Kate is amazing. I got a Brazilian with her. I've waxed for 10 years, after a REALLY bad wax at another nearby place I tried the wax center. The girls at the front are really nice and very reassuring to new clients. I overheard one of them telling a client what they do and how it works as well.as how this receptionists wax was. This means ALOT to a nervous client. Good job ladies. Kate was prompt and took me right away. She cleaned the table, while asking about my waxing history, advised me to undress and pulled paper on the table. She turned her back when I was undressing which makes me feel a lot more comfy. I jumped on the table, she asked what I wanted to remove from my bikini, explained what each product was as she applied. I told her I was burnt before and was scared of it happening again she tested the wax on her own inner elbow to show me the temp was SAFE. That means a lot because anyone who ever had a burn "downstairs" understands the agony. My wax took about 15 min. She let me lay how I like to do my rear, I don't like to lay on my stomach. I felt completely comfortable with her and we had a lot common. She is super sweet and really funny. She explained why I usually had ingrowns (EXFOLIATE ladies) and guided me to a product line. I tried the wash and lotion tonight after a shower and I like it a lot. As a woman who is very insecure of her body I have never felt so comfortable with someone. Ladies if you have ever been afraid of a Brazilian go see Kate. She said every water she works with is great and trusts them all to wax her. Make sure you book the next appointment when you checkout. I cannot say enough great things about EWC.. now that I have found the right esthetician!! Went for my first brazilian back in July at their location on McKnight Road which was a good 45 mins to an hour drive for me, but i completely fell in love with the place. So I was very excited to hear that they had a new location opening in Mcmurray. Being completely comfortable with my previous waxer I was very hesitant to try someone new, but I did anyways for the convenience of location. My first time going to the McMurray location I was very displeased with the esthetician I had chosen. It was a total fail in my book. She zoomed through my wax leaving stray hairs and completely missing rather large patches of hair. I swore I wouldn't go back, especially to her. My husband was even disappointed and that says ALOT. I was so completely disappointed too, but my four weeks went by and it was time for my monthly brazilian. So I figured I would try another esthetician out and I am so glad I did. Holly is honestly so good at what she does! She is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. She talks to you the entire time keeping your mind off of the waxing process, and not to mention the pain too. She answers all your questions thoroughly and is very detailed about her waxing. Holly takes her time and makes sure the job she does is to the highest standard and I cannot say enough good things about her! I've been several European Wax Centers before and am very pleased with the company's prices and process. I can't even describe how happy I was to notice this location opening on my commute!! I have gone to Kate two times now for a full bikini and find her to be extremely informative, friendly, and calming during the wax process. I highly recommend booking an appointment with her. She explains her process as she goes and will gladly elaborate if you have any questions. We quickly got to talking both times and it made the process go quickly. They use a purple-ly colored wax that is not hot on your skin and easily pulls off. And Kate is very thorough to make sure she does not miss any stray hairs. I do recommend the ingrown hair serum product they offer- it's fantastic! Because the first visit to one of their locations is free, it's totally worth it to sample their products! I could never complain about a sterile, thorough, friendly full bikini wax for only $40 and am going to continue returning to this location. The ladies at the desk are informative about packages and pricing, but not pushy. I really considered doing a package or a pass and they let me know about the payment plans available. Maybe next time! If you're a waxing newbie or a seasoned pro I recommend this European Wax Center if you're looking for getting the job done well and doing so inexpensively. I went to the European Wax Center yesterday evening after years of hiding my bikini line from bumps and razor burn. I made my reservation so easily online and I called at least twice leading up to my appointment to bump up the time of my appointment and stress my skin sensitivity. The receptionist was so kind and gentle and calmed my nerves so much! I was so taken aback by the professionalism of the setting of the Center as well as the staff. My Wax Specialist, Melissa, was extremely professional, told me about the wax and the aftercare products and made something that I had envisioned "Steve Carrel in the 40 Year Old Virgin" seem like a cake walk. Not lying, it hurt. BUT, Melissa explained WHY! She told me the more often I am waxed, the changes I will see in my hair. I adored her and thanked her for treating me so kindly and professionally. Have I used the word "professional" too often? It's intentional. That is what was so important to me. Their aftercare products are luxurious and affordable! I've been going here for about two years now. I've seen various waxers, but now am a regular with Autumn! She's the best. Very friendly and fun to chat with, as well as great at her job! (I began coming here because most spas would not let me bring my well-behaved pre-schooler with me, and I hated to use up my kid-free time for a brow wax. Now my preschooler is a first-grader, but I still love EWC :) I go for brow waxes every three weeks, as well as the occasional bikini wax. I like to buy a nine-wax pass when they do a promotion and give you an extra wax for the same price. The front desk staff is great with letting you know when there are promos. They also offer unlimited wax passes for those who come more frequently, as well as student discounts. Highly recommend! read more

I just started coming here for my first wax ever a couple months ago due to a big vacation and was such a great idea! Front Desk is wonderful and helpful! Kaitlin is AMAZING!! I was very nervous (like I mean shaky, anxious, heavy breathing nonstop AH) for my first wax and she was kind, kept me distracted, talked through it, made me feel comfortable and was very quick so time flow by which was great! The pain was bad for the first one but after that wasn't as bad and she always does it quick and always very sweet and helpful! Everyone here seems nice, Highly recommend going here and even asking for Kaitlin. I have been coming here for almost 3 years. The girls here are great and very friendly. More importantly I've had great a waxing experience here. I have gone to both Tiff and Nicole. Both girls are very helpful and do a great job. I was scared to let anyone touch my eyebrows but they both listened very well to what I wanted and helped me accomplish it. I would recommend both girls for any service as I have had other services with them ;) but I hear everyone here is great. The wax is awesome, it doesn't burn and it is the least painful I've experienced. I only wish that it were possible to keep the rooms a tad warmer but because of how the wax needs to cool they have to keep it cooler. So bring your jacket if you get cold. read more

I had a fantastic experience here today! Holly is amazing. I had both my brows done + my first Brazilian wax ever in life. I was worried it would be awkward to "bare all", but Holly made me feel very comfortable. The process was not nearly as pain as I thought, and I have no bumps or redness at all. Holly also does the most amazing job shaping my brows. I'm a performer for a living and my look on stage is very important so it's great to have someone I can trust with my look! First time at the Wax Center and my experience was amazing! The front desk staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and made me comfortable while I was waiting for my waxer. I had Nicolette wax my eyebrows and it was definitely the best wax of my life. She showed me how the wax is different than a traditional wax and almost pain free. I just completed my second visit with Nicole at the McMurray location. I must say she is the best. I have already seen great results and Nicole explained everything before she did it. The products she recommended have been great as well. She has been very realistic about the results that I will see based on the products I use and how often I come. After learning about this business at a wine festival I decided to try them out for a brow wax. The staff was extremely helpful, they explained promotions and prices. Emily did my brows, and she told me every step of the process and why she was doing it. Everyone was friendly and personable. Also, they use I different wax method then anywhere else. I found it to be far less painful. I usually have a hive reaction to brow waxing and with their wax I had no reaction. I love coming here, They are all so helpful and professional. It is a true spa experience. Kaitlin is great, very good at what she does and is funny and friendly to boot.
