I called about a week in advance to book my hair appointment with Eunice. I can tell right away just from my initial conversation with her that she was very experienced and knowledgeable about hair care. I was looking for a salon to get my annual digital perm. I was convinced that she was someone I could trust with my hair and to help me get the digital perm that I wanted so I booked my appointment with her. I was already warned that digital perms would take a long time so she told me to block out about 3-4 hours. Before starting anything, she checked the health of my hair and also talked through cutting my hair before starting the digital perm process. I appreciated how she knew what lengths and the type of haircut that would best suit me as the digital perm would grow out in the future. I also showed her my digital perms from the past that I liked and didn't like (from other salons that I had gone to) and we were in agreement as to what kind of perm, length, and shape she was going to aim for. She pays great care to details and even made sure that she had the correct intensity of chemicals to make sure that she preserved the health of my hair while perming it. I really appreciated her taking her time to make sure that she was thorough and careful to make sure that this was going to be worthy of my investment. She explained each step of the perm process as she was doing each step. She takes great pride in her work and wanted to make sure that she was also satisfied with her work. Although it was a long morning, she took great care to make sure that I was comfortable and even offered coffee/beverages while I waited. Eunice is so incredibly sweet and is so much fun and easy to talk to. Digital perms in general are pricey, but it's because there is a lot of labor and preparation that goes into perms that are done correctly and done well. I feel like her price point was fair considering her thoroughness and care throughout the process. I definitely plan to come back again next year and I am so glad that I found someone I can confidently trust and go back to for my annual digital perm. read more

I recently moved to La Crescenta and was in search of a new hair salon. I haven't had a haircut in almost a year cause I had a baby. I went in so I could re-lightened the front strips of my hair so it could be died purple. Stay away if you care about cleanliness/ sanitary salon conditions and want to be listened to as a client. This salon isn't for you. Don't get your hair done here. I've been here twice and while I had doubts after my first appointment I gave Eunice another try. Big mistake if you want your hair done the way you request. I got a digital perm, and explained that i wanted loose waves and to use the largest rollers. She used smaller rollers and the curls are tighter than I wanted. I also told her I wanted volume on top and she rolled all my hair forward so now my bangs and all the hair on top of my head falls flat. I had told her i like to part my hair on the side and now because of the way she rolled my hair it just falls into my eyes. Her reasoning was the hair on the top of your head is supposed to fall forward not to the side. What? When you part your hair to the side it goes to one side. I can't get my hair to part to the side it just falls straight down to my eyes. $350 for a bad perm. While I was there, there was a flatiron on the floor. She picked it up and put it in a drawer with various hair styling tools (different size curling irons and the like). I thought she would clean it, but she did not. She just put it in the drawer. She didn't wash her hands either. When the next customer came in she just did the woman's hair. I think this is gross. Later on while she was doing my hair she dropped something on the floor and picked it up. She was abour to put her dirty hands into my hair and i asked her to wash her hands first. She got upset and touched her face and said there was nothing wrong with her hands, she said, "See I even touch my face." But she did relent and washed her hands. Later she opened the drawer with the dirty flatiron and rummaged through it to grab a curling iron she used on me. After she was done with the curling iron, she purposely placed it on the FLOOR, where people have been stepping. There was a table right next to me. She could've placed it there. And i bet she will not clean it before using it on the next client. Who knows what's on a public floor! Gross! read more

Eunice did treatments in between the processing and I had MINIMAL hair loss (same as my normal amount if not less).
