Few months ago, our brand new table had two drops of clear liquid on top of it. Using water and a soft cloth, I attempted to clear off the droplets. THE PAINT CAME OFF. After several months of back and forth, we finally settled on having them PAINT the area. But now, I'm afraid to clean any dried drops on the table. I thought the furniture was stained, not painted. I ordered a 10x14 rug from the San Antonio location. The carpet is shedding the pile excessively. I contacted the store and they said it was a manufacturer defect. They were given full credit for the rug and gave me 25% off my original purchase price. The carpet is still shedding and they told me they would replace it. I've had to call and follow up several times-after months, still no resolution. Because of my experience I requested to keep the discount,which after several contacts, I was told I could have an in store credit. With the service I received, I'm hesitant to purchase anything else here. read more

They don't carry wool comforters at the store, but they will order it for me and give me a call when it comes in. Overall a fairly painless process. read more

We purchased furniture previously from Ethan Allen stores in other states. We recently ordered furniture from the San Antonio store, and we have been deeply disappointed by their service at all levels. From floor sales people (specifically, Donald) to delivery people (spcecifically, Lisa), they seem to go out of their way to treat the customers as if they are interrupting their day. We have either been ignored or treated with disdain. We quickly learned that they did not want our business. So we did most of our purchasing just down the road at John Williams. At John Williams, Easton and Judy have bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. We'll never bother Ethan Allen again. read more

My Husband and I moved to San Antonio, Texas from another state. We sold most of our furniture and went shopping to fill up our new home. We found we liked a lot at Ethan Allen and began working with a designer. She placed our order for us but left the company before anything was delivered. We were assigned a new designer, Cristina Doty, who has been amazing from the moment I met her. Unfortunately, our previous designer had made many ordering mistakes. Ms. Doty has helped correct all the issues and even made some additional design suggestions that we love! She's earned a customer for life! Our furniture is beautiful and great quality! The worst customer service, follow-up by Marnie and receiving what we ordered I have ever experienced!. Back in July, 2017, we placed an order for drapes for the entire house and we are still living with temporary paper shades that are worn out that are a sour to the eyes. My husband and I moved to a new home several years ago and had Ethan Allan help us with window treatments. The young girl that was supposed to be a trained interior designer came to our new home to measure for plantation shutters and draperies. She miss calculated the measurements and when the installation was to be done the installer informed us that the measurements were incorrect and they would have to have someone make a second measurement. The shutters had to be remade and finally installed correctly. The draperies were mistakenly measured and would have to be adjusted. The drapes should have been remade, but instead they just installed them with each panel being uneven and when closed appeared to be corrected. I had the store manager come out to our home twice and he refused to replace the drapes. His only offer was to add fringe to the drapes as some sort of consolation. I refused that offer and asked again to have them replaced as the shutters had been replaced to make them correct, but he refused. After this experience, I would warn anyone not to allow Ethan Allen to order or install any window coverings. They do not stand behind their work for custom orders. read more

But when a Groupon came around, I figured I could probably get a mirror or lamp at a good discount so I bought it. Wow, I was quite surprised by the fantastic selection of modern furniture Ethan Allen has! AND the saleslady (Veda Stone) we worked with was not pushy at all! This business deserves no stars for customer service or efficiency. I ordered an expensive accent table online 7/30/2013. I understood it was expected to ship in 5 weeks. Despite emails and calls, as of January 8, 2014, I still do not have the table nor has anyone advised me of any problems or contacted me! Did I mention I paid in full on 7/30/2013. So today I called their national client service number and learned someone has "followed" the order but clearly, with no quality of service. Incompetence? Uncaring? Amazing! I cancelled my order and requested a full refund. The telephone rep was very nice and seemed efficient, so hopefully, my refund WILL actually process. I cannot imagine the problems one might encounter actually ordering a lot of furniture! read more

I purchased a large hutch, table, and 8 chairs from this store. They ordered the wrong chairs. Pieces of furniture trickled in and after 6 MONTHS I received the last 2 chairs.
