The worst customer experience I have ever had. I had a scheduled delivery between 8am-6pm. In their confirmation it says "driver will leave a package in DRY area". I was worried bc we have a porch with a cover, which doesn't cover from heavy rains like it was that day. So I contacted customer service asking for ETA so I can be home and put the box inside and it won't get wet. So I was told that they will send me email with ETA. 3 hours later no email. I contacted again CS. They told me that they have a note for my delivery that driver will call 30 minutes ahead. But I also asked for ETA. And girl said they will deliver by 6pm, close to 6pm. I was relieved bc I would come back home by 5pm. And guess what? Driver came at 3:30pm, no call ahead, not close to 6pm, In not home and it raining. I asked for manager, and that was the worst part - he was very rude, even when I explained all above and said that their customer service provided me wrong information! He said he doesn't care and driver can leave package there even if it's not dry (opposite that says in confirmation!!!) also he raised his voice, was very rude, said he doesn't care what they say and he can't help me and if I don't like something I should contact Target (the delivery was from target) I hope Target will no longer have any business with this company! read more

Unfortunately you don't really get a choice with these kinds of deliveries. We ordered a treadmill and the company outsources the delivery to local companies. We were given a window of 10-4 and told we would get a call 30 mins prior. By 3:45PM when I hadn't received a call, I began to get annoyed. I called and was told they couldn't get in touch with the driver but to call back in 20 mins. So I did, and was told the driver is 5 mins away and he said he called (most certainly did not) and no answer. The delivery was late, after waiting all day and he first tried to leave it on the sidewalk (a ways from our entrance). Finally brought it to the entrance and had NO MASK ON. He was standing over my partner while he signed for the delivery. Disgusting customer service and dangerous to boot. If you have any choice in the matter, do not use them. read more

This whole experience has been nothing short of pathetic. I called them because my delivery hadn't moved in ten days. They said they never received it. The next day I received a call that I could set up delivery so I did. They have since missed delivery days on 3 occasions and can't even call to let me know that they will be late. One of the days they lied and told us on the phone that it was out for delivery only to recant that night and say they couldn't fit it on the truck because there wasn't space. If you have a choice of delivery carriers I HIGHLY recommend you read the BBB about this company as there are very few decent reviews and most of them are terrible. read more

I ordered a treadmill from Walmart and one of Estes subcontractors made the final delivery. The package was received undamaged and placed exactly where i needed it to be. I have had many large packages delivered by freight and about 70% of the time the product is damaged. I usually hate having things delivered by freight because i have to return it most of the time. read more

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. My package is over a week late with no updates. Every time I call customer service they say "we aren't able to get in touch with the warehouse." They gave me a number to call -- whose voicemail box is full. They gave me another number to call -- has gone to voicemail for a full week. They have promised to call me back when they hear back -- no calls. Target shipped my item via EFW and I promptly received an email from EFW saying that my order will be delivered "within days." I got super excited thinking I will have my item within days, but after 3 weeks, I still have not received my item... My delivery date was scheduled for 6/1 and it did not arrive. Two days later, I'm still waiting... Hopefully they deliver it today but I have a feeling they're gonna let me down again :( Edit 6/5: Still have not receive my item or any update whatsoever. Very poor communication. Multiple days the website said my package was going to be delivered and it wasn't. Limited delivery times. The team said they weren't going to be in my area for a week so I had to wait to get my package even longer. Delivery driver showed up alone and asked my husband to help. If my husband refused to help, the package would not be delivered. This is not what I paid for. I am highly dissatisfied with the service. Horrible delivery service. I ordered an item from target on 5/10, I got a delivery update that said the item would arrive on 5/28. On 5/31 still no package/phone call that it was being delivered, going through the target app to check status the last update was from 5/18 that package was in transit. I called target for a status update on 5/31, they stated that they spoke directly with EFW and were told that the package would arrive 6/1 or 6/2 at the latest. On 6/5, still no package. Checked online again and it stated that as of 6/5 the package had arrived to destination city, but the estimated delivery date is still 5/28. I did try and call EFW as well, but could never get through to anybody. UPDATE: I emailed Jay immediately after seeing his reply, still no response. However, I did get an automated email today that my delivery was scheduled for today (6/10, which is two weeks after when it was originally supposed to have arrived) and that my delivery window was from 8am-6pm for to the door service. I get home from work today to find that my package has been delivered, however it was not to the door service. It was left in the middle of my driveway, in a rain storm. Sine they didn't call when they delivered it I have no idea how long it was sitting out there for. All I know is that it was completely soaked through. Also, it looks like the didn't care at all about handling "with care", it looked like it has been tossed around and thrown in and out of a delivery truck with no care in the world. HORRIBLE DELIVERY SERVICE. I intended to report them to the better business bureau and to target so they know what a horrible carrier they're entrusting their merchandise too. I had ordered a very large/heavy appliance to be delivered to my home. Got all the tracking updates via text which was nice. They called me about 20 minutes before the delivery to confirm the gate code. The driver who delivered my item was very nice. Shipment arrived intact, no damage or anything. We ordered an eliptical from Horizon and had excellent service. We knew ahead of time the day they were coming. The driver gave us a call when he was close to our home. The two guys knew what they were doing and handled our very heavy box quickly and efficiently. We paid extra to have upstairs delivery which was no problem for them. Great job. read more

There should be an option for Zero stars. i ordered a media center from BBB/Overstock. Nothing but aggravation since I got notice that the item was shipped. The delivery was to be White Glove delivery--which is inside delivery to the room of my choice and in crated. Which the office records show but according to the delivery people their records were not updated To the white glove delivery. I called last Friday because I got an email saying the item was delivered--but it wasn't. They said it was a tracking error and would be delivered Monday.--we set up delivery time for 8 AM to Noon. I called this morning to confirm delivery and automated tracking said it was out for delivery. At 1 PM still no delivery--I call the office-- guy tells me it is Not out for delivery and he doesn't know when it will be delivered. I ask for a supervisor--Adrian tells me it is out for delivery and will be delivered by 5 PM. Adrian sends me an email and says if I have any questions or concerns to email him. At 4 PM no delivery nor any text updates that I signed up for. I email Adrian--no reply. We at 4:30 I email Adrian again--still no reply. At 5 PM I call the office again--I am told to look outside for the package--nothing by the front door --then he tells me to look around my property. The huge box (email says it weighs 599 lbs) is in front of my garage door--blocking my garage door with my Jeep inside. I speak with Natalie (allegedly a manager) tell her the media center is ourside in the weather elements and I am unable to get my Jeep out of the garage because the box is blocking the garage door. She apologizes but nothing she can do and can't give me an update on when the problem will be rectified. I tell that is unacceptable and for the next hour all she can do is apologize. I have a mobility disability and my mobility scooter is in my Jeep in the garage that I can't get out. She still has no solution nor knows when she will have a solution--she said should be 24-48 hours. Doesn't care that I have places I need to go to--can't get my vehicle out--it is a week before Christmas. Just moved into my house 2 weeks ago so I don't know anyone to ask for help. So just a horrible freight company that has no contingency plan when things go wrong. Can't even get the same paperwork between the office and the delivery people. Ordered some large items from Walmart and they shipped it via EFW, which is a freight forwarding company that coordinates the shipments and local delivery services. On the Walmart site, it said I would receive my order by a certain Tuesday, so I made sure to be home and waited all day. Lo and behold, once you go to the EFW tracking page, it said that Tuesday is when EFW would receive the package, and then you would still need to coordinate with them for delivery. The EFW site said I would receive a phone call to schedule my delivery, but that call never came. Amateur hour. I did eventually speak with their live chat (and later a person on the phone), and they were easily able to schedule and reschedule my delivery. However, at that point, the earliest availability would be Friday. So basically, if you're ordering from Walmart and they use EFW - don't trust any of their delivery estimates at all. read more

I ordered a pool from walmart.com to be shipped through them. We are now 11 days past the supposed delivery date and tracking still says "Status: Arrived at Origin City." I tried calling their customer support number but failed to talk to a person after being on hold for an hour twice. I sent them an email and got a return saying my shipment had been escalated and someone would contact me as soon as possible. That was five days or three business days ago. I had to contact walmart to attempt to get my order moving forward. *Edit* I just got an email from EFW saying they still don't know where it is and calling it a "service failure." Extremely disrespectful and unreliable for an overpriced service. They have an online system for you to schedule the day and time window for delivery. I scheduled for a Thursday morning. On Wednesday, late at night, I received a phone call saying they were not delivering on Thursday but on Friday. On Friday morning, they didn't deliver. I called Friday afternoon and they say they will call me back to schedule (!!) As I insisted this was the second time they didn't deliver when they were supposed to and asked for a delivery date, they simply didn't know if and when they'd feel like delivering the items. read more

If I could give a 1/4 star that would be too high. They are the worst delivery service company I've had to deal with. Their customer service agents seem decent. But no matter the conversation nothing gets done. I've been waiting for a delivery for two weeks and no one can get it done. One attempt was made but they didn't contact us to say it was being delivered. Because there was a gate at the apartment complex and couldn't get in they left. The leasing is 50 feet from the gate yet the driver or his helper couldn't bother to ask the office to open the gate. Then lied and said they attempted to contact us. I would blast Overstock who we bought the merchandise from but they just subcontract to have merchandise delivered. This is absolutely the worst freight carrier and you should avoid them like the plague. They were supposed to deliver Costco furniture that was ordered. The estimate time for delivery was 1 week. A month has past and I have made sooo many calls but they lie lie lie. Not as bad as the rest of the reviews. In all honesty, it was a decent delivery experience. Bought a 55" TV on sale at Target.com and they shipped it with EFW. Delivery estimate was Dec 21 to Dec 26. It arrived at the EFW SoCal warehouse on Dec 8th, and was delivered to my door, early, on Dec 11th. I've had experience with a couple of these budget freight companies, and the fact that EFW essentially followed directions and walked up a flight of stairs (as promised) was something of a miracle. Essentially, I am saying that EFW lept over a very very low bar. The not so good ... Side of my TV crate was punctured. It looks like it was done with a forklift blade. Thankfully, Vizio packed enough foam around the screen to prevent major damage. Otherwise this would have been a very different review. Hard to say whether this was done by Target.com at their warehouse or by EFW. Either way, companies need to be a lot more responsible when shipping very large and very fragile TVs. But, all in all, it was an OK experience. read more

I ordered from Target and this is the company that was delivering my package. I didn't expect much after reading reviews, however played it off because some people can complain about nothing. I also don't know if Target only goes through EFW tracking, so I didnt want to blame every delivery company, but here is my experience with efw. I ordered online, it was scheduled to be delivered on 12/15. Being that it is around Christmas time I did expect delays, but they called to tell me that my package was on it's way from its location that is only 35 minutes from my area. I had called them 5 times in one day and sat listening to shitty music for a half hour each time. It took them 5 days.Then the box comes in completely destroyed. 5 or so big holes in it from things smashing through the box, the box was flilthy, the hardware parts box opened up and they were all over the place, surprisingly none fell out. And to top it all off, the edge of my tv stand is all chipped. read more

Absolutely terrible. Scheduled delivery Monday 1/18. Stayed home all day, nothing. Called midday and were told "it's out for delivery". After hours of nothing we called again and were told "the office is closed, it could still come or could be running late" (which tells us nothing). Next day, window was updated on the online tracking to "between 6am - 2pm" (not a 4hr window btw). Called at 2pm and was told we were the next stop. 2 hours later, nothing. Called again and was told a) the delivery was never supposed to happen that day (despite what the website said AND that someone on the phone told us we were the next stop) and b) that the delivery driver said they tried to deliver the day before and no one was home (an outright lie). We ended up telling them to not even bother. So frustrated as I actually wanted my treadmill but unfortunately I can't put my life on hold for a week+ for a lying delivery company. read more

Terrible customer service, lack of accountability, and follow up. Too bad negative stars are not an option. Large item ordered from Target and freight shipped via EFW. 1. delivery address changed well in advance of the delivery and recorded in EFW's system along with an onsite contact phone number as confirmed by 2 separate customer service reps. 2. delivered to the original address despite the change being on file and clearly noted in their system. 3. after incorrect delivery was notified to EFW and escalated, the promised follow up to get a truck back out to redeliver was not done. Did not receive either the promised call back or the redelivery. 4. paid out of pocket to move the very large box from the delivery address to the corrected delivery address because we could not leave it in the delivery location (which was why it was changed in the first place!). 5. in addition, EFW has insanely long wait times to speak with customer service. each call is about 45 minutes to an hour to get a customer service person on the line. read more

We ordered our main Santa gift for our 2 youngest children (it's a large gift, so it's going to be shared) and Walmart used EFW for freight shipping. I was able to easily schedule my delivery appt and was hopeful things would work out perfectly. BUT, we waited during our entire delivery window (plus a few hours...because I was optimistic it would arrive since I never received a phone call stating it wouldn't)...it never showed. I never got a call. I have called and waited on hold for 30-50 min multiple times over the last several days, and as soon as a rep answers the phone, they disconnect the call. Then I have to start all over -- which is really frustrating when you're working and trying to multitask. I am currently waiting on hold for the 2nd time today as a complete this review. Unfortunately, it looks like 2 of my children won't have a gift from Santa on Christmas morning...because I don't see how they'll be able to get this scheduled and delivered this close to Christmas if they couldn't make it the week before. I'm not sure how I'll explain this to my older children who believe in Santa. And I definitely have no clue how I'll explain it to my 3 year old. I even asked the rep I spoke with over the weekend which "destination city" the package is sitting in so we could try to coordinate picking it up ourselves...but the rep I spoke with said he didn't even know where the package was located...which is also quite concerning. If your company is (quite literally) one of Santa's biggest helpers, you need to remember that many children and families are depending on you guys. This will definitely take away the magic our these 4 kids for Christmas unless we something is done by Christmas. The younger 2 will miss out on seeing what Santa brought for them and the older 2 are definitely going to wonder why their little siblings are left out. read more

My stove was scheduled to be delivered on July 1st. Today is July 12th. The package was coming from Georgia. I've called EFW 22 times in the last two days. The phone continuously rings with no answer. I was supposed to receive text messages about where my stove was and when it was set to arrive. The delivery I scheduled was between 1 and 3 PM today. It's now 3:28 PM. There's no answer from their control tower, no answer to my emails. Nothing. I'll be surprised if the stove gets to my home in one piece and undamaged. read more

I bought a sofa from Kardiel and this was my first time interacting with EFW as a courier. I received a courtesy phone call the day before delivery to ensure I'd be home during the window. The delivery folks were professional and accommodating. My sofa was delivered in good condition and in a timely manner. My only note is that to add-on "in-home" delivery was pretty expensive, so I only chose "at-home" delivery where it is delivered to your entrance. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I ordered an expensive treadmill last week and at first got excited to see that it had shipped so quickly. But then the problems rolled in. First a got a "weather delay" notification that apparently turned out to be false? And then I was never notified of a delivery appointment or time even though that's apparently part of the delivery process. Next thing I know I'm getting a notification saying my treadmill was delivered and someone signed for it. But nope. My husband and I were both home at the apparent time of delivery and the treadmill was definitely never delivered. After calling customer service to see what the heck is going on, they have no idea what happened. How do you lose a treadmill??? And have it signed for by someone who isn't even the recipient? The subcontractor said they didn't even know delivery was scheduled so they made no contact with subcontractors about delivery. They subcontracted with a company that was so rude to me I wish I could give 0 stars. EFW couldn't even get a hold of their subcontractors. I called daily for a week and they kept saying no one answers. Why would they work with people who have no work ethic. They flat lied about attempting to deliver, texting, and leaving voicemails. I was able to accurately track my items via the website with no issue. The driver was very courteous and handled my items with care. I was hesitant based on the other reviews but my experience was great! Another added bonus was that my items arrived early. I believe that the issues primarily rise around whoever EFW contracts with. I have spoke with them 10+ times now over an item that is over a week late. Still never received my order. Now today, after my item was confirmed three separate times with three different agents, it is "missing" and I will not have an update for 3 days. I placed my order on Target.com for a sofa. The delivery company assigned to my order was EFW. The shipment was supposed to arrive June 7 but it did not. After multiple calls/chats, I finally received a delivery date and time, June 18, 2021 between 6:45am-11:45am. On June 18 at 10:15am I received a call from the driver with EFW who told me he would be arriving in about 20-30 minutes and proceeded to tell me that he would only be dropping off my sofa to the lobby of my apartment building, not to my door. I immediately told him that's not going to work for me he's going to have to bring it to my door just like everything else I order from target, especially the biggest item I've ever ordered from target. Within 10 minutes a representative from EFW called me telling me that I have a "curbside delivery" not to the door delivery which is false because on my shipment receipt the service level says to the door! The representative proceeded to let me know that because I live in an apartment building, to the door means to the lobby door not my apartment door. It was the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life! I don't live in the damn lobby. I'm being discriminated against because I don't own my own home I live in an apartment so they refuse to deliver to my front door like they do for home owners. There was no way I, a female, would be able to take a sofa up 11 flights by myself! I don't own a dolly or live with a man to help me with my shipment. I was never told or notified I would be receiving my shipment at the curb of my building at the time of purchase by Target or by EFW. This was crazy! This was FALSE ADVERTISMENT ON A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL!! I couldn't believe that my order from target, TARGET, this reputable company was doing this to me. I called Target customer service immediately and explained my situation. Before I could even finish my story, the representative knew I was talking about EFW and told me unfortunately there was nothing she could do to help me. She advised to just refuse the shipment and let EFW send the order back to Target and get a full refund. I wasted 5-6 weeks waiting around for an item that I expected to be delivered to my door for only to be played games with on the day of delivery. I will be filing a suit against Target and EFW for false advertisement and discrimination. Target needs to sever their ties with EFW because they aren't doing their job. They are deceiving their customers. EFW is the biggest joke of a freight company that I've ever experienced. This is a violation of California Code, Business and Professions code - BPC 17500 which prohibits businesses from knowingly or recklessly making false or misleading statements or otherwise deceptive statements designed to promote the sale of goods or services. I want to make it very clear that at the time of my purchase, there was no fine print or anything in writing by TARGET or by EFW notifying the customer, me, of a "curbside delivery" upon arrival. I would've needed to know that information BEFORE purchasing the sofa from TARGET. read more

The EFW tack website (efwtrack.com) is meaningless and so is the customer support reps, who sound that they are trying to help, but are unable to give an update or resolve a situation.
