The jasmine pearl buds are supposed to open up when you infuse it in hot water. (A friend of mine gifted me this from Singapore many years ago and I was happy to have found this again). A couple of weeks ago, when my in laws were in town, we decided to visit Annapolis on a Sunday afternoon. The Spice & Tea Exchange was one of the shops we wandered into while exploring Main Street. The store has hundreds of spices and teas, some of which aren't easy to find at grocery stores. On this visit, I picked up some horseradish powder and a couple of teas (Russian black and infused green). On top of having a really great selection (whether you're shopping for yourself or for gifts), their customer service is really great - so friendly and helpful.
