I rarely give the 5 stars, Pop deserves it. They give their espresso the special treatment it deserves, serving with bubbly water. It's a kind of hidden location. Easy to pass by without finding it. They have patio space. Location fits about 30 people, although it was empty when I visited. Blazing fast WiFi tested at 233/50. Electric power outlets all over the place. There is a room on the south side which isn't obvious when you first come in. The vibe is mixed industrial, classic flooring, luscious plants, wall art, and some funky touches. With the Ryerson residence next door and the student condos going up, this cafe will be getting super busy and popular.

I love when new micro coffee roasters pop onto my radar... pun not intended but it works. This one comes from GTA West but has set up shop in the central east side of downtown Toronto. It's an unassuming spot as the street isn't known for food or coffees. It's kinda a non-descript generic office and old condo spot. When you walk in, there's a lot of space and they have made it a great place. It's not your traditional industrial loft atmosphere, it has a bit of personality. With an edgy graffiti wall and an alcove off to the side, you have a lot of great spots to sit down and enjoy your cup. The large windows let in a lot of light so you're feeling in a nice open space. Service here is really nice... very attentive and careful to do a good cup. They use their own beans and the barista was explaining that it was a bit fruit forward and adventurous but not too much for Toronto. They also had a lot of other options for drinks if coffee isnt your thing. I like how they're stocking Loop which is a Montreal based juice that uses only 'ugly' fruit and not allowing them to go to waste. They also taste amazing. Flat White - True to the barista words, this was definitely more tea like anf fruit forward than traditional beans. It's not too foreign to any coffee drinker but I can see this being 'different' to most people. It has a bit of acidity to it ... not too acidic but it's definitely there. I did find the pour quite good. Is it my favourite bean... no but it's definitely one of the better options I've tasted coming out of the newer micro roasters in Toronto. That makes me happy! 4/5 Overall, great little spot if you're in the area. It's not quite the destination spot yet but I would definitely take the trek of 10 minutes to head here if I'm in the area.

A great little place to escape the hustle of downtown great music, lovely atmosphere and ample tables. They roast their own coffee and have a wide selection of unique drinks Try the Espresso Tonic and their amazing cold brew with a undertone of blueberrys

This coffee shop is nestled semi-behind a pillar beside the lobby of the Intercontinental hotel Toronto, which adds to its charm for me, in a way. Love finding a good "hole in the wall" :) I love the bright, feminine, beachy decor and coral pink & aqua blue accents. It's not too tropical, but it definitely transports you outside of Canada. Coupled with Aussie staples like vegemite and Noosa magazines (takes me straight back there!), as well as gorgeous ceramic coffee mugs for purchase, the vibes are great here. While it is a smaller shop, there is enough seating for 3 tables, and it's very cozy. Had to go for a flat white, given the Aussie homage here. This one got my approval (and I'm picky about my flat whites) - they used a lighter, more balanced espresso roast, paired with just the right amount of creamy frothed milk. They also had a banana bread latte that my companion really enjoyed too! Looking forward to my next visit!

Super cute little coffee shop located in the lobby of the InterContinental…read more Everything here is Instagram worthy and on brand. It's a tiny, cozy place with only a couple tables and tall chairs, so they can really only accommodate grab-and-go orders, other than a few people to sit or work. Perfect for a coffee before a Jays game or if you're here for a conference next door. I realized it was already late fall and I hadn't yet had my one and only PSL of the year, so that's what I ordered. It was decent as far as PSL's go and came with a lovely little foam pumpkin on top. Tres adorbs. The iced strawberry matcha latte also looked incredible and I had order envy. My friend ordered a pastry and said it was delicious. They also have a great little selection of food items, canned bevvies, coffee beans, teas, as well as souvenir gifts for purchase such as ceramic mugs. Did I mention the coffee was really good?
