I haven't been to the beach in a while and we recently came here and I was sad to find out they now charge for parking. The price isn't terrible, but I feel like it's happening more and more. Luckily it was mobile so I just use my app and we are headed to the beach. They do have bathrooms for both men and women and I think a changing room as well. Showers are on the left side two of them and they also have a handicap seating area. Now getting to the beach is a little bit of a walk, but nothing like treasure Island. Just gotta find your spot and get cozy. The water was pretty calm the day we went and we stayed as long as the weather would let us before it started raining. But that's FL for you.

Great place to check the sunset and even go in the water where the waters seem to be calm. There's plenty of parking.

This is the perfect beach to go for an easy beach day- access is easy and close to us, bathrooms close and accessible, playground for kiddos, and fun to watch the airplanes fly over! We like to bring kites here!

GREAT TO CATCH SUNSETS!!! The park is well maintained with lots of activities. There are bathrooms and it's open from Sunrise to sunset. Great local spot!

Nice park with a beach. I went here to see the sunset since I didnt feel like driving to clearwater again & it did the job. The beach was a little rocky and the water is super shallow but I'm happy with it! I would recommend this park & I bet its also beautiful during the day as well :)

During my stay in Tampa, I wanted to catch a sunset within walking distance of my hotel. I took the paved walking path from the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay to Cypress Point Park. The park was bustling, with tons of families getting family photos taken and others enjoying the coveted shelters and beach. There are stand up paddle board rentals, ample parking, and it's a great place to watch the planes come in to the nearby airport.

Can here today completely by accident. Looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy the bay. So after we found ourselves here we decided to walk around and check it out. The first thing I noticed was a disc golf course. Not big but but also not crowded and would be a great place to relax and practice my shots. Another thing we noticed was that there was plenty of parking. While there were a decent amount of people visiting while we were there it never seemed like it was to crowded. We did notice a few photo shoots going on which made for great people watching. While this beach probably won't make it onto any must visit beaches we found it a great place to unwind after a busy day and watch the sun go down. We took some great shots and totally agreed this wouldn't be our last visit here. While being right next to TPA and planes landing nonstop it really didn't dampen our mood to much The main negatives we got during our visit was the ice cream truck music from two different trucks that didn't leave during our entire visit. Lastly I visited the restroom on the way out and found it 85% unusable. I told the wife she should not utilize those facilities. It was rough.

Cute little beach in Tampa.... Airport near by though, planes lift off pretty close, so it's pretty loud. Bring earplugs if you just want a peaceful lay by the water

Beautiful views of Tampa Bay :)

Cypress Point Park might be one of the most underrated parks in the Tampa Bay Area. Located close to the airport and behind an office park, you would never think that there was a park located there. But it is precisely that reason that makes this park such a hidden gem. This park has plenty of shelters and is never packed like other places. Reserving a shelter online is incredibly easy, and there are plenty of BBQ grills around for you to do all the hot dog and hamburger grilling you want. Parking in super convenient as well. Finally, if you are into great views of the Bay as well as plane spotting, this is the perfect place. You get an awesome view of Tampa Bay and because the park is located directly in the flight path to the airport, you can constantly see planes taking off and landing. Fantastic place that I am looking forward to visiting again :)

nice little private spot...great for a lunch break.. watching the sunset...walking trails

This park isn't a favorite of mine. However, if I'm I do consider this park to be well balanced. It has a nice playground for the kids, beach, paved (partially shaded) walking path, a challenging disc golf course, beach volleyball, and the newest activity installation...paddleboards. The paddleboards are rentals, interior way you would rent a Lyme scooter or Coast bike. 4 on hand. Winds will affect disc golf and will kill the joy of paddling here. Heavy rains will create soggy feet on the disc golf course. This is a good starting point if choosing to cycle to Safety Harbor and back.

There's not enough parking spots for this park and parking on side of road has signs that say no parking which is ridiculous because everyone parks on the side of the road anyways. The center is currently closed due to Covid but the bathrooms are open. From what I could tell, on our mad dash to the bathroom and distance viewing, the displays are informative and well done. I'd love to return when it is safe to and take a look. The park has three trails that are part of the spree. We hiked the Bobcat Trail since it includes the boardwalk. The trail travels for about a half mile through trees and over dusty shells. Then it connects to the boardwalk. This was by far the best part. We walked along the beautiful, tree lined water, getting up close and personal with a bunch of small black crabs. We scanned the water for manatees but were not lucky to find any. The trail ends back at the nature center. We climbed the back steps to the top level and caught a great view of the river and the distant city. After the hike we hit up the playground for a few minutes. This is always my kids' favorite part. We also stopped off at the butterfly garden which was pretty active on this day. The park was in great shape, the bathrooms were clean, there were lots of people around doing various park things. Canoeing, kayaking, hiking, nature hunting and playing on the playground are just some of the things available at your fingertips here. So glad we visited! Can't wait to return to check out the other trails.

There are plenty of shade trees, and there are a few areas to picnic as well as different playground areas if you feel one is too crowded for your little one. We went to the larger playground area with my grandson, and he loved it. There are swingsets for all ages and abilities, which is very nice for all. The pirate ship has a great musical area as most kids like to bang on things that they can control the sounds. There are plenty of open areas to play ball or just run from tree to tree like the squirrels. My only complaint is that the park could be a little better maintained for trash. There was random garbage that people should have thrown away, but they didn't, so it made the park look a little unkempt. Parking is plentiful but not in abundance in any one area, so be prepared to park and walk to the playground on a busy weekend or after school.

We rented a "small" shelter that had 24 person capacity. An all day rental was about $27, a bargain. The park is pretty big with multiple areas where you can park, so make sure you look at a park map to get an idea of where you should park to be closest to where you want to go. The playground looked like a lot of fun, but our shelter was closer to the tennis courts, and the kids ended up just running up and down the hill, which was fine with me! The area looked well-maintained, and the shelters were in better shape than the picnic shelters in most of the South Tampa parks.
