My wife and I have attempted to resolve an ongoing situation with this elementary school…read morephotographer (Photography by Felicia) to no avail. Most recently, Felicia has presented us as liars, for the second time, to the school, only to be disproven (again) and has now gone as far as to make a false claim in an email to the principle that I own a fake Facebook profile used to "disparage" her company. Being a local business owner, this latter point has crossed a line. Felicia is known to complain about everyone under the sun on Facebook and I have no doubt I've been affected. I would hire a lawyer for defamation, but it is unlikely such an offense would warrant enough money for a lawyer to get involved. This ongoing rift stems back to the beginning of the 2017 school year. Our son's 4th grade portrait and class photo prints were the color blue and visibly altered to the point of looking like goo. I have a photography background and understood the problems to be the result of an unchecked automated editing process or lack of quality control. Both are simple problems to correct. I began attempting to contact Felicia in November 2017 via email and phone to address the issues and received no reply. This continued through May 2018 and was accidentally brought to the previous principle's attention when I received an email from the school about an upcoming photo day and mistakenly replied to him rather than the photographer. I let the issue go for the summer. Fast forward to January 2019 and the PCA request for 5th grade yearbook photos. As we had not been shown our son's photo, I was concerned. Apparently you only get to see the photos if you pay in advance (this is an outdated practice). Given the fact that over a year later, the 4th grade picture issue had still not been addressed, we were not about to give any money to this company. In a heated series of emails (PCA members included) we were accused by Felicia of lying about paying for the 4th grade photos. We immediately disproved this by digging up a copy of the cashed check. By March 2019 I had had enough. Up to this point I had refrained from saying anything on social media, but now resorted to the threat of going public with our story on Facebook and other platforms. Felicia's response was to involve the principle and attempt to generate sympathy. My wife spoke briefly to him about this and was told we would finally get our photos. Success. We received the photos in May 2019. 18 months late. We moved on. Our daughter started kindergarten this year and problems have started again. We did not receive our daughter's photo despite leaving a check in the school office as requested. In an email to the new principle, Felicia again called us liars about paying and accused me, in writing, of using a fake Facebook profile to "disparaged" her. This is a baseless, defaming claim that I am very angry about. But given the number of other parents with their own horrible Felicia experiences, I am not surprised to hear it. After more angry emails, we finally received our daughters picture, but no class picture. And despite being told not to contact me twice, Felicia continues to include me in emails sent to my wife and the principle whom she has only shared a skewed version of why I am so "mean" to her. I could go on and on, but there is a problem here that is not being addressed. For 3 grades now we have been unable to share school photos with grandparents at the holidays. Our kids went without school photos on the fridge. No parents should be treated this way. School photos are supposed to bring back good memories. Not this. Why Photography by Felicia continues to be hired at Sea Cliff Elementary I do not understand. Her pattern of lies and incompetence is unacceptable and any other school would have hired a more professional company by now. The thought of having to deal with her for another 5 grades makes me nauseous.

I found this photographer to be difficult to communicate with. I booked a session for 3 on a Sunday…read morebecause it was the only one available, and then asked if I could switch to "closer to noon or after 3" if at all possible. She switched me to 2pm and then asked for a deposit. 2pm was actually worse for me, and I was then I was stuck being asked to pay for a time I didn't want. Is difficult to tell from my description, but from the context of our conversation one would assume that "closer to noon " meant 11:30 or 12:45, not incrementally closer to noon as interpreted by the photographer. I would have thought it more appropriate to check with me first before signing me up for a time I didn't want and expecting me to pay for it. I cancelled the session and Marta said that it was unfortunate and she would need to find someone to fill the spot. Then like a complete idiot, I sent her a deposit anyway via Venmo because I felt guilty. I thought maybe she would tell me it was ok that it was just a misunderstanding, but no, she took the deposit and didn't even say thank you. I later asked for it back, because I was feeling stupid for being so nice. She said something like it was cold that day and she had to sit in a car for 1.5 hours (which I don't think is relevant) and that it was too late , which it clearly was not, because I PAID THE DEPOSIT AFTER I HAD ALREADY CANCELED I'm a moron, which is a personal problem, but if you want to use this photographer make sure she understands you and you are communicating clearly, or you may be expected to pay for something you didn't ask for.

The wedding "booklet" didnt even come with a title page, our names or the date of the event!!! What kind of trash is this. Cheap cheap cheap cheap!!!! _______ The process for choosing photos was convoluted and confusing, hence why it took me years to invest the time and energy to finish my wedding book. It was incredibly frustrating just even accessing the album. Secondly, the "silver package" was not even the base package and it cost a few thousand dollars. When I inquired about a title page or a cover page, I was told ir was cost hundreds of dollars on top of the thousands I had already spent on the package which included day off photography and a wedding book. Your explanation is that "all I had to do was reach out" regarding upgrades...leaving out how expensive those "upgrades" would be. It is pretty standard to have a wedding book cover with atleast the name of the couple and the wedding date. Apparently, such a basic feature is not included. The photos were incredibly dark because the photographer took photos in shadowy parts of the venue and Abella couldn't edit the photos or enhance the contrast to fix that. Also, NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE at Abella. There are three locations, I would call all 3 and it would ring endlessly. Abella, you do not offer a premium product by any means. I will attach a photos of the abysmal album cover...faceless, nameless, bland and tacky.

When we decided to do a professional shoot for our newborn, we didn't know what to expect. To be…read morehonest, doing anything with a newborn, especially our first is nerve wrecking! After doing our research, we decided to go with Dina for our photoshoot. She gave us clear instructions for the morning of the shoot which made our day go much smoother than expected When we finally met Dina, she offered us drinks and snacks and pretty much told us to relax. I mean, who doesn't want to relax after taking care of our newborn day and night for the first 3 weeks. It felt like a day off! Dina is so soft-spoken and professional. We were so shocked at how good she was with our baby. She knew exactly what to do with him in the most gentle way. She knew when he was gassy, or when he was hungry. She would let me nurse with privacy and even offered a nursing pillow for me. To be honest, as first time parents, we obviously don't know it all but we did learn so much from our session with Dina. She taught us a bicycle trick to help our baby relieve gas. Our baby even pooped on her while she was doing this trick. SO SORRY DINA! Moving on, our session did go smoothly until the end. Our baby was very fussy but Dina was still very patient with us and allowed us to stay until we got our shot right. At the time of viewing (different date), she made a slideshow presentation for us. It was so beautiful, we had happy, loving tears! Ordering was simple and easy. She even made us homemade cookies which I'm going to need the recipe for Dina! They were delicious!
