The paint is so horrible that I have mold now on my walls because he should have used satin or semi-gloss paint! Instead, he used cheap paint. I had to pay HUNDREDS of dollars to get rid of mold on my walls because of Ceasar's mistakes! His workers "renovated" my kitchen and didn't have the decency to patch up holes in the kitchen wall and plumbing. Now, I easily have bugs coming into my apartment. I had to ask ANOTHER contractor and pay MORE money to remove the kitchen counter and patch up the wall. Ceasar should NEVER be in business. His workers also replaced the bathroom window guard WITHOUT patching up holes or cracks in the wall. Every time I shower, bugs come in the bathroom. Beware! He is cheap and takes advantage of customers who do not know about renovations so that he is asked to come in again and "repair" his mistakes.

First of all, I considered myself a very informed and educated consumer. I am very particular, pay extreme attention to details and I know exactly what I want. Let's put it this way, if I was in construction, I would be afraid to deal with myself as a customer. When my wife and I decided to remodel the kitchen and 2 bathrooms in our condo, the biggest challenge we faced was to find a reputable contractor for the job. After picking out the tiles and cabinets (read my other review here for another fantastic guy to deal with), we concentrated on finding a contractor. Out of 5 contractors I interviewed, one gave me a ridiculous estimate (he got a horrible review here by the way), one was booked solid for the next 9 months, and two did not get back to me for whatever reason. Only Cesar from Bravo came out with a realistic plan for a reasonable price, so we decided to give them a try. We started with kitchen. The crew took lots of effort and carefully tapes up the area to reduced dust. My existing hardwood floor was also covered and protected. Demolition was a non-event. Old cabinets were quickly removed. My existing island/bar was also removed so the crew can tile underneath. When they remove the existing tiles, we found the previous owner had tiled right on top of the old linoleum floor. The crew had to remove the tile, concrete, linoleum and glue to reach the bare floor. After cleaning they poured concrete on the whole floor to bring it level to the existing hardwood floor, so no threshold or reducer will be needed. Pablo and Luis did a terrific job here. The tiling process was not rushed and no shortcuts were taken. EVERY SINGLE GROUT LINE WAS PERFECTLY STRAIGHT AND ALIGNED. All of the tiles were leveled with each other. You can only truly appreciate the beauty of it if you ever tried to tile the floor by yourself. After the floor was done, carpenter Javier installed the cabinets with the upmost precision. The tight fit of the cabinets and crown moldings made these store bought cabinets look like custom made for my kitchen and appliances. After the kitchen, we started with the bathroom. There were no surprises here. Extra cares were taken not to damage the existing whirlpool bathtub during construction. When I bought the condo, the previous owner put in the bathtub recently. However, the apron was broken and it was not level. I found a similar apron to replace, but it did not fit quite right. The crew leveled the tub, design and laid the tiles in the way to make it fits perfectly and it looks now like it came with the tub. They did it without me asking and I thought that was nice. I was a little surprised to see the crew custom build a wood frame behind the drywall to recess mount a nice Sophia medicine cabinet we bought. Most handymen would probably just cut the drywall to size and shove in the cabinet with a couple tubes worth of silicon. You can't tell the difference anyway from the outside once it's finished, but the way Bravo did it was the correct way and again no shortcuts were taken. Our master bath was more problematic. The original layout was for us to go though a 24" door at the end of a narrow hallway between two closets. The door was always awkward to use and interfere with the closet doors. We decided to remove the door and knock down the wall from the top of the door to the ceiling. We added a pocket door outside the hallway between the closets. This modification immediately opens up the space and it does not feel so cramped anymore. Javier again did an excellent custom job and make the door way looks much more upscale than what we had. The master bath only had a standing shower. My wife always wanted to have a bathtub in there. The only option we had is to put a Japanese soaking tub in there. I found a stainless steel one online but after going over the dimensions with Cesar, we found it was almost impossible to haul it up in the bathroom without tearing the condo apart. Rather than risking the uncertainty of it not fit, we decided to have Bravo custom build one for us Pablo spend almost two weeks building this monster starting from wrapping the surrounding walls with pvc sheet to make sure it will never leak. He finished the job with glass mosaic tiles. As you can see from the picture, I can't hope for a better deep soaking tub! As with any construction jobs, there bound to have mistakes and mishaps, but Bravo's crew always correct the issues immediately without question and hesitation. I can totally understand that one can feel almost helpless when facing the task of selecting a trust worthy contractor and start a home improvement project. Trust me and give Bravo a try. As A person who went through the whole process himself, I sincerely hope that my experience can help you save some money, headache and aggravation.

We would rate Good House Flooring, out of Danbury, CT a negative 10 for the installation of our LVP…read moreflooring. We had two other flooring contractors come in to review their installation. Both companies, in writing, stated that the flooring "wasn't installed correctly". We ended up having to REMOVE the entire flooring and had a competent installer reinstall the entire floor. GH Flooring would not admit to the mistake or correct the mistake. Their response was " its close enough". We recommend to stay away from them. If on the off chance they cause damage to your home, (which they did in our home and refused to take responsibility) or install the flooring incorrectly, they won't correct it. Completely unprofessional and unworthy. Please take heed of our warning and just go with a real professional installer. Do yourself a favor and avoid the expense and hassle of having to do your floor twice.

I will never work with this company again! Throughout my entire project, I perceived them to be…read moreinefficient and non-communicative. There were several instances where they have been dishonest and attempted to upcharge me for work that was included in our contract. They sell themselves as a 'full service' company, but this could not be further from the truth. Instead of making the process smoother, they caused countless hours of additional work  and stress for me and my husband. We contracted with New DImensions to renovate our kitchen back in February 2022, making it very clear we needed this renovation done before our baby came in October - this was agreed upon in our contract.  They did not start the job until September - 9 months later, despite us continuously following up to see how we could move things forward more quickly. They were completely unresponsive and not at all transparent about what was causing the delays. My son is now 3 months old, and they JUST finished (January 2023) - 5 months after starting what should have been a 2-3 month job.  New Dimensions also came to us with ~$15k of additional items they attempted to charge us for throughout the project, threatening to shut the project down if we didn't pay, so we felt like we were trapped. Some of these were for things that were expressly called out in our contract, like some HVAC work and building out a few closets.  Several times, they demanded we pay them early for milestones that had not yet been completed (it is worth noting that the payment milestones are structured in a way so a majority of the cost if front-loaded, meaning we had paid ~80% of the project cost before they had completed even 50% of the work). It was exhausting to constantly be fighting with them every step of the way and caused long delays. When we brought up our dissatisfaction about the delayed timeline and repeated upcharges, some of the employees were downright offensive - literally screaming and yelling at us in a completely unprofessional way. During the project, we had issues with the speed of work, quality of work, speed of sourcing materials, cost of materials, and project management. A few of those included: Speed of work: for a full kitchen renovation, the biggest crew they usually sent was 2 people who (after factoring in breaks) only typically worked 4-5 hours each day - often there was only one person on the job site. There was limited planning for lead times or dependencies, which caused several unnecessary multi-week delays. Quality of work: they made a lot of mistakes during the project that, instead of fixing immediately when pointed out, they tried to convince us were proper, or that we needed to pay more money to fix. For instance, installing a support beam with a gap between the beam and the floor above so the floor above bounced when walking on it, installing the header for the fridge crooked, measuring the width of the island wrong so we now have a hole in the tile floor that the island doesn't cover, designing a cabinet intended to hang pans that isn't tall enough to hang pans, etc... Speed of sourcing: Often the men would arrive at our house and wouldn't have the materials they needed, so they would just stand around not working for the entire day. For the items New Dimensions said they'd source for us, turns out they actually only provided a quote and we then had to place the order. The quote sometimes took weeks of asking for and ultimately caused delays to the project because we could not order the items in a timely manner. Cost of materials (cost of which is passed through to the customer): we had one instance where they bought a small amount of siding for $6,000, which was astronomical. We had them return it and brought in our other, trusted contractor, who purchased the same materials for $2,000. This made us question every other material charge they brought to us, but at this point it was too late to go back through and do an audit. Project management: The 'project manager' they assigned to our project was almost completely absent - he dropped by the job site typically once per week and often didn't know what needed to be done. Frequently, the crew working had no idea what they were supposed to be working on when they arrived. When the project manager came, he rarely wrote anything down and claimed that some of the items were not in his department - we would then have to speak to several other employees at New Dimensions to get them accomplished. They also tried to forbid us from talking to the crew that was working in our house, effectively cutting us off from productive conversations we could have had to move the job forward. Me and my husband ended up taking over most of the project management towards the end.

REVISED: We hired SMI last year and are extremely disappointed with the result. While we liked the…read moredesign concepts presented, the execution was a disaster. We experienced repeated problems with pieces that were improperly sized / not measured or scaled correctly for the space including counter stools, light fixtures, sofas and rugs. This resulted in several items needing to be returned due to improper sizing / scale. We approved pieces under the presumption that the team accurately measured the space and verified that the items selected were appropriately sized and scaled for the room and other pieces. The issue with scaling and selection appropriately sized pieces was so significant that we had to alter an agreed room layout as the pieces selected would not allow for the design to be executed. Some Additionally, I voiced concern that a selected item would not fit through a narrow doorway and was assured the measurements were checked and not a problem - the piece was delivered and was not able to fit into the room without being disassembled and reassembled. Just two of several instances of incorrectly sized pieces. The pieces received are not to scale of what was represented in design plans. We hired an interior designer for their expertise and the ownness to ensure the items selected are appropriate in size and scale should not fall to the client. Additionally, the contract states SMI would blue tape all pieces prior to ordering to "triple" check the measurements. THIS WAS NOT DONE. Had this been done, many of the sizing / scaling problems would have been apparent. The quality of some of the pieces were poor and vendors would not remedy. We have one piece that cracked at the joints within 6M of delivery. The vendor offered a small amount for repair and would not recognize the defect of the product. Prior to hiring SMI, I inquired about quality and customer service (as this was very important to us) and I was assured dealing with their vendors was excellent. The project was extremely off the agreed upon timeline due to lack of response from the team. The project ended without us getting everything in the contract (finishing touches, window treatments, care manuals) and missing pieces that were not reselected.

SMI did a bedroom project for us and we were delighted with the results. We were flexible on…read moretiming, but because it was a small project, other interior design companies we contacted who were uninterested in working with us. Our bedroom closet remodel and room refresh were beautifully designed and executed on time and within our budget. We plan to use SMI for an upcoming kitchen project next year.

I hired Toro home remodeling to complete the task of adding shelves to my entry closet and my…read morelaundry closet and changing out both doors. They were also tasked to create a "box wall" to create more room to push my dryer back so that way the doors can close because I had an issue closing them. This box wall didn't happen because Louis said he didnt have to do that. He should have communicated that to me and reduced the cost that he charged. He felt that by getting rid of the garbage would even out this task which is some thing that should have been written in the contract to begin with. I tasked them with fixing strike plates for a few of my doors in my home and he also fix a partial door frame( which wasn't in the contract but it was done) . He also wrote in the contract that he was going to reinstall gas pipe line (that didn't happen either)The day he supposedly finished the work he wanted to collect his final payment in which he is rightfully so. However I needed to inspect the work being done. He charged me a total of $2025 for my laundry closet and I honestly didn't like the quality work provided. My brother paid him the final balance and he never fixed what he was suppose to fix before final payment. His worker only painted the closet over and cleaned the messed they wanted to leave behind. Before starting Louis told me to send a picture of how I want my laundry closet to look I should have listened but I explained to him to freestyle. My biggest mistake. Please tell me if this closet is worth $2,025. The day of collecting his balance they pulled out my washer and dryer to clean after showing them the mess one of the workers left and unfortunately I tried washing clothes later that night and my brand new washer does not work. I contacted him to find out what happened so I can fix my washer and no answer. I would not recommend this company AT ALL: I believed he took advantage of a single parent female by overcharging me for sloppy work.
