They were looking at the wrong patients' medical records!!! We thought it was weird when we returned to complete the 2nd twins' shots and they said he was "all caught up and didn't need any" which was weird considering they gave our 1st twin multiple shots a week before. Even scarier, I'm not sure if they even know they made the mistake. We realized it months later when we found the other little girls' medical records in our paperwork and connected the dots. So without further ado: To the Management of RRHC, I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the substandard care and unprofessional conduct I have experienced as a patient at RRHC this week. I have been a patient at RRHC for over two years, and while I've been understanding of the atrocious staff turnover rate, this situation is pure medical negligence. The recent mishandling of my prescription refill for 7.5 mg Norco, which I require to manage my spinal cord injury, is not only unacceptable but has left me in a potentially dangerous situation. The events that transpired between August 5th and August 9th, 2024, demonstrate a severe lack of competence, communication, and patient care within your organization. Despite having an approved prescription, your staff's incompetence and negligence left me without critical medication, exposing me to unnecessary pain and potential withdrawal symptoms. The conduct of your staff, particularly the MA [redacted] and the receptionist [redacted], was nothing short of appalling. I was subjected to lies, verbal abuse, and blatant disregard for my well-being. I was yelled at, talked over, and belittled because they did not want to take responsibility for the mishandling of my medication or take the time to fix the mistake. Your employees repeatedly provided false information, failed to take appropriate action, and demonstrated a shocking lack of empathy and professionalism. I demand an immediate and thorough investigation into this incident, including a review of all recorded phone conversations. The level of neglect, misinformation, and hostility I encountered is entirely unacceptable and violates medical ethics and patient care standards. Furthermore, I expect: 1. My family member was transferred to St . Joseph's Providence hospital's ICU and had to have a…read moresurgery which the surgeon said would cause extreme pain afterwards. The hospital staff knew what medications my family member was prescribed by their doctor and was taking before being transferred to their ICU, but they were not giving my family member their prescribed medication as they are required to do. My family member was cut off of their medications instead of tapering off which could cause stroke which they should have known working in the medical field. Putting any patient in a dangerous situation is not acceptable. My family member did survive septic shock after being in the ICU at St.Joseph Hospital which I am very thankful for. The bill they received just for the ambulance ride from the hospital in Fortuna to St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka and their care for not quite 24 hours in Fortuna and part of their care at St.Joseph Hospital was a million dollars. They had not received the bill from the doctor yet as they bill seperately. Other than one nurse who was very rude and them not giving my family member their prescribed medication because they didn't think they needed to take it, they saved my family member's life. They need to work on not going by their own opinion when taking care of their patients though because that is dangerous and could potentially be fatal for the patient.
