Brett and his staff are very personable, professional, and accommodating. We have never been…read morepressured into signing up for anything. My daughters are 10 and 12 and enjoy taking the classes and regularly auditioning for visiting agents. They have extremely busy extra curricular activity schedules, which often conflict with each other. However, Brett has been very flexible about allowing them to make up missed classes. Our older daughter was signed by a New York agent and has had numerous auditions and call backs. She has appeared on a magazine cover, and had a non speaking movie role. What they are really gaining out of the association with Open Call is; confidence, self esteem, learning how to present themselves, understanding rejection, time management skills, self evaluation, negotiation and organizational skills, increased reading speed and better comprehension so they can quickly analyze and memorize dialog and scripts. Most recently they have started to be more fashionable and finding their individual sense of style. They are enjoying expressing their creativity with clothes and different looks. My husband and I think both our girls are very talented and photogenic. What parent doesn't? However, we are realistic. Everything in life requires training, exposure, some luck, solid work experience, and hard work on your part to promote/market yourself as well. Most of all REALISTIC expectations and self knowledge. We are happy with how Open Call manages their office and what they have to offer. Most importantly, our girls enjoy the classes, like their instructors and the staff. They are more confident and comfortable performing on stage and presenting themselves in public. I have recommended Open Call Talent Management to my friends and family.

This place is a scam. Most major production companies that I've actually met with have no idea that…read moreBoston casting even offers acting classes, and if they do contact you for background extra work they're sure going to lie to you jerk you around get you to take off work and then cancel reschedule and never call you back. This place is a joke. For everyone involved. All they want you to do is pay for their internet damn page and then never get you work. Don't waste your time I've been part of this casting agency for 25 years and it's been nothing but a run around and a hemorrhage of money to people who do not deserve it who aren't there and not professional.

I LOVE Boston Casting! They are for sure an Casting agency who cares about their actors , everyone…read morein the offices are so nice and treat you with the upmost respect , it doesn't matter if you're calling to ask questions , sending an email , taking a class or auditioning you get treated with so much respect and I do appreciate that. They have a lot of opportunities for everyone you just have to stay on top of your game if acting is really what you want to do. Make sure you sign up for their emailing list and they have a site called agencypro which is a database they also use for talent, it's super useful you can use the free one or pay for it ( paying for it has it perks trust me I know , it's worked out for me ). They provide an array of classes , all throughout the year. They have classes for kids , teens and adults check it out. They don't just provide one class they have numerous ones at numerous times which is very helpful when you can't make one you make another. Jenna and Ann hold classes as well as others but I have taken classes with them and they're AH-MAZ-ZING! I enjoy the classes I learn so much , and I indeed do see a difference in my acting after the classes , you also meet great people who later become your friends and co-workers. Angela the mastermind is great. She's such a busy lady but she for sure makes time to say hello when she sees you around , she always has your best interest at heart. And she knows her stuff , and knows it's well. I love being apart of Boston Casting and I'm so glad I've gotten all the opportunities I got so far from them and I can't wait to continue with the opportunities and see what the future holds.

I was not a good customer on this service. So I give myself a 1 star as well…read more But I did not expect someone from this company to then reach out to my friend. To then make their client reach out to me to tell me I made a bad call. I believe if someone messes up, you should be courageous enough to call them back. Instead of getting one of your clients to call someone who called you. I'm not even sure what I said. It was something to the effect of 'Hey I've got something you should TOTALLY get involved in, you'd be stupid to miss this.' I give myself a .5 out of 5 stars for delivery. But Honestly, guys, do your own work. Don't make your clients do it for you. You guys are lazy. If you want to talk trash, go for it. Just be up front. Call me. Don't make YOUR CLIENT call me FOR YOU. Very lazy, very unprofessional, extraordinarily rude to everyone involved. AND because of this you've created a rift between me and my friend. Create a boundary. Be professional. So in general, Eff Off.

Andrew and his team know the ins and outs of the entertainment industry, not only with the precision, experience and connections on the local level, but with a global perspective that is unmatched by any other agency I've worked with. So far so good. I am just talking about the baby modeling devision. There is a one time cost of…read more$165. That covers ALL the marketing they do to all of their extensive clientele. In addition to the one time fee, which basically covers your baby until they reach the age where they might enter the "kids" devision (around 2 1/2 or 3... depending on the kid...) there is only the cost of providing six, 8.5x10 inch photos. You are welcome to take those yourself. Do not have to pay a professional. And in fact you can take some and the lovely staff who helps candidates will let you know before you even go to the cost of oh, say, CVS pharmacy printing out the 6 required photos, if they are "right" for a main head shot. Speaking of lovely staff... my husband and I were very skeptical. But Teagan Favorite (yes that's her real name) took the time to belay our fears and explain everything to us. We were never made to feel like she didn't have the time of day for us, even as busy as she must be. She spent about 15 minutes on the phone with me explaining things in detail. Granted, we are new to doing business with them, and I will update if things go sour, but as of right now we are both impressed. We are sure there are some candidates out there who have had negative experiences, but we can't help but feel like, this, like many other things in life, is a risk. The modeling agency cannot guarantee your child will work. All they can do is present the options to their clients and let them choose. They can't shove your kid down their clientele's throats. It is all dependent on what the company is looking for at the time at the whim of their marketing department. It might not even have anything to do with whether your kid is cute or not! So much is dependent upon demographics. Maybe Monday a company will need a Latino looking child for a shot. Then Tuesday a Caucasian and Wednesday an African American. It is all about timing and the client's needs. I can't help but think those people that have reviewed this company negatively may have gambled (as everyone does in this business) and lost. But you can't say that this extremely professional company has not done right by you. Because all they do is present your child in the best light possible and then the COMPANY picks. If you are angry at anybody, go yell at the marketing departments of companies for not picking your kid. And no, I don't work for Dynasty Models with this fantastic review.
