This review is concerning their Billing Dept. They said I owed a Balance of $45.00 for a visit 8 months ago. I remember paying that balance when leaving their office, so I looked at my past receipts. Sure enough, I had paid it at the time of my visit. I called the office and they said "Oh sorry, the $45 is for your September visit. Again, I remember paying that when leaving the office. I again looked at my past receipts, and sure enough, I'd paid it previously. I called the office AGAIN, and they said "Oh sorry, we had mistakenly applied your $45 to another patient's account." Wow. BOTTOMLINE: Be very diligent and double-check their billing, and SAVE all your receipts ! read more

My mother in law recently had dental work done at another office and still having pain. Dr Smith did a great job on my recent root canal, so I recommended for my mother in law to do consult with Dr Smith see if he can find out why she still having pain. Dr Smith did consult for her and did an adjustment on her bridge. My mother in law said it helped sooooo much. She no longer has the pain and able to eat/ chew on that side of her mouth. Staff are very nice and welcoming! I booked my appointment in the am and I didn't have to wait like other places I've been to before. I came here for a cleaning and a few weeks later I came back and had two on lays done by dr Margaret tran and her assistant. I forgot their names but he did my cleaning and he was super fast just how I like it. The other time around dr tran was very knowledgeable and helped me understand the process of what we were doing that day. I liked that she went over step by step and made me feel comfortable. Overall she and her assistant were amazing! I'd definitely recommend coming here if you live on this side of town. Another plus for me was the inside was very clean! Even the restroom! I have been to a lot of other Dentists and this by far was my best experience. I met with Dr. Smith and he and his assistants reviewed all the work that needed to be done. We broke it up into 3 appointments and I could not be more happy with how the staff treated me and the end result. Staff was friendly and always reminded me about my next appointment. I had a tooth that was really irritating me and needed a crown. Dr. Adam Smith did the procedure in a timely fashion and I can now eat and drink again without irritation. If you're looking for a great family owned business that you can trust... this is your spot!!! read more

The staff was friendly but I feel they way overcharge. They told me how much out of pocket I would pay after insurance they were off by over $200. I've never been to a dentist that was that wrong before. I would definitely look elsewhere unless you want to get ripped off. read more

I made an appointment for Thursday at 7:00am and when I called to confirm they notified me that they don't work until 9:00am. The call was yesterday, I spoke to a woman. I got up early and now I don't know if I even have an appointment. They did not give me an answer at the moment, they agreed to call me. Let me be honest. I hate going to the dentist. It's not that I'm afraid it's going to hurt (frankly, it just never has), it's just that I am an over-achiever by nature, and yet I have felt all my life like my teeth are under-achieving. I usually feel quite naked, lying there, basically saying, "Go ahead, scrutinize me! Point out all of my flaws! That's right - I never floss! Never!" Does this sound like you? If so, you are going to love Dr. Wellman and his staff at Estrella Mountain Dentistry. Before I saw Dr. Wellman, I filled out the standard medical paperwork, but there were also some questions about how I felt about my smile, and how I felt about dentist visits in general. Since I was brutally honest, the staff there embraced my neuroticism and made me feel great. It helps that I have a fairly clean bill of health - no cavities! I scheduled two separate visits. The first was with Dr. Wellman, and the second was with the dental hygenist. It's usually the cleaning that makes me cringe, but this was about as lovely as a teeth cleaning can get. And, I got to watch a movie! Yep, there are flat screen tvs on the ceiling, and I had my choice of comedies and dramas. I only got to see the first 30 minutes of "The Wedding Planner," but that was fine by me! I found Estrella Mountain Dentistry by way of an advertisement sent to my home, offering free whitening for life, so long as I responded to the ad within a certain period of time. As long as I continue to go in for my bi-yearly check-ups and cleanings, I will receive the whitening gel. I highly recommend Estrella Mountain Dentistry if you are in the area. I also made an appointment to bring my twins in for their check-ups. It was such a comforting environment that I think they will do just fine. Plus, they have Blue's Clues and Dora and all the other fabulous kid shows that are sure to delight my four-year-olds! read more

Went to this dentist because I had a $25 coupon for exam, x-rays, and cleaning. Not impressed. Dr. Adam Smith has no personality. He is more of a salesman than anything, and is a greedy fast-talker. In my 40 years I have yet to find a dentist that I would want to willingly go back to until now. EMD is awesome from the staff to Dr. Wellman. The office is clean and the atmosphere is really inviting. I had a lot of work done. Major work. The kind of work that if I had found Dr. Wellman earlier I probably wouldn't have had as much. There was no pain at all. Can you go to a dentist and honesty say you weren't inflicted with any pain? I couldn't until now. I will never go anywhere else. I wanted to share my experience at this office if everyone. My husband and I moved here from Texas and Brazil. On the look out for a new dentist we where referred by a family member that was referred by a friend and the love story began. The staff is amazing. Everyone will be eager to meet you. Before our appointment we where offered water and they made sure we were comfortable. There where no looking back for us. We where treated with respect. Dr. Adam Lee was very courteous to us. explaining all that we need to know before we started treatment. There are a few people that will stand out here. But I will leave their name out. They will get to excited But I have to hint you the work very close to the Dr. Very close.. And I won't leave behind the front desk Staff. Great smiles always. Extremely disappointed. Started in June 2018 with fillings that needed to be done. Fillings were done in June and August and I had continuous pain for 4 months afterwards until I changed dentists and got to the root of the problem. Dr Smith has been very argumentative and redid the fillings a couple times in that period due to them coming out. It's been a nightmare and so happy I found a new dentist. He did refund my money for the work done incorrectly but not sure it's worth the pain. However the office staff is very accommodating and kind. read more

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! After just recently moving to Arizona I knew it was time to have my teeth looked at as I don't go near as often as I should due to a horrible fear of dentists thanks to trauma in my childhood which I made abundantly clear to this office when I booked my appointment and when I came in. They did my cleaning and sent me home and called me back as I walked in my front door saying I needed to come back because the doctor hadn't looked at my teeth yet and they sent me home too quickly. When I returned just a few minutes later without even looking at mouth just glancing at my xrays I was told I have 15 cavities and need a root canal desperately. Mind you I have no pain at all and I knew it had been over a year sincerely I had been to a dentist but come on 3 grand worth of work?? I cried my eyes out because of how terrified of dental work I am thinking I had all this too get done. When my husband was restationed to fort drum New York I found a new dentist over a year later after this appointment with Estrella mountain and was told I only have 5 minor cavities and absolutely no need for a root canal. Not only did Estrella mountain dentistry have the absolute worst customer care and service I have ever experienced but were only interested in my insurance and money out my pocket rather than my actual health and well being. Do NOT book an appointment here and if you have I would highly recommend getting a second opinion from another dentist. Clearly I'm not the first to recommend getting a second opinion in these reviews don't waste your money here as I can almost guarantee you go to any other dentist the work you need will be significantly less. read more

Went in to this office because I received a $25 flyer for x-rays and cleaning. The staff was amazing. I met doctor and he told me I had 4 cavities and recommended my molars be removed. I try to take care of my teeth and was shocked to hear the news. I set an appointment but decided to go to a different office to get a second opinion. I was told I had no cavities and was told that if my molars weren't bothering me, to not take them out. I understand the difference of opinions and that's fine. Either way, don't be fooled by the cheap $25 service. They may try to get your money coming up with false diagnosis. If it doesn't feel right, get a second opinion!! read more

I am never excited to venture to the dentist. Throw in the fact I needed to have a tooth extracted and my excitement level diminished even further. The folks at Estrella Mountain Dentistry were absolutely wonderful and professional. I have finally found a dentist I want to go to. I would not recommend Estrella Mountain Dentistry and wish I could give 0 stars. I've been going to this dentist for two years. I'll start with agreeing with another review posted here. My out-of-pocket is always more than what I'm initially told, but that's not even the worst complaint. In my two years and thousands of dollars between my husband and I, he never caught that I had cancer on my tongue. Now, I would think by my multiple visits, between routine visits and all my visits for my tooth implant, Dr. Smith would notice the spots on my tongue. He's supposed to do a check after each cleaning, not to mention all the visits for the implant. So I guess, he's really not thoroughly checking, even though there's a charge for the dentist's exam. My other complaint is after he extracted my tooth for the implant, the tooth next to the extraction was sore and felt loose. I went back in and they took X-rays, now he said I need a root canal or another implant. There was nothing wrong with that tooth until he extracted the other tooth. He said there was an infection. He didn't prescribe any antibiotics for the infection. Now we will fast forward to today. Today that tooth with the infection was inflamed and very painful. I called the office and asked if Dr. Smith can call in a prescription for an antibiotic for the infection. Now he knows there's an infection from X-rays that were taken a while ago. No prescription was called in and I received a message from his office saying to schedule my appointment for the root canal. Obviously, again not caring that I have an infection, just wants me to book my next appointment. I called the office again at 5 pm to find out if he was going to call in a prescription and got the answering service who said someone will get back to me. It's 8:00 pm and no call back. We all know infections just don't go away on their own. So in closing, I would NEVER recommend this dental office, I think he's all about the money and not about the patient's well being. We will never be going back. By the way, CVS Minute Clinic prescribed an antibiotic, but it's a shame I couldn't get one from my dentist who knows what's going on in my mouth. read more

Being honest, it had been ten years since I saw a dentist. So I had some cleaning up to do. They were kind, patient, and gentle with me while they performed a deep cleaning. If you have never had one, they have to numb your entire mouth. Instead of just giving me shots, and getting right into digging out all the tartar and gunk. My hygienist used a numbing gel so did not feel the injections. I am not talking two or four. Try eight shots. I didn't feel a thing, and my smile is brighter already. Thank you! read more

The staff themselves were nice.....i give them 5 stars....but Dr Adam Smith was very standoffish and rude.. my appt was to get a crown.. Due to work....i wasnt able to make my appt previously and had to reschedule. And not to mention....the cost so yes i had to save money as well. So....he has to do a root canal....kinda goes with the territory in getting a crown....but maybe i pissed him off i have no idea. He did a decent job on the temporary but complained he didnt have much to work with.....well....i needed a crown....he needed to do WORK....but all in all....i didnt like how he kept walking off and then coming back and would only talk to his assistant and act like i wasn't even there.. read more
