But he kindly referred me to an associate company he was familiar with called Fibre Clean. A company which he was familiar with that did equally excellent work. Prior to dropping off the shoes, my bf asked to have the soles replaced and add the metal taps to the heels. The person said not many cobblers do the heel taps but he still accepted the service. My bf picked up today and while the soles are fine, the heel taps were terribly and incorrectly placed. Rather than flushed with the heels the metal taps are sitting on top of the heel. This is not good for gait or even aesthetics. I can't believe the cobbler did the work and thought it was okay. $50 is what he charged too. Make sure you clarify about services before getting things done here.

They polished the wood while they had it. Two to three weeks, reasonable price, no drama. David runs the operation and was easy to talk to from the first conversation. Knowledgeable, straightforward, no overselling. It's a family business -- his father is the upholsterer -- and it shows in how they treat what you bring them. I didn't fully understand how damaged it was until I got it back. Now it feels the way it was supposed to feel. Solid. Sturdy. You can sit in it comfortably without holding your breath. First we meet in the office to go over colors and fabrics. David had incredible knowledge and great suggestions of what would fit with our space and accounted for our pets.
