We searched the web for a nearby music school and came across ProMusic Plus in Weston. However, the excitement diminished into hurt this past Friday, five minutes into the lesson my son started complaining that he wasn't feeling well and wanted to go home. The manager/owner said sorry he is not well, but I already paid the instructor for the 30 minutes and will not be able to refund or reschedule his lesson. When she realized I wasn't backing down from this unfair policy, she said I don't want any trouble so I will refund you 1/2 for the session. She missed the point entirely! This customer service experience was hurtful and disappointing as I felt like she wasn't sympathetic to the fact that my son wasn't well, instead she was annoyed that she was losing money for the session. As a fellow business owner, I know how vital it is to provide a fantastic customer experience to all customers. Sadly, the owner of ProMusic Plus doesn't feel the same.

They NEVER have time to do make up sessions (because they are short in personnel) so when your kids get sick and don't come to class they will never schedule your make up session that you ALREADY paid for. The receptionists are not kind! (Watch out for Isabella)! They say "their policy states that make up sessions are every 6 weeks" so, if your kid gets sick or injured in a sport and can't make it to class, you better plan to just lose your money because they won't refund you, nor reschedule a class that you already paid. Maybe the people in Davie already knew how sketchy this academy is, because their academy closed over there, maybe for lack of students! If they did to them what they did to me, now I understand why no one would go there, he se having to close their business. We ended up loosing about $200 dollars in all but, save yourselves the headache of dealing with sketchy people and pay a little more to have your children in a more reputable music school! Unfortunately the schedule changed and we had to switch instructors. Second instructor was good but my daughter somehow didn't want to practice at home, a necessary deal with piano. We decided to switch back to Ms Liliam this time doing Voice, and was my daughter ecstatic! Not only is Ms. Liliam a talented instructor, but she is super patient, sweet and simply amazing with my daughter. My daughter looks forward to her lesson every Saturday. The staff are nice as well... polite and knowledgeable. Only drawback for me is the difficultly with the scheduling. Instructor slots book up really fast (clearly this school is going places and is in demand), so you may have to settle for a time that is not really the best for you. This is understandable though as most, if not all the instructors are part time. Many of them are furthering their music education at the same time. They have informed me that they are trying to open up more time slots so hopefully that will happen soon. But all in all, I'm quite happy with this school.
