Here I am, adding my name to the long list of folks who've had a horrific experience with EFW's delivery services. I ordered a dresser from Target.com. That was an ordeal in and of itself, but eventually the order was shipped and able to be tracked through EFW. The original delivery date was 10/25, which came and went with no item. It arrived in my city on 10/29, at which time the tracking information automatically updated to state "appointment scheduled" for 11/1. No one at EFW ever contacted me to schedule said appointment, so I thought that was interesting. The next day (10/30), my husband and I arrived home to find the dresser sitting in our driveway. I've never seen a box in worse shape. It was filthy with giant, gaping holes on every side. We figured there was no way that the item wasn't damaged, and we were right. There were multiple dents and scrapes all over the item--and worst of all, a piece was broken off with nails sticking out of it. Thank God we noticed the nails before we tried picking it up. We ended up returning the item to a Target store and getting a refund--I wasn't about to deal with EFW again. Lesson learned. I will no longer order from companies that work with EFW as a delivery partner. read more

I email support and get told they will "Call me within 24 hours to schedule".. 24 hours.. 48 hours.. 72 hours later.. no call. I send another email and I am told "We do apologize for the delay in delivery of your shipment. Unfortunately, the freight has not reached our delivering dock yet due to transit delays. If I could leave this company 0 stars I would. I feel like I have been scammed. This company is not flexible, doesn't work past 5 and not on weekends. Also they can't provide me information or tracking information on my package. They aren't consistent with the timeframes, shipping dates or any other information they provide. I ordered a patio set from Walmart. I didn't know walmart uses a 3rd party for shipping until I received an email from these people. I was given the option to call and schedule or schedule online. I scheduled my shipment date online and received a cnfirmation but they never came that day. I got a message that day saying I needed to call and reschedule redelivery. They said they couldn't deliver my furniture because I didn't confirm through telephone the confirmation I received online. I know, it makes no sense at all. It is a week later and now instead of being able to choose a delivery date that suits my schedule, they only gave me an option of 2 days and a set time and I still haven't received my shipment and it's 15 mins to the deadline they provided me. It was supposed to arrive yesterday, I had to take work off because of the signature required and they never showed up. I called and they said they don't know but can't get a hold of anyone. Horrible! Within the last week I've spent a total of 2 1/2 hours on the phone with Estes representatives about not having a fraudulent order delivered. With every phone conversation, I was promised that nothing would be delivered and that they canceled even receiving the order from a third party. I then received emails and text messages from Estes that packages would be delivered. I had to call again several more times re-explaining the situation and that nothing should be delivered. I even recorded all of the conversations. I just received a call from an Estes driver wanting to know a gate code to deliver packages. I had to re-explain everything to him and let him know that nothing should be delivered and that we are rejecting any packages. He said nothing was communicated to him about it. Really?!! Really wanted this to be better than 1 star but unfortunately my experience was very similar to others' reviews on here. Ordered a sofa from Target and it was shipped through EFW. The package arrived at my destination city on 7/20 and its scheduled delivery date changed 3 times without notification. Every time I called customer service, they could never give a straight answer as to why it wasn't delivered. My favorite was when the customer service agent told me the terminal was open on a Saturday and they would send an email right away to the terminal to ask for it to be delivered. The next day (Saturday) I called, and another agent stated the terminal was closed on Saturday and nobody would respond until Monday. So, they lied about the terminal hours! Anyway, my package was "out for delivery" starting 7/25. After multiple frustrating calls, it was finally delivered on 7/31. The packaging was damaged, but thankfully the sofa was not, so the 1 star goes for the package arriving, and the delivery agent being nice about wheeling it into the apartment. read more

Unbelievably horrible!! First off they kept updating the status of my order as "delayed" when in fact it was lost. (lie #1) I was told by 2 separate customer service agents that I would have answers within 24-48 hrs. My delivery date was set to 3/2, they didn't show up. I reached out to them and they tell me that the delivery date is being updated. It's updated to 3/5, and again, they don't show up. I really didn't want to believe the negative reviews but yet....here I am. I ordered some patio furniture through Walmart and my items were said to have arrived in the destination city on 10/19 (4 days ago). I set up my delivery date to be today over a week ago. As of this morning, the tracking status showed my Appointment was created at 8am so I assumed that the items were in transit and would be here between the scheduled 8-12 window. Well 12pm has come and gone, so I contacted them through live chat. Only then was I informed that the items weren't even out for delivery....nobody called me to reschedule or notify me of this change. They stated that they are at very high capacity....which I could understand if I'd made an appointment with only 24 hours notice. But, I made this appointment over a week ago and they've had my merchandise for 4 days. I made arrangements to be home to sign for these items today and will now have to wait until Wednesday next week for my delivery.....I'm hesitant that they will indeed be delivered even then. Overall, I'm disappointed as I wanted to make use of my furniture over the weekend and thought scheduling far in advance would be enough. UPDATE: I'm editing my previous review. Anyone can get frustrated when they're expecting a delivery and it doesn't arrive on the stated date and time. However, my shipment did arrive at the newly scheduled time and my items did not have any abnormal shipping damage. My furniture was fine and the boxes had some minor scrapes and tears, but heavy freight can get those in shipping. Other than the scheduling hiccup, I'd say they did their job well, hence the edit. read more

This has been by far my worst experience with a delivery company. My treadmill arrived at its destination city more than 2 weeks ago and not a single person has contacted me to schedule delivery. I have called them 2 times, emailed them twice. The one time I called, a customer service agent stated that someone would be in touch with me within two days. I also had to wait close to 30-40 mins before someone answered and gave me vague answers. It's been 4 days and no one has reached out to me. They also have not replied to any of my emails. THIS IS LONG, BUT PLEASE READ. I'm not sure why retailers continue to ship through EFW. They are unreliable and the most unprofessional shipping company I have ever worked with. I waited a while to write this review. But, after losing 8 hours of work because this company outright LIED about the status of my shipment, I had to come on here to give my review. On their website they noted that my shipment being out for delivery (if I could post a screenshot, I would) . When I called them, I was informed they "forgot" to put my package on a truck. From now on, if I learn that any business ships through EFW, I will not purchase anything from them. Sadly, EFW's incompetence--and their lazy and equally incompetent employees--is hurting retailers more than EFW itself. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. If you've received poor service from them, I advise you to contact the BBB as well. Houzz, which ships through this company, just lost all of my business on large pieces of furniture. I hope other retailers like Houzz (Target, etc.) are carefully reading these reviews, and I hope they reconsider their business contract with EFW. When I asked one of the managers at Houzz why they continue to work with a shipping company that is untruthful and has a total disregard for customer service, based on the reviews posted here, he told me that you only tend see the negative reviews online, because people tend not to post the positive reviews. He reassured me that I should not pay attention to the negative reviews EFW has received on Yelp (and elsewhere). Well, as someone who's had a nightmare experience with EFW, I can assure that ALL of the negative reviews you are reading here accurately reflect EFW and their business ethics. If you order large pieces of furniture or appliances from a company, I suggest you ask in advance if they'll be shipping them via EFW. Estes delivered 3 sets of patio furniture that we bought online. There were 2 scheduled deliveries. The first delivery contained 2 gargantuan boxes (6'x6') which arrived in good condition and on time. However, the guy refused to back up the truck to the end of the driveway and leave it near the deck when asked. I also made a special request prior to delivery to have this done, but apparently that didn't count for anything. In the end, what would have taken him 10 seconds and required no extra physical work, took me an hour. Thanks for nothing. The second delivery was much more of an issue. First, a day before our scheduled appointment, we got an email saying that the order was going to be delayed. They couldn't be sure when it would be delivered, but they promised to let us know as soon as they figured it out. Anyway, we went about our business and wouldn't you know it, the delivery arrived as originally quoted. They failed to provide an update or alert to say it was being delivered however. It was just plopped down at a random time of their choosing. This was very annoying since it didn't allow us the chance to inspect the items or boxes, and we didn't want to be left with unseen and unispected orders which couldn't easily be returned. My second gripe for this delivery is that the packages were left in a very inconvenient spot at the edge of the driveway entrance. Wtf is with these people? There's a massive, empty driveway just sitting there. Back the truck up and leave it closer to the house! Who wants 3 6'x6' boxes weighing 200 lbs each to be left far from the appropriate delivery point? They seem to give no consideration as to how civilians without heavy moving equipment would be able to deal with this stuff. Finally, all 3 boxes were left upside down, even though they were clearly marked with a 'this side up' sticker. Two boxes had white dusty footprints all over them as well, so I guess they (or someone in the delivery chain) were walking on the boxes. Really nice and professional. I guess that proves my point about the importance of being given accurate delivery times which then enables customers to be around for package inspection. All in all, they did a very subpar job. Avoid them if you can, but if you order online you may not have a choice. read more

The driver left it outside and I had to fight him to bring it to our main entrance instead of the side entrance. OK its 7/1, pissed, but np, just want the garbage off my doorsteps. Scheduled for 7/5 and was told their policy of someone going to give me a call for confirmation for pick up, even though i already told them its good for 7/5. At this point, I don't trust these people because they do not seem to sound like they know what they are doing. Call them back the following day to check up on the pick up. GUESS WHAT??? I was supposed to receive my package on Friday June 21st. It didn't come so I assumed it would come on Saturday. By 2 pm I decided to call and ask where my package was because the tracking page hadn't changed. When I called the guy said that since it came late on Friday to the warehouse that it wouldn't come until Monday. He then asked me if I would like to receive a phone call Monday morning when the truck leaves. Update: It should be arriving today only 4 days late and only a short and sweet email. I've had the same experience as many other reviewers. Like others, I was extremely excited for my new treadmill to arrive and I religiously watched the tracker. When it finally arrived in my hometown, I expected to receive a call from EFW within the next day or two to set up an appointment. A few days passed and I finally got an email from Horizon saying my treadmill was in the destination city and EFW would reach out to me in 5-7 days to set up a delivery appointment. 7 days after that email from Horizon and no update on the EFW tracker, I emailed EFW to inquire about the status. No response. I emailed them again 3 days later and finally decided to give them a call. Upon calling I realized I could set up an appointment which I did happily. EFW was supposed to deliver the treadmill today between 1 - 5pm. Its now over an hour past 5pm and other than a confirmation email this morning I have received no communication from EFW as to where my treadmill is. I've been on hold with EFW for the past 30 mins and haven't been able to reach a representative yet. Do yourself a favor and don't order from Horizon or EFW. read more
