If you ain't sneezing...well you know the rest! I guess I was late to the party because this was quite the pleasant experience. Before you enter the boutique you're welcomed by the aroma from the spices. There are lots of options to choose from but they have you covered. Literally from floor to ceiling you can discover unique blends of gourmet and traditional spices. Definitely ideal for the personal chef or home cook looking to spice things up. Oh and don't forget tea . There's an allocated wall of over 100 tea blends. The best part is you can have a hot tea or iced made to order from the amazing selection. They even have a calligrapher barista to fancy your cup before giving it the proper send off. Don't take my word see for yourself in the attached video and pictures. Popped into The Spice & Tea Exchange right before leaving Fells Point to grab some tea for my mom's birthday... and wow, I was not prepared for how much I'd love this place. The selection is incredible. So many teas and spices that it's almost overwhelming in a good way. Everything is displayed in glass jars, and you can smell each one, which makes the whole experience feel interactive and fun instead of rushed or generic. I ended up buying way more than planned: multiple types of paprika (smoked sweet, smoked hot), several garlic salts, truffle salt, seasonings for myself, and a whole assortment of teas for my mom plus a few for me because obviously. Every blend smelled amazing, and the quality feels top tier. This is the kind of store where you could easily spend an hour just wandering, sniffing, and dreaming up meals. I'll absolutely be back. I also recently found out there's a location closer to me in Lancaster, so that one is officially on my list too. If you cook, love tea, or need a gift that actually feels thoughtful, this place is a must-stop. read more

This is a chain but it's cool because they blend the teas here in fells point so it feels local. Every time I've been there the staff is always super friendly, and it's also a to-go tea shop as well as buying bulk tea. I've been to the location in Annapolis before this one opened and it looks the same - it's that brand consistency. It's dark wood with lots of tea accoutrement and loose leaf teas to pick from. Mads and Desiree were amazing! They were very knowledgeable and polite as my grandma and I (tea novices) explored the store. They were able to help us find the perfect blend for a family friend as well as convince us to purchase our own tea blends which I am super excited to try out. I love that they made us feel welcome to ask various questions and their answers were very informative. Love this place! I experienced this business in Maine a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised to see it in Baltimore. The staff were incredibly friendly and the selection was great. The staff here are AWESOME. I've been to one of these before but I did not expect to be consistently greeted, asked about my day, asked if I'm interested in anything...not in a naggy or intrusive way, but in a way that's obvious that they love what they do here and they want to help. I was on a "no buy" spree otherwise I would definitely have picked something up (probably the lemon mate) just to express gratitude for their attitude. read more

This tea shop is very quaint and lovely and smells so very good! It's light filled in the space, better to highlight the beautiful tea kettles (and sets), plus the aisles of tall shelves displaying a variety of teas. A customer has their pick of flavors, and whether they want tea bags or loose leaves. I'm not much of a tea drinker (unless I'm sick), but I did order a ginger based tea while I was there and it was really good! I'll keep this place in mind for gift cards for friends who are into teas and such, so I'll be back for sure! read more

I will be visiting this shop regularly! The variety and quality of teas and spices available in this shop are delightful! I would even argue that this shop is just a few herbs shy of being an apothecary, haha. The store is neatly organized with herbs and spices on one side, and tea and sugar on the other side. The window display carries a variety of tea-centric tools and accessories that would make excellent gifts for your beloved tea aficionado. I came here looking for raspberry leaf and left with a custom blend, and some dried herbs from the leftovers of the mix. The staff here is extremely knowledgeable about the products and the Baltimore area. They were able to direct me and my homegirl to a delightful Latino market across town. What will bring me back is not only the welcoming staff, and diverse selection, but also the opportunity to recreate some of my favorite tea blends from my travels. Oh man I felt like a kid on a candy shop as soon as I walked in. There are so many spices, teas, hot chocolate, and accessories for all of your spice and tea needs. I had the best time smelling all of the teas and limited myself to three of them. I also got a cup of hot pumpkin chai tea (a seasonal flavor) with a touch of sweetener. They made it fresh on the spot for me. It was exactly what the doctor ordered on a cool, cloudy day. I might not make it out to Baltimore very often but I have a friend in the area who has officially become my tea dealer every time I need more from here. Now I just need it to cool off so I can really enjoy the teas I bought! read more

The Spice & Tea Exchange is one of my favorite shops in all of Baltimore! They have an incredible selection of spices, teas, kitchen accessories and much more, making it a great place to shop for holiday gifts. The shop smells amazing due to the various spices and teas, and they even have candles for purchase (makes perfect sense given the yummy fragrances of their inventory). I like to buy my host gifts here too because it's more unique than a bottle of wine. I especially love the salt & sugar samplers for rimming margaritas, and the infused honey --so delicious!! As if that weren't enough, the staff are the nicest people you'll meet and are so knowledgeable and friendly. You can even order tea and sip on lovely flavors as you explore the aisles of this small but mighty shop. My first time here made such a lasting impression and I've continued to be a fan ever since. The shop is on a main street in Fells Point so parking can be tricky, but it's definitely worth the visit! Highly recommend. read more
