I am so fortunate to live in a city with this particular business. It's not just a boutique or a spa. It's a healing center. Julia's facials are next level. My skin has steadily improved and some spots have totally faded. She is also perfectly happy to keep my surgical scar clean and free from blackheads and other gross things that can grow where I can't see. My good friend got me the deluxe spa package which gave me a 90 minute massage with Monica and a 90 minute facial with Julia. Holy crap I needed that and they were fabulous. Monica has a special way of getting out the crazy stress and running knots by making it hurt so good. You'd never guess she has that kind of power behind her when you meet her. Her room is relaxing, and she took plenty of time in the beginning to identify what kind of massage I wanted, then she gave me exactly that. Julia is not only fun to be around, but she is an expert in skin care and waxing. Her bed she uses is like a bed made for a king or queen. She immediately made me feel comfortable and my skin is so soft and glowing (this was my first facial so I was a little nervous). Every visit here has been wonderful. You will not be disappointed. I see Heidi for my skincare - waxing services and facials. She is always personable and professional. In the past, with other spas, I've had to go over a waxed area later at home with a pair of tweezers to catch what they've missed. Heidi is so thorough that I've never had to do this. I received a classic facial and, I swear, it was the best I have ever received. I can't really put into words why it was so great, it just was. Heidi is not only and expert esthetician she is also a natural-born HEALER. I am in love with her and so are many of my friends and family. I see Heidi for waxing and, more importantly to me, facials. I have had acne-prone skin for many years of my adult life. A condition that is painful on a multitude of levels and a place of vulnerability. A friend suggested several years ago that I see Heidi for help with my skin. Having her as an ally on my journey to clearer skin has been so wonderful. I feel like she is fully present during my treatments and really cares about the outcome. She practices with empathy, humor, calm, and intelligence. We have worked out a plan that has been successful and makes me much more content with my skin on a daily basis. Now see her twice a month for maintenance and peels -- something I really look forward to! As for the waxing -- she makes a very painful process totally bearable while doing an impeccable job! Theresa is amazing. I was going to her for energy healing massages fairly regularly before I moved out of state. She is incredibly kind and intuitive. Before heading over to Villa Villa Kula to get my hair done I wanted to complete this wonderous beauty time and have the hair over my eyes shaped up. This spa is right across from the salon. How perfect can you get. Usually I get them done right in front of all the shoppers in the middle of a department store. This was a nice, cozy, warm room with only Julia. I got to lay down and relax while she did her magic. She was gentle, quick and thorough. This also included a little peach fuzz I had accumulated over time. You cannot really see it but I still knew it was there. I also told her I don't have a lot of eyebrow hair these days but some of it was that see through color? She suggested tint which I've never had before. I said sure. And finally the best part of all. It was inexpensive. I expected to pay more since I got them tinted. I think if I were in the midst of all those shoppers getting it done it would have cost me twice what I paid. Shoppers you don't get to watch me anymore. I'm going here from now on. read more

I have been seeing Julia, esthetician and owner of Ethereal, every month for a year and a half. I simply cannot day enough good things about her and her spa! Not only is she kind, caring, friendly, and professional, but she has helped to create a custom skincare routine for me that has completely revamped my skin. I leave every appointment with my skin feeling unbelievably soft and dewy. I have combo skin, and with Julia's help, my hormonal adult acne is now totally under control, and my pores are so much smaller. The facial package includes several mud and mineral masks, exfoliation, steam treatment, refining toner, extractions (if needed), and luscious moisturizer. It also includes a foot/calf, hand/arm, and scalp massage -- pure heaven! Julia's room used to be in the front of the building but is now in the back, and both spaces are spotlessly clean and soothing, with gentle lighting and soft spa music. Getting a facial from Julia is something I look forward to every month, and I cannot recommend her enough. She is easily one of the most in-demand estheticians on the East Side, so if you're lucky enough to snag an appointment, make sure you keep it! read more

I have had a lot of massages, and the best I've ever gotten, by far, is from Sarah Miscoe at Ethereal Day Spa. Her massages are either an hour and 15 minutes or an hour and 45 minutes. I always get the 1:45, which I believe is $90 (great price!), because I have neck and lower back issues. It is an extremely thorough massage that actually makes me feel better, not just relaxed. I always leave thinking I really should treat myself more often! read more
