This is the worst delivery experience I've ever had. You would think that setting a delivery time and delivering furniture during that time window without an attitude would be pretty simple, but apparently, it's more than this company can handle! The appointment setter called me and set a two hour time window for the delivery the next day, Wednesday between 3:30-5:30 because I told her I would not be home before 3:30. The next day, the driver calls at 1:20 and says he is on his way. I missed the call because I was at work, but I called him back and left a message since he did not pick up after I tried calling 3 times. He never called me back. I waited for 2 hours during my appointment time and when he did not show up, I called the office, and they said the driver had attempted delivery but no one was home, and he was done with deliveries for the day. They said the only option was to reschedule. I was irritated and rescheduled for the same time the next day, Thursday. I said to the person on the phone a few times that the point of an appointment time was for the delivery to come during that time and to make sure that the driver came during the appointment time because otherwise, no one is home, and they just wasted two hours of my day. The next day, Thursday, the driver calls at 3 pm and says he wants to deliver the furniture right then. I told him my appointment time was 3:30 - 5:30 and that I wasn't home. He just said he'll come by later and hung up on me rudely. At 4:45, the delivery guy dropped off the furniture in front of my garage without ringing the doorbell or calling me ahead of time. Luckily my pest control guy was there and told me i had a delivery. I went outside and was able to catch him and asked him if he was going to bring the furniture inside. He said he was not allowed to bring it inside. My husband was out of town (that's why I needed the delivery on Wednesday) and I was 5 months pregnant so I couldn't move the heavy boxes myself. Lucky for me, my sweet pest control guy was there and moved all the heavy boxes into my house. The rude delivery guy didn't say a word to me except that I needed to sign the paper and left. My experience with this company is that the employees are Incompetent and rude. If I had a choice, I would never ever use them again. read more

Watch out! If you are thinking of employing this company to ship furniture, beware. My wife and I used Estes to transport 4 chairs from Boulder, CO to Los Angeles. 2 of the chairs arrived with damages. 1 chair has been destroyed, having been severely damaged in 5 places. We are not talking nicks and dings. We are talking 2 legs broken completely off and an arm broken in 3 places. The other chair arrived with 1 leg broken off and a crack in the wood on 1 arm. The chairs were custom-made and expensive. Estes is offering us 60 cents per pound for the chairs. For dings and nicks, I understand this mini-amount. For negligence (looks like they threw or dropped the box off their truck) or utter carelessness, this amount is ridiculous. I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU USE ANOTHER SERVICE FOR SHIPPING FURNITURE!!! read more

As a follow up to my review, they came the next morning & called me at work in which I asked them not to Bc I left directions on where to park & obviously no one gave them to the driver, they had cut the lock & didn't tell me (which they had the code) when the movers came to unload they took pictures Bc all my crates were busted & stuff had spilled out. Looks like they had pressed thig up next to my section & a lot of my furniture was damaged even though it was wrapped in blankets. I left 2 messages & didn't hear back. I will be disputing it on my credit card Bc it wasn't delivered when promised much less damages. My movers said the bulk head wasn't sturdy. Very disappointed in the company. read more

Worst Company Ever! No exaggeration here. They were supposed to deliver our closet and they never called or showed up. I had to call them, then they promised it would be delivered the next day. Same thing, no call and no one showed up. This went for three days, then I asked to speak to an Operations Manager. Told he was busy and said he would call back. They never called back, called them again on Monday. They said they would have it delivered on Tuesday, same thing no one showed and no one called. I recently had a tragic event happen in my life and I was responsible for moving my friends belongings from Richmond, VA to Bluffton SC. I reached out to Estes Express Suremove to get a quote. They were so responsive and hit all the important questions I had before I could even ask them. Within 24 hrs I had everything set up for my delivery, along with a complementary phone call AND email to outline everything. They were there 15 minutes before they said they would be and the man leaving the truck was super sweet and attentive. He walked me through all the factors with the truck and all the How-To's. They picked the truck up on time the next day and were very easy to talk with and set up a delivery time in SC. I will forever use Suremove and recommend this to anyone and everyone. WORST SHIPPING EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD!!! They were to deliver a large aluminum custom made fuel tank. When it arrived, half of the pallet was missing and the bottom looked like it was dragged for an extended period of time on a concrete floor. The corner of the tank was half gone and the tank was not usable. There were also gouges in the top. After contacting Estes Express Lines numerous times they sent me a denial letter and when I contacted someone higher up, they sent me an email to say they still deny the claim but will reimburse at the price for scrap aluminum. read more

Agree with the rest of the bloggers. The shipment was one week late. I suspected the truck was delayed to "fill up" the trailer. I was glad when the truck is finally reaching a "break-point" 60 miles from the final depot location and would arrive next day. When I was going to pickup, I was told that the trailer was diverted to a location which is 400 miles north. I am sure it was for efficiency reason. I will NEVER ALLOW my vendor to use Estes. Use a more predictable carrier such as UPS-freight. read more

Worst move ever. A lot of my expensive stuff has been broken, my mattress is wet ( and it was in a mattress cover) and how in the world can it get wet in a clsoed trailer?! When I opened the trailer the partition had no straps that would secure my stuff from moving. I personally watched the driver at the pick up location putting on 4 straps and at the destination there was not even one strap left. My belongings had shifted and I ended up with destroyed crystal, broken glass, destroyed shelves with ripped out dividers, scratches on my designer couch, chairs and metal vases and a wet mattress worth $5000 . All damaged. All of my stuff was dirty, dusty or wet. Even the driver at the destination said he mentioned his concern that the partition was down and not secured with straps at the terminal, and he will be a witness if I need him. I will involve the BBB and a lawyer. If I could give --10 I would! Estes! Your careless and reckless behavior is unacceptable! All these moving brokers should stay away from this company! read more

How do I give them 0 stars? What a bunch of a**-hats. They called to arrange delivery. I called back, 4 times over four days before I got a return call. The original delivery was to be at my office suite, but on their delivery dates, I'd have someone at the house. I asked how I could have the delivery made to the house. The rep got all kinds of attitude. When she finally agreed to check the price she said she'd have to call back. Yup, never herd from her. A day later I called again, getting the same message line, so I called the main number and reached someone. She had the hardest time comprehending I wanted a different delivery address. Once she understood, she told me it would be a $65 charge (my office is 23.3 miles from the warehouse, my home 21 miles.) Forget it. When the item, light enough to pick-up with two fingers, palm up, arrive, the trucking company stopped at the loading dock and insisted this is as far as they would deliver, even though the delivery address had a suite number on it. I'd had NO notification I'd need access to our building's loading dock. I'm writing to the company I purchased the product form and complaining; I'll never use them again because of this experience with Estes. read more

Worst Customer service ever. I do not understand why companies choose to use them for home delivery items. They do not offer delivery hours that fit with the working persons schedule. I had to take a half day of work to get the delivery. They were supposed to come between 3 and 5, but showed up at 11 am. My neighbor signed for the item, which messed up. The driver allowed a person who was not on the order to sign for a $6,000 item without even contacting me. Worst courier service ever. Next time I order an item that has to be delivered I will request that they do not use Estes. If the company still chooses to use them I will refuse the delivery horrible company. read more

It's been 2 month and they been to my house 2 times to pick up a treadmill and the same driver has refused to pick it up twice. As a former logistics consult I can say unequivocally that this is the worst logistics company I have ever dealt with. They robo call you, then have you wait 15+ minutes to then speak with a customer (lack thereof) service rep. who could care less about you or your business. They then provide you a time frame which is never met. I was actually told (during a storm) that they would be there at 8 AM Monday as the Friday delivery had to be cancelled because of icy roads. At 10:30 AM Monday I called Estes Logistics to say the delivery was 2 .5 hrs late and they then tell me the window was 8-12. The outsourced delivery installers did a great job but did not arrive until 12:45. After the setup of the NordicTrack treadmill it was determined that they sent us the wrong model. The problem was corrected and Estes logistics calls me again for another delivery time. After waiting another 20 minutes before speaking to a live customer rep I ask them to confirm a p/u of the wrong model and they said that was not in their system and I would have to be transferred to another Estes logistics area. I was on hold again and after 5 minutes had enough. Watching this company operate is like watching a Rhesus monkey solve a Rubik's cube. I informed NordicTrack that they had 2 options: 1) they set up all logistics and let me know when the product will be at the house or 2) they can give me a full refund and I'll go to their competition for a treadmill The ball is in NordicTrack's court. I placed an order for Hayneedle.com on 2/14/19 and I am currently out $1842 on two sitting chairs that I STILL don't have. The order took a week to even ship, and I was able to schedule a delivery with Estes/EFW for 3/1/19. I received a phone call from that company the night before, simply cancelling the scheduled order. No explanation, no reschedule, no timeframe for following up. I called them the next day to follow up and no one could even tell me where the shipment is--only that the company had to "find another carrier" to deliver the shipment from wherever it was. That was a week ago. It's currently 3/7/19, and I have called either Hayneedle or EFW every day since EFW dropped the deliver date, with the same exact responses "the shipping company will reach out to you today to schedule the deliver". As far as I know, the order I placed 3 weeks ago is sitting in a shipping terminal somewhere and I have no recourse whatsoever. So incredibly frustrated with this company and I am not inclined to ever place another order again, and if I EVER learn that a product I order from any store will use this shipping company, I will promptly find a different store with better discernment in shipping companies. read more

The first time we used Estes, around 5 or 6 years ago it went pretty well. Everybody I spoke to was nice and helpful. This second time, while the people were all nice and accommodating, we will not use Estes Sure Move again. Being headquartered in VA, close to where we lived, you would think the company understands VA mountain terrain and back roads. They sent out a truck with bald tires on the trailer. It took the driver seven tries to get up the road. I suggested he do it the way the first driver did, years before, and he made it up first try. But, his tires just spun out and he could not back the trailer up a paved driveway. He said these trucks normally drive on paved roadways. In the mountains of rural VA there are plenty of gravel roads. Sending out a trailer with bald tires was just plain foolish. A neighbor even brought over his tractor to try and aid the trucker to get up the driveway. Didn't help. Those bald tires were not going to grip damp dirt road or the asphalt. He left the truck at the bottom of the driveway jutting out into the road some. My friend and I had to load the truck taking everything down hill, and once in the truck, especially with the dirty, oily floor, everything just rolled and slid like crazy. What should have taken three hours, took eight. Because the truck was jutting into the road, and the new home owner could not get her car up the driveway and had to park her car in the front yard, I called Estes to shorten the load time and get the trailer early. That messed up my own ability to put on the truck what I wanted to but, I felt obligated to address the new owner, a woman in her 70s with a bad back. It took two grown men all our strength to open the door of the trailer. When things were done for the day it took all our weight and strength to close the door. The next morning I opened the door enough to crawl in to try and grease the wheels and saw two wheels out of its track. I was just finishing up when the driver arrived. We put the separation wall in place but even he could not get the belts to work and used a stabilizing beam to keep the top of it from leaning over, and used a stray belt to try and keep it tight. He used one of the stabilizing beams to smash the wheels back into their track. Even then the door hardly slid down without straining. When the trailer arrived in TX I opened the door to find wood chips and dirt all over the floor, and it seemed even more slick with oil. All of our exposed possessions, on the other side of the partition wall, whether boxes or blankets or exposed surfaces had this oily, dirty residue on them. Some things were wet. I finally noticed the trailer had a hole in the top. Something poked through from the outside in. Obviously rain water got in. The floor was so filthy my shoes tracked black everywhere in the house. Sliding anything just scraped up black dirt on it. This is a totally unacceptable truck for the moving of family goods. And this time it cost twice what our first move was for half the space. I was told these trucks for Sure Move can end up with almost anything in them because people are not watching over them at the docks. That is just wrong. I give them 2 stars because everybody I spoke to was nice. But the actual service I paid for ... no. Never again. read more

This is an official complaint to the company and about the company and their selection of drivers. First of all the driver had more than enough space to park/stand the truck to unload/make delivery of goods(like space for4vehicles to be parked in the space),and as well had a hand jack w/wheels. But instead blocked the street enough so no cars could pass,got smart about it all, offered the truck's tag number as though there's no possible consequences that were going to effect him for his discourteous,smart-alecky, and rude actions. And to boot, the receiver was no help in the matter,out there telling all the other vehicle drivers what they could do oppose to what the driver could have done as I stated earlier in this review!!!? read more

Horrible experience!!! Just like all of the reviews so far! We purchased a Sofa Sectional from Calligaris in High Point, NC. We scheduled a delivery from High Point to New York, NY. The shipment specifically requested NO DOUBLE STACKING!! When the shipment arrived, the sofa sectional was stacked 3 boxes high. When it came to asking the driver to open the boxes to verify any damages, the driver exclaimed that opening the boxes was not necessary and if there were any damages to the product, to simply call them and a claim will be submitted and they would take action. The only action they took when the claim was submitted immediately after opening each box and noticing significant damage, was a denial for refund. They simply do not care for Customer Service and I hope that everyone who is considering hiring this company for their shipping needs does not do so... You will have a horrible experience... read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They scheduled a delivery for yesterday (five hour window), so I took a day off of work. They did not show up, and did not even call to notify me until mid-afternoon. They rescheduled for today, so i took another day off of work, but the driver could not find my address, and once he found the address decided he was running too late to deliver the furniture. He called me when I could see his truck out of my window-- yet he refused to deliver the furniture!!!! He lied to his dispatcher and said the road was too icy - but I saw his truck drive past my house -twice, so I know he was lying. The disptacher was rude and hung up on me when i called to tell him what had happened!! So now I have taken off two days from work and I have no furniture. And I will have to take off a third day from work, and now they will not reschedule the delivery for another seven days!!! And they have absolutely NO customer service!! No email for customer service on their webiste, and when you try to call customer service, no one answers. read more
