why do all workouts end with feet in straps? Is that normal? (it is one of my favorite cool downs).

After struggling with being motivated to exercise, I saw an ad on IG about a free intro class. Since the video had people using a machine (reformer), I thought I could do this more than yoga which is more unsupported. Also, I've tried at home vids before and I felt that I did not know the correct forms bec I did not have an instructor to notice and correct my positions. What encouraged me to try it out was after I filled out the free intro class form online, the person who called me seemed so nice and competent, even asking about any physical challenges I may have. At this point esp with a free class, there was no reason for me not to try it out! Bec of the person who called me, I felt they would understand such as if I had a hard time, etc. When I did the intro class with Mildraide (who soon became one of my favorites), I was shaking with some of the exercises, but she did not make me feel like a failure. She also greeted me with a genuine welcoming kind smile, so even if she has more of a drilling style, I did not feel intimidated. I left still pondering if I should do it, but what sold me was from that first class, I felt I could stand up taller, my limbs were more flexible, and I had a spring on my step. I am so glad one of their staff members, Cameron, convinced me because I have become healthier from doing pilates and always encourage my friends to try. This review is also for one of my other favorite instructors, Yulia, who's classically trained in pilates. Ever since I started taking her classes, I saw a big difference in the mirror and pictures and I am not so bloated and my shape is more defined. Honestly, that alone will make me keep on going, but I love the stress release and boost I get from exercising. I have since upgraded to 8 classes per month because my body started to crave the exercise. I almost want to gatekeep Yulia's class cause I never want to have to be on a waitlist, but I hope she will work at this location for a very long time. I am honestly impressed by the variety of exercises and how she knows how many reps are reasonable to expect per level. I since moved up to her level 1.5 bec I know it's appropriate to the level and won't leave me discouraged or incapable. She's very professional and never humiliates. The other instructors and staff are also great, particularly at this location. I think there is a special happy and caring feeling in this particular site, and whenever I have questions or need help about my account, I get really helpful responses. So all in all, this is just as excellent as a pilates club can be.

Plan to arrive early in case you have to park across the street. My main issues are with the strict membership policy and the crowdedness inside the studio. Most instructors are talented not only in their practice but in teaching their students. I learn and follow best by seeing a demonstration not just listening to a lecture. I had an instructor that just used the mic to give directions without showing us. One class resembled a karaoke session which was fun the first couple songs but it was dark and I couldn't see beyond the bodies next to me (they're closer than you think btw). I wasn't sure if I was using the correct form, where the instructor was, or what we were supposed to be doing. Fine for the advanced yogis but leaving us beginners lost. Overall I enjoy attending most classes here. A big issue is it's so crowded. During class you're almost on top of each other so much so that they have to stagger who bends where. The walkways get so congested and I didn't even take a chance with the locker rooms bc the people in there looked like sardines. I see so many studios other than Ra popping up left and right that it would probably benefit them to open up more locations.
