Warranty repair which Ethos used a delay technique to not support customer repair request by the dealer. Ethos would n9t return phone calls or email from dealership, leaving customer who possesses 4 different Warranty products from Ethos to pay over $400 for an overheating issue that Ethos initially said was covered. This is going on Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, Stack, BBB Report, LinkedIn and all my contacts concerning how bad the lack of service has been in my experience with them. read more

Horrible to do business with. Gave me the run around for months not wanting to pay out the total loss claim. Unprofessional, children crying in the background on phone calls, mumbled unclear voices each time having to ask them to repeat themselves. Never giving complete information, getting more information with each new phone call instead of giving complete concise instruction the first time. I hope I never have to use them again! read more

Received their gap insurance through Honda when buying a new vehicle. Got it totaled a year later after being year ended. This company does everything in their power to stall payment, and refuses to pay the full gap if you received other warranty service when buying a car. If you research their company reviews, there's so many complaints for the same reasoning. Don't waste your money or your time. read more

Leaving another review because I can't reply back to the comment left on my previous review ... was told they would look into my case and never heard anything :) horrible company. On my purchase documents it says they would be covering 150%... and they refused to even pay off the remainder. Leaving me with a balance that I had to pay out of pocket AND I was never reimbursed for my payments that I continued to make after the total loss. HORRIBLE company, would not recommend to my worst enemy. :) read more

I have been on the phone for nearly two hours, trying to get roadside assistance. The service reps (on my 2nd one now) are s-l-o-w-l-y taking info; acting as though they can help, and then voila! They've got more questions. The first rep needed info I didn't have on me, so he offered to call back in 10 minutes so I could call for the info. He never did. The second rep isn't happy with that info, and has spent about 30 minutes just trying to find out where my car is--in this day and age, a roadside assistance service company would not have a working GPS function. That's a travesty. Plus, I gave him a specific address. Maybe they should invest in key maps. I'm giving Honda an earful about this, and will seek reimbursement for the contract. UPDATE: After I asked for a supervisor, they suddenly were able to locate my address. (Maybe it's on my end: I saw this review has my address as San Francisco, not Houston, TX, where I and my car actually are! No wonder I can't find local restaurants on Yelp....) That was written playfully, but it has been a pain working with Ethos's roadside assistance. It might be based in another country, which could help explain why the reps ask about 5 backup questions for each question.) read more

Just purchased a car and bought the extended warranty from this company. Had a couple issues and was told none of it was covered. Why did I pay for a warranty if nothing is covered??? When my wife purchased her car they got her into 3 warranties that I was not present during this. However. The representatives I worked with through this company that helped me on the policies she got and what I can do, and now able to get a few minor repairs done, I am not entirely upset with the purchase. Although the repairs themselves are cheaper than what she paid for, they did help me with being reimbursed for one of the policies and honestly it's been easy to work with this company. I do not have a sour taste at all in regards to these warranties because of how easy they have made everything. read more

Just wanted to leave my experience as a review. I had a flat tire last month and totally forgot I had purchased the extra insurance from the dealership. I paid for the new tire myself and then remembered later. I called the dealership and they told me not to worry about it that Ethos Group was great and to give them a call and they would reimburse me. I called the number they gave me and they sent me a check for what I paid for the repair. Couldn't be happier with the service! read more

I purchased Gap insurance through Ethos Group when bought my new vehicle at Freeman Mazda. My car was totalled out by my insurance on September 22, 2018, and after reviewing my claim Liberty Mutual cut a check to my finance company paying off their portion of my car. I have been getting the run around since October 18, trying to get Ethos Group to pay off the remaining balance. I keep on being told the file is under review and they will have a decision made in 10 business days. It is now November 28, 2018 and they still haven''t paid of their portion of the vehicle. I don't know what needs to be reviewed when my insurance company totalled out the car. I highly recommend you stay away from this company when purchasing Gap insurance. read more

I was dreading dealing with getting the AC repaired for a 2nd time after Ethos already paid a ton to fix it a few weeks ago. They did need to send an independent inspector out this time, which I completely understand, but because that makes it take longer they are paying for a rental car for me. Best part is that they make it all super easy. No red tape and hassle free experience.
