Love what they're doing to get young people back in the church…read more This was my first time attending this location, although I'm actually here all the time since they're attached to The Dream Center, a nonprofit that serves the homeless, lower income, and people in human trafficking. The lobby area is tighter than the UA campus, but it's good because greeters are more apt to see you and talk to you. They seem to be much nicer here. They were selling apparel in the lobby, so I had to take a look. Got myself a windbreaker to rep the church. I recognize a lot more faces at this campus. It was nice. Service was great. The singers on stage were also good. Seems like more undergrads tend to be at this campus since it's close by. You can sit upstairs in the balcony or downstairs. The space is smaller than UA, but it's a good size since UA has more people. They have Wednesday and Sunday night services too. We were at the 10:45am service and it was still filled with lots of people. I saw a few families, older people, and definitely some students. Parking is tricky. Since I volunteer here on occasion, I know to drive through into the second spot. Otherwise, wait a while before leaving. Would love to come back again though! I enjoyed the energy on stage. The high ceilings also made the space feel a bit more open. They're made of wood. I felt close to nature. Lol.

When I go to church or a church group, I don't want to just walk away feeling like I attended something and then go back to the same routine. I want to leave changed. I want to leave with hope, encouragement, and a reminder that God is still working in me. I want to feel inspired, challenged, and have things to pray about and ponder on. I want to grow in wisdom, strengthen my faith, and continue becoming the person God is calling me to be. I'm grateful for a place where people encourage each other, build each other up, and help each other grow closer to Christ. I'm excited for what God is doing and thankful He led me here.

Everyone is so welcoming and you truly feel like you matter and aren't just a number. This could easily happen since there a so many people who attend. They are so involved in the community and are so willing to help anyone in need. The pastoral staff is wonderful and every time any of them speak on Sunday, you will hear a great message. I also LOVE the worship music that the worship team sings. You will hear a great mix of the current worship songs and still hear the traditional hymns. If you have kids you will love the children's programs. The teaching staff is amazing!! This church lives and breathes it's mission statement. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

The praise music was a mix of traditional and contemporary. One thing I did not like is the people were not very joyful. It seemed all but the pastor were zombies gong through the motions., No one but the pastor was smiling, not even the praise and worship team. No Joy, or love of what was being said or done. Sorry I tell it as I see it. Of the lady next to me in the pew, she was nice and pleasant. She smiled and greeted me. No hugs though. I did not feel the Spirit except when Minister was speaking. At least someone is alive in that place. I know the couple who invited me are joyful, people, but I did not see them there. I know I am a bit harsh, but I may try visiting again sometime. But once was really enough.

My children have both been baptized at Eastland. I love all the people that attend services there. I am seeing more and more new faces each week. We have some very outgoing people that attend and we also have some very shy people that are not unfriendly, just shy. It's a warm loving church full of God's love.

Sadly, I've moved to another state, but I have not transferred my membership since I do return to Ohio somewhat frequently. And the communications provided by UALC are quite comforting and very much appreciated! I look forward to and shall indeed attend services there whenever I am in the Columbus area.
