This photographer was referred to…read moreus, so we trusted that he would do an excellent job and capture the most important day of our lives. The work, photos and attitude we received was not what we had hoped for. I would do your research and meet with multiple photographers - your wedding is your big day! I wouldn't trust this vendor with such an important day, and we are very upset with the services that we received. Below are a few reasons why: 1) Strangely, family and friends captured many more lively images with bright colors and set up shots with their iPhones, which looked much better than majority of the images we received from our professional photographer (print is better quality too, which is pretty shocking). 2) In virtually every family photo my eyes were closed or the quality is extremely blurry and you can hardly make out the faces. The ones I tried to print wouldn't print bigger than 5x7 and you can't see the image well, which is disappointing as we were gifted some beautiful, large picture frames and are unable to use them or have larger prints made. John said this would be fixed if I ordered the prints through him. I find this incredibly hard to believe as I went through Shutterfly and didn't edit or retouch the photos. 3) Majority of the photos were taken from an odd angle, and random objects are seen in the background, including an ice cream truck, which was expressly promised to be edited out. This of course, could have been avoided had the photographer taken a few steps over or asked us to take a few steps over. 4) Lastly, and most importantly, there isn't a photo of us ( just the bride and groom) that we would be proud to frame. There was little attention to detail, and my bridesmaids had to take time out of their already hectic day to help John stage photos and give him ideas (including the standard dress shot, bouquet, shoes, etc.). We struggled to find any value in the photos. On the day of my wedding, I didn't have the time to direct. Since we are unable to rewind the clock on our wedding day, we were hoping to compromise and have some additional editing that was initially promised. However, John has not been very accommodating or pleasant to work with since delivering the photos. Although we will never have the photos that captured our families on the actual wedding day that we wanted, my husband and I ended up paying for another (amazing) photographer to capture photos of us to recreate our wedding. We are beyond thrilled with the high quality of the photos and we now have the photos we dreamed of. We could have saved ourselves a lot of money and trouble had we went with another photographer on our wedding day. We don't have a single photo from our wedding day in our apartment, but we proudly display our second photographers work. My biggest advice for brides is to do extensive research when finding a photographer and take the time to look at their previous work. Please don't make the same mistake that we did.

First of all Jia has a phenomenal gift. He has the ability to make you feel so at ease and keep you in the moment. Our wedding day was magical and we owe a big part of that to Jia. Initial meeting - After calling a company who must have had Calvin Harris djing for him with his rates We found Ernest and realized his rates were right in our budget! both my fiance and I live in Virginia but we got married in New Jersey. So we didn't have a lot of free time to set up meetings. Ernest scheduled on the exact day we were going to be in town and was a pleasure to have lunch with. Immediately we knew we wanted to use him. Songs and song choices- my fiance and I delayed getting this to them until about a week before the wedding. To make it even worse we sent them about 10 songs and the wedding party / first dance songs.. Never once did he get upset, check in on us, or say he couldn't do anything. It was all met with a "great or no problem" in fact he even took my call on a random Tuesday night because we had no idea how to do the scheduling. He helped with all of that!!!! Wedding- well let's just say that everyone danced their booties off!!! With a very diverse family including kids he managed to work in poppy songs for the kids, 60's & 70's songs for the adults, dance/ rap for us and our friends.. We got compliments on how great of a job they did. Keep in mind that 10 song list I sent was done so he knew what type of music we wanted to listen to. At 10 songs it's hard to fill 3 hours of dancing and Ernest picked songs that blended perfect and everyone enjoyed. If you've made it this far reading, thank you!
