I've never strayed from her, she's so fast and you never feel rushed. I am extremely disappointed with management and front desk staff. If you make an online appointment, please call YOURSELF to confirm. As a long time and loyal customer, I went online and scheduled an appointment. Thankfully I called prior to leaving. Low and behold the receptionist advised me she did not show an appointment. I told her that I had a screenshot of the appointment. She then advised me that there were no more appointments as she just posted an ad on Facebook and everything filled up, " a lot of her friends booked" were the exact words. I asked her if she was serious??? She then informed me there may have been a computer glitch. I told her she needed to make this right as I am a regular. She became belligerent and I was not going to engage in such pettiness. What they did not know is one of my friends that also goes to their establishment was there later that day and overheard them speaking ill of me in the front lobby. Now isn't that a phenomenal way to express customer loyalty and appreciation? I think not, do not waste your time on this place. Let's face it, we are adults and pay for a service. My friend Osiris V. recommended Waxing the City to me. She goes to one in Oak Brook, but Waxing the City has locations just about everywhere! Honestly, the solid five star rating had me suspicious. However, I promise you, these are all legit! I had my eyebrows waxed last week by Diana. She did an awesome job. She's friendly and knowledgeable. The service itself was the most painless waxing I've ever had done. At worst, it was like removing a Band-Aid. The process was extremely thorough too, the little tool used at the end of the session caught me by surprise since the buzzing sound had me slightly worried I'd end up with a teardrop tattoo or something. It smoothes out the skin, or something like that. The best part? My super sensitive face experienced NO redness and NO breakouts. Normally I leave a wax to go straight home and put on my make-up. After this wax, my make-up was still on my face, undisturbed. I could have gone to dinner without looking like I'd put a hot iron to my face. The prices here are a little bit higher than my old place. But the convenience of the location, the super sweet staff, the ease of booking appointments online, and the PERFECT wax job has me sold on spending a few bucks more. I've been to the location a few times with no problem but my last experience was a nightmare! My technician was nice enough but she waxed the same area multiple times. I woke up the next morning with extremely inflamed skin that required a trip to the doctor and an antibiotic. I called and requested to speak to the manager/owner and never got a call back. Elaina was amazing! She gave me such a great first experience with a Brazilian wax. It was pain free and was so quick. I've always had issues when getting my eyebrows waxed due to my sensitive skin and I went in thinking I would have uncomfortable hives but this experience was different from all the others. My first time here, didn't know they've been here for over a year. They're kinda hidden, but they're closest to Douglas Rd & Old Post Rd intersection, behind the Old Second Bank. I booked a Brazilian with Megan. Loved her! She was very friendly, great, explained everything that she was going to do so I knew what to expect! I know this a sensitive service, but they make you feel as comfortable as possible! Their location is also very clean & they use a special hard wax to make it less painful than it would with soft wax & cloth strips. I was a little nervous too because I'm 35 weeks pregnant, but it was almost painless. I recommend taking Tylenol or Advil 30 minutes before you're appointment, & exfoliate a couple days before. I will be back at this location! I used to go all the way to downtown Geneva, but so glad this place is only about 10-15 minutes away! read more

For some reason, the company makes its employees use soft wax for legs. WWHHHHHYYYYYY, it's the worst! I'm glad she was allowed to use hard wax for the bikini area, but seriously. Soft wax takes so much longer, hurts more, leaves legs sticky, and doesn't work as well. The prices were good and I'd love to get the membership, but I'll go back to my regular salon that uses hard wax. read more

****ONLY GIVING TWO STARS BECAUSE OF MY MOST RECENT VISIT**** I have been going to this location for the past 6 months and I have never had an issue with my waxed besides my most recent visit. I had scheduled an appointment last minute for a Brazilian and got in pretty quickly. I've been getting Brazilians for the past 6 months so I know what to expect and walk out of....but this was possibly the worst wax I have ever received. The lady that waxed me was very sweet and kind but I walked out so unsatisfied. I usually like to keep a patch of hair and she didn't ask me if I wanted that, so I told her and she had already taken off all my hair from the top:( she kept apologizing which I appreciate that but I really did not want it bare. To top it all off I was there for 50 minutes. 50 MINUTES FOR A WAX???!!!! I'm usually there for half an hour at most. Not only that but after she left the room for me to check how it was, there was still hair left!!! I did not bother saying anything to her because I was already there for so long. I came home and also noticed she had ripped my skin off. I'm just extremely disappointed in my last visit. If you're looking for someone to go to I would recommend Diana or Megan. read more

The girl was young and clearly inexperienced. Never had such a horrible experience, even the first time I got waxed. I asked her to stop because it was taking so long and so painful because she clearly didn't know how to tear the wax off, and she stormed out of the room and never said another word to me. I paid full price for this terrible service. I called another WTC location to find out if I was crazy or if it was truly a rare, awful experience, and they were shocked by what happened and even offered for me to go to them to FINISH my wax for free. I did get ahold of the manager, and a 50% refund was offered. For a horrible service that was incomplete, I still feel 100% should have been refunded, but sometimes it's just not the hill you want to die on. I strongly recommend asking for an experienced employee to avoid issues like mine. read more

After having a bad experience at a reputable place, I was paranoid and looking for somewhere "safe"! I am fairly picky about cleanliness, professionalism and results, so this was a decision I was taking most likely heavier than I needed to do.. I brought my junior high aged daughter with me as well for a cleanup and we both had a fantastic experience! They really "checked all the boxes" for me.
