Jon did a lot of work on our 2004 Chevy Tahoe this summer. His work was excellent and he was able to get it done before we left on a long vacation pulling our camper. Some of the work he did for me I had also gotten quoted at another shop and his out-the-door price was considerably lower than what I was quoted. That was my first time in. I just took my 2012 Kia soul which is extremely high mileage to him for some work. I had been having issues with my charging system and several places I went to (Auto Parts places) said my alternator was fine and my battery was fine. I described the issues I had to Jon and as I suspected he found the alternator was bad. It was not charging the battery properly and was not putting out the full voltage required. I had priced alternators for this car and a quality alternator was approximately $375 at an auto parts store if I did the labor. Jon charged me about $375 for a lifetime warranty alternator and less than $100 for the installation. He also had it ready a day earlier than promised. Once again freedom Automotive earned my five star review. I found out that Jon had also worked at a Kia dealership early in his career. He also did work for a friend of ours who was told that their Isuzu diesel delivery truck needed a new fuel pump for over $1,500. His diagnosis was that the second fuel filter was clogged and the fuel pump was fine. His work saved them close to $1,000. Before you go somewhere else and get a misdiagnosis I would call Freedom. Jon did a great job on my son's Honda Accord, fixing the infamous startup rattle we had. He is easy to work with, hardworking, diligent and well priced. Don't let the low number of yelp feedbacks put you off as he is new to the area but has many years experience cars up in WA. I believe you can drop off and pick up at his house with him somewhere on FM 242 & 1488 and you don't need to travel to his shop. 100% recommended we will use again. Met the owner Jon through mutual acquaintances and was elated to find out he owned an auto repair shop. As you may know, it is challenging to find a shop with a trustworthy reputation. Had the chance to get to know Jon and decided to take my vehicle in for a ton of maintenance as I was at 100k miles and have plans for my vehicle to run for years to come. He emailed me prices to everything he could find that was in need of service, that will need service soon and items that I will need down the road. I was able to go through the list and pick top priority items that fell into my budget. He found a minor issue once under the hood and called with information on it and how much it would cost for approval before he touched it. Am beyond happy with the result. I have been looking for a repair shop as I had been getting my car worked on in Sugarland but nowadays that's a little far to go.
