This is the perfect place to come get a massage if you are near or around downtown DC. When you walk in the place is very inviting. They have tea, chocolate and water for you to indulge in at the waiting area. The front desk is very nice and so are the therapists. This place has a great ambiance. The rooms are dimly lit and there's relaxing music playing. All the clients were smiling when they finished their massage and got me excited for mine. I fell asleep for mine but that's how you know it was wonderful. My body feels so so much looser and majority of my pain has gone away. I received free aromatherapy and hot stones for their first time guest promotion. I can't wait to come back. I will be letting all my friends know about this place.

great experience overall. the service was very pleasant but i prefer a more modern atmosphere and the spa was a little bit more dated than my liking. Staff was very friendly just needs a bit of remodeling or refurnishing.

If you are ever in DC this the place where you should get a massage. Got a 60-minute couples massage by Dyon and he was amazing and doing gods work! My partner had Alex and felt amazing as well. You will feel extremely cared for and feel healed in pain areas that you did not even know you had. Attention is given to the areas where you request and you will feel better right away. Prices are very reasonable for the AMAZING service that you will get. It's so good that you would want to tip generously!

I am glad to say that all of the 5 star reviews turned out to be true! First, the online booking is super easy which is one of my favorite things for any business. It's located in the heart of dc but on a quiet little street. I did the aromatherapy massage with Kay and asked for medium pressure. It was perfect!! I got to choose between the different scents, and it was one of the best full body massages I've had. Will definitely be back!!

I visited Etalon Day Spa after receiving a gift card from a friend. I booked an appointment about two weeks in advance for a Monday afternoon. I arrived about 2 minutes before the start of my appointment because finding parking was quite challenging. My massage therapist Kim was great, we had to do a few adjustments before getting the pressure right but she got all the knots out and even used some techniques I haven't experienced at other spas. As a new client I got hot stones and aromatherapy oil for free. The oil didn't do much but I loved the stones. Unfortunately I wasn't able to fully relax because the room I was in was right next to the front waiting area so I heard conversations, talking and greeting new arrivals for most of the time I was in my session. I'll return in the future to use the remainder of my gift card and because I liked Kim, but I'm hoping I'm not in the first room. The waiting area is small, clean and pretty minimalistic, I wasn't offered tea or water at the end of the session.

Wow! What an amazing spa. I was greeted by a very friendly front desk receptionist and filled out where I would like my massage to focus on. The space was very clean, tranquil and filled with tea and chocolates. Immediately after, Glenda greeted me and took me to the room for my massage. Glenda did an amazing job with my massage. 90 minutes of pure bliss. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. I will be back and will share with friends. One of the best massages I've had in DC and I've been to the Mandarin..

I tried 3x for the old Roman bathhouse and had to resort to calling the main bathhouse to reserve. The lady on the line was very knowledgeable and warm. Five people reserving and 1 person reserving all get the same one room. There were 4 of us in our group and we got this room for 30 min. It is pretty small but would be fine for 2 people, I feel. The water was very hot and we did have to add cold water at intervals. It's our fault for doing this in the first week of June (weather was about 85 and sunny outside!) I can see this being a spot of refuge in the colder months! There was a tank of cold spring water for drinking. This bathhouse just had 1 bathroom that was roomy enough to change in but no other changing rooms. The receptionist and staff were very nice. I appreciated the printout with all the minerals in the water listed. That was informative and so interesting. We also additionally bought a jug to load up their mineral spring water! This was not a cheap activity but we loved the park and the attraction and history behind everything. First person is $32 and then additionally $22. There are age discounts.

I know for sure the next time we come to this area we are staying at The Country Inn Of Berkeley Springs due to it's amazing vibes, proximity to the bath houses and springs, walking distance to one of my favorite breweries, cool shops, and restaurants. We did not expect this area to have so many cool things to do and see, so the plans we had already made for that day didn't allow for us to get to enjoy much of it because if we would have known we would have taken full advantage of the spas and area in general. We did speak to two of the ladies working at the spas and they explained to us about the services they offer so the next time we are in town we will definitely be getting pampered. Enjoy this amazing little area, I know we did! Happy Travels :D

We had such a pleasant encounter with the receptionist, Nicole, from the moment we walked in and were placed with 2 masseuses who were top-tier and gifted with the art of touch. Our couples massage was beyond rejuvenating and serene for each of us and we were truly able to decompress (and leave a lot of muscle knots behind on the table)! We both left feeling SO much lighter, connected within our bodies and to each other, and grateful we accepted the offer to give Unwind another chance. I am so impressed with the level of intention and care that the owner, Antonio, has displayed in making sure that we were in the absolute best hands the second time around. He was very apologetic that we had an off day on our first visit and really turned things a total 180. It's evident that he is passionate about his business, is extremely detail-oriented (the decor is GORGEOUS!), and has strived to exceed the 5-star reputation his establishment deserves. In a world where self-care tends to be an afterthought or a treat, I'm feeling inspired to carve out time to visit Unwind Wellness on a regular basis. We hung out there from noon to 8PM, so yes, we spent most of the day there and didn't even feel the need for any spa treatments! I loved that they supplied slippers and you could walk around with slippers instead of running around barefoot to everywhere. I would have given it five stars if it weren't for some of the jets not working, the temperature in some of the pools not matching the water temperature, the sauna rooms not hot enough, and the small menu of food options. But I did love that they had a media room to relax and watch TV, have an amazing pool upstairs which was the most crowded of all the places, and different places to just relax. So I was definitely relaxed! We enjoyed the main level pool the most and I loved that they served alcohol! So we had the option for drink or two. There were no kids either! So I would say this is a perfect getaway for adults for a one day trip!

He doesn't know anything about spas or pricing, so he called over to the four seasons. All they had available was a 20 min hydrofacial (bc it's a busy day, duh). The issue is that they charged THREE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS (yes, you read that right - $375) for a 20-MINUTE hydrofacial. Aka someone rubbed lotion on my face for 13 minutes. when I inquired about this very exorbitant bill, they said - this was the price agreed upon via email, according to our dynamic pricing. (In a very rude, snide tone, with a fake smile). I called my husband who said - yes, I agreed to that, but I was told you would have access to very nice amenities for several hours. LOL! Very nice? Yes, I know the four seasons name SHOULD have very nice amenities. This locker room was so small and so crowded that I couldn't even walk 1 step without bumping into someone. The person giving us a tour kept apologizing for how messy it was ("sorry, it's a really busy weekend for us") - no towels out, etc. there is a small hot tub - sorry, that's not exactly novel. There are two lounging areas. One with three chairs that look out onto... nothing, just a window with frosted glass that you can't see through. Six lounging chairs, and one small table outside that does have a nice view. (This is the only view in the entire spa). They have a small sauna room also. Nothing out of the ordinary, and not up to expectations for what is supposed to be a four seasons spa. On top of that, every single person in that spa was sitting/lying scrolling on their phones. In what world are phones allowed in a spa, let alone in a "clothing optional" hot tub room??! So I paid four hundred dollars for 13 mins of a facial massage (which WAS nice) and then sat outside at a random table for an hour. left quickly because there wasn't anything else to do to kill time. I just cannot believe that a place can charge that much for a service. Totally inappropriate, waste of money, do not recommend.

My favorite part is the vitality pool, heated stone chairs, sauna, and lounge. It was great to relax with those amenities. Everything was extremely clean. The vitality pool/sauna area is separated by gender and clothing optional. However, phones are allowed, and while it is fine to have one in a robe pocket, phones should not be out when others are around, especially in an area like that. But that is allowed, so be wary. Our massages were fine, but nothing we would rush back to or pay for again. I'd want to try a body scrub or wrap, my typical spa service. I'd also love to visit in warmer weather and use the outdoor pool. I am very much looking forward to returning.

The bade pool has always been one of my favorite parts of Spa World and is normally around 95-98°F, a comfortable temperature for soaking before a Korean body scrub. Today it was hovering between 102-103°F--essentially hot-tub temperature. Even the kiddie pool was too hot. In the middle of a D.C.-area heat wave, who wants to come inside from 90+ degree weather and soak in 102-degree water? On a Sunday, the usually busy bade pool was practically empty, with people instead hovering around the ice plunge because there really wasn't a comfortable-temperature pool to use. I let the attendant know and another staff member. No change. This is especially frustrating because you're supposed to soak for about 30 minutes before a body scrub to soften the skin. I couldn't comfortably do that and had to use the showers instead. Management showed no interest in adjusting the pool temperature or otherwise addressing the problem. I was still paying the now-$150 price for my 50-minute spa special scrub. I simply asked that they refund my $25 admission because the primary facility I came to use was essentially unusable. The manager looked at me like my request was ridiculous and refused and insisted the temperature of the main pool fluctuates. (Of course it does, but NOT THAT HOT!) After more than 15 years as a loyal customer, it's astonishing that Spa World would rather lose me as a customer than address the problem or refund $25. I won't be back.
