They have been having a promotion for a wax pass for about a week and a half. Keep in mind this is not something cheap that you're purchasing. It's at least over $200 I could not buy it online (only with that location) so I figure I'll just go to the location and buy it there. I had been trying to call for three hours and I just thought maybe they're really busy, after all, it's Saturday so I drove there and at 3:30 they were closed with a sign on the door, even though the hours on the door say they close at 4 o'clock and yelp says 5 o'clock. Agree with everyone else saying they cancel with no notice and just send a text saying "we had to close call us to reschedule." This has happened 3 times in the past year and they even called me to confirm 2 days ago. Not sure if it's poor management or the wax specialist just doesn't want to go in? This review is for management and not any of the technicians as I've not had a service here yet. I've made 2 appointments in the past week. I don't live close and travel in a couple of times per week to visit my mom in the hospital. Both times I've made appointments 24 hours in advance, and both times I've received calls within hours of the appointment saying that the esthetician will not be in today and they need me to reschedule. Both times, I called in to see if I could see someone else and they told me that the they're closing the entire center. If you're closing the entire center, say that and not just blame it on the esthetician not being in - it makes it seem like they are unreliable and makes me not want to book with them again. I've also been given zero reason as to why they have closed the entire center either time. I would definitely not book here because they're more than likely going to cancel your appointment. I guess they just don't like business/making money? read more

I've been an EWC regular for 3 years now. I've had to move several times for work and ALWAYS find an EWC to go to for my waxes wherever I'm at. At one point I had to relocate to Springfield, OH for work and would drive 60 miles one way to the closest EWC location in Dayton to be taken care of. I religiously only use EWC because I had several very bad experiences at other places before discovering EWC, but I've never had a bad experience in 3 years with them. Every location is incredibly clean and hygienic, and all the staff are very friendly. I know that wherever I'm at I can expect a high level of care and cleanliness anytime I walk into an EWC location. (Glen Ellyn is by far my favorite though). I have been to a few different EWC locations over the years and this one is my favorite. Jessica is the friendliest and most knowledgeable esthetician I have ever seen. She is funny and makes me feel so comfortable. I have struggled with ingrown hairs for YEARS (while still being waxed at EWC) and she is the first person who has helped make a difference. Two stars because the waxes have been great. However, I have the wax pass and this location has canceled on me SEVERAL times the day before, the day of, and even 10 minutes before my appointment. What I find unprofessional about this is the text messages to tell me. No call to offer a new appointment, just canceled. Then when you text back for a reschedule...no response! Why do they cancel on such short notice? Most of the time, the wax specialist has called off or quit. My theory is poor management. Not to mention that some days they canceled because the whole shop is just closed. Save yourself the headache and go to another location. read more

Like others have stated TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT. I called on 3/3 and made an appointment. Showed up for my appointment and Nia Acosta, the manager, claimed I didn't have an appointment. She then checked her caller ID and confirmed I had indeed called and made an appointment. She was apathetic, at best, and condescending at worst. Her attitude, behavior and demeanor was unacceptable. She refused service. I've been a customer for 3 years and I was livid by the way she treated me. I was so appalled by her behavior I asked for my prepaid waxes to be refunded. She refused. So, they refuse service and refuse to refund my money for services I've already paid for. I asked for her manager's information and she refused. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau. I don't know if race was a motivating factor in the way I was treated but I noticed Nia treated the visibly white customer in the lobby much nicer than she treated me, a non white person. read more

I love this place because I have finally found an Esthetician that does an excellent job. I initial would go to Maggie for a bikini wax but recently came to get my eyebrows waxed with her. Omg! She is phenomenal. My squared shaped and dull looking eyebrows finally look more beautiful than ever. Thank you Maggie! I have been to both Naperville location and Glen Ellen location and although I don't recommend one location over the other- I highly recommend Maggie as the go to girl. I had a great experience at this location and I will definitely be back. Zoe does my Brazilians as quickly, efficiently and painless as possible, but she's also very thorough. I'm a huge baby when it comes to getting waxed. I've been getting opinions for weeks on where to go, but when it came time to make an appointment, I never went through with it. A sponsored ad came up for European Wax on my timeline, so I decided to bite the bullet and give them a try. I'm glad I did! My waxer was Raeya. I warned her that I'm a big baby and abhor waxing, but she was patient with me. She told me they don't use strips so it should hurt less. The eyebrows didn't hurt at all, my lip only hurt a bit but the chin was so painful. I will say she was very thorough with my chin. Pricing is a little bit more than other places I thought about going, but I liked how clean it was and it seemed less intimidating to me. You also get a free wax for your first visit. I ended up doing a package for eyebrows and lip because you get 3 free. They'll also let you split it up so you can pay a little here and there. After pre-paying like that, I consider the prices very reasonable. You can also do unlimited waxing, but the lady at the counter was honest and said it wouldn't be a good idea if I didn't want to come regularly. Thanks for a great first experience, Raeya! read more

I went in for a Brazilian today and saw Xariah. She was so amazing. This was one of the least painful and most thorough waxes I've had. She did such a wonderful job walking me through the entire process and she made it as comfortable as possible. She talked to me about different exfoliators that will help with my waxes. Great atmosphere when checking in. But since it was my first time ever getting waxed I had no idea what was in store. Nothing was really explained before hand so I was caught off guard. After the appointment I asked for prices and they said it would be in the welcome gift bag but nothing was listed price wise just "refer a friend coupons". Please don't spend your money here. If you're smart, don't sign up for a wax pass. You will never see that money again. Say goodbye to $500 for services not rendered. I thought it was a good deal until I found out the hard way that they take your money and won't give it back. I showed up 1 minute past the late policy after calling ahead to warn them I would be late. When I called I was placed on a 5 minute hold so I just started driving. Finally when an associate picked up the phone I was informed since I would be there at 10:55am and not 10:54am I would not be able to receive my services. I told them I was already two minutes away and they told me I better make it by 10:54 or they wouldn't service me. I arrived at 10:55 and the associate had me wait 2 minutes as she was busy then told me I arrived late and couldn't receive my services. I asked to cancel my wax pass she told me it would take 48 hours as there wasn't a manager in the building. She said she filled out a form. I asked for a receipt of the form, she said she would send me an email. I waited in the store for the email, it never arrived. The manager walked in (surprise surprise she was there the whole time) and spent 10 minutes on her laptop doing who knows what. She then came over and said she found my account (it took her that long?) and that she couldn't cancel my passes and give me my money back. I asked what she could do and she said she could reschedule my appointment. Now keep in mind it is now 11:15. I said when, she said 11:30. Why this was not communicated to me initially when I called I have absolutely no idea. If Tania at the front desk had just told me I could switch to 11:30 when I was going to be arriving at basically 11 I would have just gone shopping and gotten some food for half an hour in the strip mall. Instead, I was spoken to rudely by Tania and given the run around by both her and the manager. Why is the store willing to compromise business like this? Don't come here, they will hold your money hostage and treat you poorly. They've also been under construction for the past year. There was a flood in the building and hasn't been resolved. I went here like a month ago and was recommend to Katelyn from a friend I think that's how you spell her name!! She was hands down amazing!! It was my first time getting a Brazilian she was sooo fast and I was shocked that it didn't hurt as bad! She's really good at waxing. It seriously lasted month. I had a little bumps couple days later but that's completely normal waxing in a area you haven't waxed before it happens, I know this since I am a esthetician my self ,Katelyn her self recommended products and same with the front desk girl and they gave me a lot of samples to! Terrible experience waxing. Service okay, but too quick and painful. They use the wrong technique and rip the hairs so that it grows back quickly and with many bumps. So sad when leaving because I knew it would be a terrible time with outgrowth. Hair grew back within a week, and never had so many bumps. read more

In and out in 15 minutes. Don't buy the products thought. Didn't do much for me and you can find cheaper stuff for ingrowns and itching a drug store.
