A cute little coffee shop below a studio space. We happen to see this shop as we were walking from a studio photoshoot and wanted to get something to drink. My fiance got an espresso and I got a fruity iced tea. He said his espresso was perfect, nicely bitter, sour and had the crema on top. My fruity iced tea tasted like a hibiscus tea that was iced, which was really good. We also got a cookie each, one chocolate chip and one oatmeal. The oatmeal was a mix of sweet and nutty, while the chocolate chip was salty but sweet. The people working there cared about the quality they were putting out because they remade the espresso a few times until it was the quality they wanted. Loved this little shop!

Literally down the street from the MOMA. No parking in/around the immediate area.

Torn! Beautiful setting, SUPER friendly guy at cash - I don't think he was the barista too. On the downside, pastries were kept in a 3/4 display case on the side of the cash and there were soo many flies inside. When I finally bit into my croissant, it was as expected...DRY. Apparently, fresh pastries are delivered each morning from Blackbird, but I think they should close up the case if they have a problem with flies. And more importantly, keep the integrity of the baked goods. I grabbed an Americano to-go (from Burundi), and tbh, it didn't taste all that fresh...to me. This was my experience later on in the day, so I'm sure it would be loads better in the AM. It's literally down the street from the MOCA and they're doing some major construction on the street, so there's no immediate street parking. It was ok for me to temporarily park in front of the café to grab my items tho!

Ethica Coffee Roasters, a small coffee shop and roastery, located on Sterling near MOCA, specializes in single origin specialty coffees. They are located about a 10 min walk from the closest subway station (Lansdowne) as well as have parking close by. They roast their coffees on site and offer a wide variety of beverages and beans for purchase as well. Due to the pandemic restrictions, Ethica is takeout only with mask wearing and social distancing enforced throughout the cafe space. There are also a variety of coffee and other goods for purchase as well. I stopped by Ethica Coffee Roasters on a Tuesday late morning. During my time there, there was a steady flow of customers. Service was friendly and efficient. I liked how you had a choice between two different roasts, which is much appreciated. I opted for the beans from Ethiopia and had an iced americano. The drink was made well. I also noticed they had some cookies and pastries for sale. Overall, friendly staff, great drinks, and a warm environment. Would love to return to the cafe once dine is available again!

If you're a coffee purist, Ethica Coffee Roasters should be high on your list of places to get a caffeinated pick-me-up or a supply of beans. Located on Sterling Road near the Museum of Contemporary Art, this shop is equal parts industrial and artsy - with soaring ceilings, exposed bricks, and local art displayed on its expansive walls. Two origins are usually on offer, and the Ethiopian beans I tried had subtle notes of honey, making it the perfect choice for a frothy latte. The team of baristas are incredibly skilled, pulling good shots and making their patrons smile with small talk and latte art. Peep their shop for beans and other unique merchandise as well. An absolute must-try.

Cutest coffee shop with the friendliest and patient staff! You get to select which bean you would like for your latte. Will def come again if I'm in the area - super close to MOCA which I hope to visit once it's open again. Be sure to give Ethica coffee a try! :)

What a pleasant shop in the middle of nowhere. Not really, it is right across the street from the Toronto Museum of Contemporary Art. It really is not easy to access though; we were on bikes so it was no problem. You can feel immediately upon entering that it is probably a quality place. It has that vibe. It is very welcoming and pleasant inside, with an atmosphere that makes you want to linger. We had an espresso and ice tea. Excellent. And the staff was very friendly.

Great addition to a new(er) area of Toronto; STERLING JUNCTION.. contemporary museum, a rail path, brewery... coming along nicely. Tried a Brazilian flat white: excellent. Great staff, incredible revamped space. A+

I really liked the place where this cafe is located, an industrial area of the city with a new face, the interior decoration, how spacious and how good it feels, as well as the variety and how fresh each cup of coffee tastes, good service and the decoration make it different from other cafes in the city, it also has wheelchair access, bathrooms inside and a large parking area

We got a matcha latte with oat milk, cappuccino, and the breakfast sandwich w smoked salmon (forgot the name). Matcha latte was great, I loved that they clarified whether I wanted sweetened or unsweetened. Sometimes cafes serve them sweetened without me realizing. It's not super crazy high quality but it's definitely better than most cafes. I only had a sip of the cappuccino but I could tell my mom didn't love it. It's just on the fruitier side so it tasted more sour and not creamy/smooth (which is what my mom prefers). Depends on your preference. She really liked the latte art though and didn't want to ruin it by drinking it! The sandwich was big and delicious. There's a hint of dill flavor which paired well with the salmon. I could tell my mom liked it. The cafe itself has a few tables and high top counter seating, as well as seating outside. There's two restrooms in the back. They seem to bake everything in house and it smelled wonderful as they brought stuff out the oven. Loved the all female staff!

This beautiful spot also boasts some great baristas with so much bean knowledge--ask them anything! Always a great time to chat. I have been here a few times and this time, actually stayed for a few hours to get some work done. Located in the industrial part of the Junction the space presents itself industrial but filled with warmths. When you walk in, you will see immediately a long coffee bar with various coffee machines for your pour overs, cappuchinos, espresso etc. At the far back, giant machines (roasting things perhaps), workspace for the techs (I think) and a beautiful graffiti art on the back wall. The main seating area comprises of high bar stools, a few desks area with sockets and roman theatre style steps with some tables that you can work from (also with sockets) or just chat away. There is a section in the shop that is a retain space with all the beans you can buy to go and various coffee related pieces. Commute wise, it is not the easiest but it is steps away from St. Clair/Keele. Definitely worth checking out--their coffee is so so so good! Drivers, street side parking available :D

I was told in their "chat" that it would arrive on Wednesday (two days later) and, if not, on Thursday. Just received an email from them saying it will arrive on Monday, a full week after I ordered. When I asked what the $10.41 was for if it takes a week to receive, I was told about their process and that "we have this stated in multiple places, including the banner of our home page and every product page". That doesn't explain why I was told something different in "chat". Their coffee is good but not $82.26 and a one-week delivery good.
