If you're looking for more fine dining there is a nice seafood place called Frescos up on Ryder's lane. The Milltown diner on main street is a deal and a half when it comes to breakfast and lunch. Try your luck fishing in the pond! It's right in the center of the town by the Hess station. At the corner of one of the towns very few traffic lights. Been fishing there since I was a kid. Caught some big bass and pickerel in there. Even if the fish aren't biting, it's a nice place to grab an ice cream cone from the ice cream depot up the street and relax. Best place on the planet to celebrate the Fourth of July. They start the day with a fishing derby! Always fun fishing on the little mill pond. Catch some largemouth bass and some trout and then it's on to the 5k run! Race with all your buddies all over the town. It's a pretty hilly run, but it's well worth it when you come through the finish line and are met by 100's of cheering spectators. The parade starts normally around 10am and is filled with marching bands, fire trucks, dance teams, and even some rock bands on floats! Next, everyone files down to the towns borough park where there are rides for the kids, live entertainment, lots of vendors, and free hotdogs and soda! The large "MILLTOWN" sign up on the hill just can't be beat. This is a town with pride! At night, there are live bands down at the park and they have a firework display that often puts others to shame. Lookin for an all American small town feel? Take a trip to Milltown.

There is an irreplaceable energy in the mix of old-school tenement history, incredible street art, and some of the best food in the city. Whether you're grabbing a classic pastrami sandwich at Katz's or just wandering down Orchard Street, the neighborhood always feels alive and authentic. It has definitely changed and gotten trendier recently, but that gritty, creative soul is still very much there. It's the kind of place where you can just walk for hours and never get bored.

The area has changed a lot over the years. St Marks Place is a shell of the anti-establishment hippie punk scene it used to be now with all the karaoke, chain shops, and Asian eateries populating the area. Yet you can still envision it's punk soul when walking the street, Katz Deli is an iconic place to drop some cash on a pastrami sandwich and cream soda. Veselka is a must stop to eat pierogies, kielbasa, eggs, coffee and Ukrainian standards. Veniero's is a terrific old world spot to enjoy pastries since 1894. So many others, too many to mention. There are so many places to eat, drink, and feast here. Cool murals, art, and graffiti can also be found on the sides of buildings.

I guess it is also West Lower East Side. Anyway, between Houston, Broome, the Bowery, and Lafayette, Nolita has some stellar sites, including our faves: Softside, Thai Diner, and Ceres. It's not as frenetic as SoHo, touristy as Little Italy, or as corporate at Lower East Side. Great place to walk, bad place to drive or park.

It offers over 70+ restaurants of Colombian, Brazilian, Portuguese, Honduran, Mexican, Guatemalan, Salvadoran, American, Italian, Peruvian, Cuban, Ecuadorian, Venezuelan descent and more along the Avenue and its adjacent streets. * There are various historical sites along Broad St. such as Boxwood Hall and many architecturally interesting churches. * Morris Ave. is a Little Colombia of sorts, offering over 30 Colombian restaurants, shops, cafes, bakeries. * The Elizabeth River Walk is a newly built walkway that runs parallel to Elizabeth Ave., that even offers a brief history of Elizabeth, the first capital of New Jersey. * There is even a beautiful waterfront park/walkway by the Elizabeth Marina, offering beautiful views of the Newark Bay. It is accessible via the Marina, Marciante Jackson Millet Park, Veterans Memorial Park where there's even a playground. (In addition, there are various restaurants, cafes, and bakeries nearby in the Seaport area). * And all of this is without even mentioning Elizabethtown's history of Italian immigration, which dates back 100+ years, and is representative in its red sauce restaurants, pizzerias, Italian hot dogs, butchers, and establishments in the Peterstown neighborhood.
