This has been one of the most frustrating customer experiences I've ever had: On Wednesday, I missed a call and had a voicemail from Rachel, the Center Manager of this location. She left a phone number to call that was different from the one online that routed me to the call center and I was so relieved. However, when I called the number she provided back, I was AGAIN routed to the call center. They put me on hold and reached out to Rachel, then came back and said that she was unavailable (this was about 20 minutes after she'd left the voicemail). I'll give her some credit, as she attempted to return my call again but I was in another meeting at the time, since she was calling during regular business hours. She then sent me an email requesting a time for us to hop on a call. I replied (again within about 20 minutes) that I would be available for the rest of the afternoon. She did not call again, nor did she respond to my email or attempt to call back the following day. I've also developed a pretty bad case of folliculitis on my bikini line over the past couple of days, which I haven't experienced in years (the last case being within the first 6 or so months of starting to wax). I consistently have my legs waxed every 4-5 weeks, practice proper hygiene, and follow the post-wax guidance to avoid these break outs. I followed up on our email chain again this morning to update Rachel on this development and provided my availability for a call (between 10am-2pm). At noon, I heard my phone ringing from the room over and by the time I ran to it, I'd missed the call (I'm not even sure that it rang through all the way). I called back WITHIN THE MINUTE and was again directed to the call center, who put me on hold and came back to say that Rachel was unavailable. She had literally just called me, so that didn't make much sense. I then followed up on my email again letting her know what happened and confirming my availability. She did not call back, nor has she responded to ANY of my emails. If I'd been able to quickly get in touch with the location on Monday, I would have given this location another try. But this poor customer experience and inability to get in touch with the team has left such a bad taste in my mouth. Between needing to get my entire legs re-waxed, the folliculitis outbreak, and this half-assed game of phone tag disguised as customer service, I would like a full refund. If this location really cared about their customers, they'd make it easier to get in touch with them. read more

I made a last minute appointment while i was in the area shopping. By my surprise i was able to get in within 15 mins, the scheduler on the phone was so nice, im not from this city so i was unsure what location i was asking for an appointment at but she helped me! She was not an employee of that location but still knew what location i wanted to book at. My favorite part of my experience was my eyebrow service with Sarah! She took her time to decide what we were going to do to my overgrown brows, and showed me before hand. She used so much more detail and care than any waxer i have had before. I was 8 minutes late to get my eyebrows waxed. My navigation was taking me to the opposite side of their location. I drove around a bit before finally calling to get the exact location. The number to call is a call center and not the actual spa, so that took a bit to get their actual location. I realize that that's a big no-no to be late, but I didn't do it on purpose and it is what it is. I asked if they will still be able to take me but totally understood if they couldn't and I would've been fine with that too. The aesthetician should not have taken me if she was going to be upset about it. She could've said no, and that would've been the end of it. I apologized more than once, but I could just tell by her body language that she was not happy. She made my experience very painful just to be spiteful. I've had my eyebrows waxed on many occasions. Not all with this company, but I know how it works. She pulled off the wax very slowly and I know that's not how it's done. Pulling slowly causes more discomfort and causes the wax to partially release from the hairs. It can also cause more skin irritation. Betzy, you could have simply said no to me and that would have been okay. What you did was very mean and spiteful. I hope you have the day you deserve. read more

Critical: Professionalism I work a night shift. Once I wake up I am busy to the fullest. I had this down as the 2nd appointment of the day at 430p- Barely making it, I show up at 435. I didn't realize I walked in with out my mask. I am told to go grab my mask(which I have no problem doing, honest mistake). I walk back in at 438 and the front desk tells me we don't let anyone in 9min past their appointment. I explain its 438 & that I was sorry and had other appointments before this. The front desk asked if I could reschedule an hour later at 530p. I was floored due to the fact that it is a waxing service and rescheduling a whole hour later (which I booked in my short window of a day) was a bit extreme over 1 minute. When I could tell she was not going to work with me. I stopped and stated "I would give them a call to reschedule ". I will not be calling and I am searching for a new place get my waxing done. I don't have time to argue over 1 minute. I'm disappointed. These type of appointments are a big deal to a busy individual due to working in some time for myself. On top of that, my 1st appointment I was asked if I took any type of skin medication (which I do, and believe I answered on the client form, if that was an option). I advised I did and was told we couldn't proceed with the appointment. I asked why no one told me this would be an issue. The same front dest lady told me someone should have called. No one called me prior to the appointment. These little things make a hudge difference in customer service. That is why I am so upset and I don't have time to deal with a place that does not follow through with such important "need-to-know" information. Again, I will no longer be going here. I get my brows done every two weeks so I'm in there pretty frequently. The ladies behind the counter are always friendly and know me by name, as well as remember things we talk about. I don't know how she does it but she takes whatever state my eyebrows decide to be in that day and turns them into symmetrical beauties that look perfect, whether they're filled in or not. So, this location is really interesting in that you cannot call the front desk directly. I was running about 7minutes late and tried to call, but it took about 15min for me to get on the phone with someone. By that time I was already there and considered late for my appointment. The woman at the front desk (Zendaya) was really helpful and friendly when I got there, so that was a HUGE plus. She also explained that there's no direct line to contact this location because of how busy they usually are. Anyways, when I did have my appointment, the wax specialist (Alex) was really great as well. I'll definitely be back to give it another shot, but the phone thing really threw me off, otherwise I'd have given a better review I'm sure. I have been going to European Wax Center for almost 5 years now, and they have definitely lost my business. This location is operated by Christina, whom I feel is a very unprofessional, incompetent individual. Considering how long of a customer I have been with this company I am very disappointed in the unprofessionalism of how she does business and runs her store. I am now put on a "6 month probation period" because of her employee's mistakes of not booking appointments on the correct dates that the customer has requested. Because of the lack of poor training, I am now being penalized for something that I didn't even do. Also, because this has happened in the past, supposedly this was noted in my file but I highly doubt it was at this point. I even switched locations because of how much I enjoyed my waxer and how convenient this location was to where I live. Speaking of waxers and poor training, their employees constantly talk trash about the management and corporate about how displeased they are with their jobs. I have specifically been told by a waxer that the manager of this location is ALWAYS late for work herself, always calling out because she was out too late drinking the previous night. How can this person whom is a manager of a company, call ME out for an apparent "no show", when she can't even enforce these rules for herself? Plus, the receptionists at this location always seem to be irritated and in salty mood, and not once have I shown up for my reservation is there not a new receptionist. Did I mention that I've given this company tons of money? I have bought wax passes before, even referred the company new clients. I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars with this company, and for what reason at this point? I'm sorry, but sometimes it IS about money. This is supposed to be a luxury where individuals come to unwind, even relax, and treat themselves. Instead, it's a place that is runned by a bunch of salty, gossipy ADULT women who can't keep the drama in high school. No wonder why European Wax Center is constantly hiring on Craigslist. And no wonder why the employees are switching locations and moving elsewhere. Honestly, I don't think I want to be a customer to a company that not only isn't professional, but their employees openly talk about how much they hate working there. I called corporate and they told me that it is up to the manager of the location if they decide to not put the probation period on the customer. If this is correct, then this all just seems very hateful for no reason at all. I guess if you can lose one customer then you can lose them all. I hope now that I have aired my concerns for this location, I hope that someone can reach out to me to help mend this customer relationship like professionals in customer service should. read more

I only have one positive about his place: the quality of the wax job European Wax Center did on my eyebrows was always good. My eyebrows were waxed and plucked to perfection and I always felt good about the shape when I left. However, everything else was so terrible that it overshadowed the waxing experience. The worst part about this place is how PUSHY the associates are. I bought a package that allowed me unlimited waxes for 10 months. You would think they would be less pushy to a person when they visited the store multiple times in a month. But every time I was there, I would be made to feel uncomfortable as associates would continually push products and future wax passes in my face. I was even asked one time by a waxer to pretend to the receptionist that I was interested in buying one of their products, so it would look like she did their job. So I was put in yet another uncomfortable position of saying I was not interested to the "we don't take no for an answer" receptionist. It got to the point where I was feeling harrased to buy items. Another annoying example of their pushiness was the pressure I would receive for booking an appointment in the future. I would explain time and time again that my work schedule is too inconsistent for me to schedule future appointments, but they proceded (EVERY TIME) to tell me the benefits of booking future appointments. I even asked for a note to be put in my file saying I do not like making future appointments, but that didn't even work. The waxers always smelled like cigarettes. While most were friendly, it was hard to get over the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke so close to my face. They would also never recognize that I was a repeating customer, which is frustrating when you are spending so much money. Every time I would be asked, "is this your first time visiting us". This is not a way to keep customer loyalty. Many of these frustrations could have been solved with a simple computer system that allowed the receptionists to keep notes of their customers. The last few months of my wax pass became dreaded as I knew I had to keep returning to this dreaded place of repeating conversations in order to get my moneys worth. If you are simply looking for a quality wax job, then you may be able to visit this establishment. However, if you give any care to customer service, go far, far away from this place. read more

I would definitely say I am disappointed & feel cheated out of my money with service & how they charge almost 120% cost & give you 70% of your service. As a woman, I been getting Brazilians done now for 2-3 years. This time around. I didn't require nor need one due to the last wax I received not all the hair was quite grown back in. Also, due to that technician was amazing but had no available for a quick appointment. My issue with this service is I asked the front desk & my wax tech to explain to me the difference with "bikini line or bikini full" $7-8 dollar service charge difference. I decided to go bikini FULL because obviously I will be on a cruise & on beaches for 7+ days.... The woman goes had an shows me "the area" of what I'm paying $33 dollars for. So I said ok go ahead and give me the full which In my mind means "EV-er-a-thing".... After my service I noticed where my thighs start & my V ends... My bikini line was not fully touched. She didn't take the remaining hair off on my inner thigh leaving me with a weird 1 inch of hair even FURTHER OUT from where she waxed my bikini line and where the damn thing starts.... Lady I told you the bikini FULL & paid you more for it. You left me hanging to shave off the remaining dark hair every other day now & will be noticeable to public literally by tomorrow & my cruise hasn't even started! I just moved south a year ago and was so excited to see European waxes new location go in. I used to live more central and go to the Triangle location which was my wax haven. My first time in I saw Brittany and she impressed me so much with her quickness and knowledge. She made it almost painless by distracting me with her wit and lovely personality. She definitely made me feel very comfortable. I almost forgot where I was and what I was doing. If you wax, Brittany is your go to lady! For my first wax I choose a Brazilian wax. I had Alex and she was thorough it wasn't plainly like I though it would be. Alex was wonderful I highly recommend here! However the second time I went a week before my anniversary I had Hannah. Her wax was sloppy, strips of hairs were still there, mind you when I went for a Brazilian. She did big strips instead of small ones likes Alex. Hannah did not take her time making sure my hair was removed properly. After 3 days I was prickly. Hannah is Very Dissatisfying! I went back for a touch up but it hardly helped. My first time here was wonderful but my second was a Nightmare! For a Brazilian wax I do not recommend Hannah! read more

I've been coming here and seeing Melanie since before the pandemic. She does a fabulous job and is very professional while still keeping me at ease. While I can't speak to the rest of the staff, I know that Melanie rocks and the front desk staff are always polite, informative and positive. Which can be incredibly difficult during these times. All in all I love this location, I trust their procedures and protocols, and if anyone is looking for a wax professional they can trust ask for Melanie. read more

Worth the money!!! I've been going to the Southpark Meadows location for about 1.5-2 years now and I love it. The front desk staff is super friendly and helpful, and the lady who waxes me is amazing The "hard" wax they use is much more gentle than the traditional wax that requires strips of material. I actually have scars from the many years of going to other places that used this kind of wax (which was also usually way too hot). Other places also didn't listen to me about the look I wanted, waxed way too thin bc of an existing scar I'd told them about to avoid, which ultimately made me unhappy with my overall appearance. On my first visit, the anesthetician (sp?) asked me if there was anything I felt like needed changing. She listened to me and let me know what we'd need to do to achieve it - and it worked! The office staff knows me by name and is always super helpful if I have to change appts or anything like that. I highly recommend this location!!! read more
