Brunch was soooo good at Ethyl! The waffle fries were seasoned well and the French toast was amazing!! The caramel latte was very sweet, so we had to get extra coffee to cut the drink. The food came out pretty quick but it took a while to get the check on a busy Saturday morning. Definitely worth the visit and get the French toast!!

Great place! We were going to a show at the Newport and this was on our list to try. It was super convenient. Can't get much closer to the Newport than they are. We went in on a Saturday. The waiter told us they were on happy hour til 7pm. That's amazing! Happy Hour everyday! They had lots of beers and lots of interesting drinks to choose from. The menu looked great. We got the tank nachos to start. Yum. They were loaded with toppings and the chips were warm and crispy. I would definitely get those again. I got yhe tank Mac n Cheese. It wasn't amazing but it wAs really good. Surprisingly we had 5 people and we all ordered something different. My husband got aa chicken sandwich. Loved it. The drinks were good too. They had $3 white claws on Saturdays so that was the best deal. The Elderberry Mule was good too. Those are $6 during happy hour. We will definitely go back.

My friends and I went here after our last final to celebrate and I had a good time. This bar is off of North High so parking could be tricky. Street parking or a garage would be the best option. When we first walked in, we noticed that the floors were sticky and it smelled interesting, but it was kinda understandable because it is a bar. I got the Crispy Chicken sandwich and it was good. The sandwich was made well. The chicken was good and everything went well together. The fries were thin cut and delicious! I got a mimosa tank and it was good. I just wish it was colder. I would go back to eat there again if it was suggested!

I've only been here for brunch, but let me just say that the food is everything I've needed and more on a Sunday after a night out! We got the Buffalo Chicken Breakfast Nachos and these yummy Oreo pancakes! It is an absurd amount of food for the price and it unbelievably delicious! Nachos were $12 and literally twice the size of my head and pancakes were $15. I think the pancakes were a little pricier compared to other menu items, but they were pretty big and delicious! The place wasn't too packed when we went on Sunday and our service was quick! I will definitely be coming back for some yummy brunch eats and excited to try their regular menu too!

Loved it. Great OSU hangout. Good happy hour prices. The Philly cheesesteak was good, They charge extra if you get a side other than the shoestring fries. I'm going back to try the crispy chicken sandwich.

They offer a variety of drinks and food items, which you can enjoy while playing games. You can order at the bar or through the wait staff that comes around to take orders. The drinks were very festive, like the golden dragon, which had shimmering edible glitter in it, and the bunny shot, which was served in a chocolate bunny. I got to try lots of boardgames like 3D blockus, hues and cues, and attempted to play wingspan (although we didn't get to it because it's a long game!) They even had a stage area, which would be great for performances. Will be back to enjoy their food next time! The only thing to note is that their parking is limited and most of the surrounding lots have tow warning signs on them so carpooling would be good if you're going with a big group!

My friend was obviously shaken up and when we asked the owner about it. We were met with aggressiveness and a lack of empathy regarding the matter. There was no genuine apology offered when the situation was witnessed. And when we asked to speak with her she approached us with irritation. And let us know she's not sure what else she wants us to do because she already comped her drinks. When I proceeded to ask if she was okay with said behavior from this man, she aggressively responded and continued to show a lack patience or empathy. She was very aware of the matter because her bartender requested for something to be comped, but failed to acknowledge the concern as a business owner directly to her customers. As if we didn't experience something personally violating and traumatic, while she was only a few feet away. And also was seen engaging with said man; prior to allegedly requesting them to leave. I'm deeply disappointed in my experience and I would not recommend any business here.

Between the excellent beer selection, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere, this is definitely a brewery I'd recommend to anyone visiting the area. Looking forward to stopping back again!

It's so creative, and the drinks are really the stellar stand out here. However, the atmosphere of those drinks is what gives me pause when thinking about coming back. The limited table situation, tiny cramped space, and loud music means that it doesn't feel particularly relaxing. People are constantly brushing up against you (even at 5PM), and holding a conversation at a normal distance is nearly impossible. NOTE: This place is covered in dust. No shade to the ownership as it doesn't appear to be anywhere near food prep areas (it's on the decor, on/around shelving, all over the faux plants, etc.), but if you're someone who's sensitive to dust, this is probably not a good fit. PROS: -I loooooooove how they've done their drink menu. As someone who is still exploring the potential of cocktails, their nerdy "chart" that places all of their drinks on a sweet/bitter and alcohol-forward/approachable visual chart is SUCH a help. As such, everything I ordered was absolutely amazing for me. I knew exactly what to expect from a drink because of its position on the chart, and it delivered. -Their drinks are really unique. Aqua faba? Fat washed alcohols? Lollipops or toasted marshmallows as garnishes? Super cool. Don't let some of the weirder descriptions creep you out of trying them. -All of their drinks were delicious. Everything I ordered was exactly as described. I often go places where the taste is barely related to its namesake, but they were entirely on-point here. CONS: -I'm not sure if someone called off that night as other reviewers are in love with the service, but our service was really really slow. No real rapport with the staff; just stating the name of a drink as they rushed past and then they were off to try to clean a table or take someone else's order. The drinks they made were great, but this isn't somewhere we'd go if we were in a hurry. -The pictures do not accurately convey how small this place is. Like, it's small. I'd guess less than 1000 square feet. My apartment is bigger by a lot. This isn't necessarily an issue, but it means people pile up quickly as they wait for seating (there's like 4/5 tables and then bar seating). The human walkways are small enough that the bartenders and other guests will brush against you a lot - even while seated. -I get the vibe they were going for here, but with the smaller space, I think a lot of the potential decor options had to "go" in order to fit more humans. It's giving me hardcore The Hearth Room (in Cincinnati) vibes, and I think it could honestly pull it off if it simply had more space. The "relaxed, sophisticated bourbon bar" doesn't quite come through as well when things are so focused on simply fitting in more bodies. -It's loud AF. Like, really, really loud. Between all the people and the blasting pop music, it required leaning into someone's ear in order to speak at normal volumes. We'd regularly have to pause the conversation if something in the music was building to a drop. This is not a place I'd take someone I wasn't very very comfortable with because it really requires being in someone's space to talk. -There's a single all-gender toilet here for everyone in the establishment. It's basically a revolving door of people in and out of it. The door auto-closes, however, so it's really difficult to figure out if it's open or not. There was usually a queue of people waiting in front of the door.
